People needs to learn more about Bitcoin's and ETH's (and etc.) fundamental. Everyone should at least know how does the wallet work and how different of each wallet type. Which kind of information is public and which one is not. So people will know which information that MUST NOT BE leaked, for example, private key.

For those who use web wallet who keeps the private key for you, make sure that you trust it otherwise everything could be just ... lose.

People who earn Bitcoins get hacked because they are not careful. You can avoid being hacked by securing your social media accounts and email account. You should use strong, unique passwords for all of your accounts. Using two-factor authentication is a must too. And last, never ever tell anyone about your account, wallet, and passwords.

All are fiction, created for entertainment & chaos. There is no way you can get hacked bitcoin unless it is insider job or way beyond that (I mean the person/group control bitcoin system). There is a lot secret behind bitcoin system you would never able to know.

Because sometimes people download things from the internet that have a wallet stealer. With this they can be easily stolen. Also sometimes links that are infected can also steal your coins.

If you prevent this hackers will have a hard time hacking in your wallet.

Many are attacked by hacking because they use the account that they do not have any security.
Hackers can not be easily infected if they use more security accounts.

Indeed this already now many scammers tried to profit in the bitcoin. It is proven there are some cases that I have heard and all have almost the same technique, one thing that we do have to understand in a Groove or a technique created by fraudsters is the promise they gave. If you find a huge promise or not could probably be achieved then that it is definitely a con. And don't ever do an investment place which does not have a clear plot and they do not have a good reputation.

Although cryptocurrency seems to be 6-7 years old, the mass adoption (maybe we cannot say so yet), seems to start from middle of this year, thus many people still are not aware about its technologies. Because of lack of clarity regarding cryptocurrency (including buying, trading, storing, etc.), they are vulnerable to hackers. The best idea would to be store your bitcoin (or altcoins) in a cold storage (e.g., Ledger Nano S), but if you haven't bought one yet, then you can use desktop wallets. The least safe option should be online exchanges. If you have no other options than exchanges, then try to select the best exchanges, and also keep in 3-4 exchanges rather than all bitcoin in one exchange, such that even if one exchange is hacked, you don't loose all bitcoin. Also, keep reading and learning, so you will know the best ways to protect your bitcoin.

There are low chance of someones bitcoin account being hacked. The security of these accounts are very high because sometimes you need to verify it thru the use of your email accounts. I guess that some of the bitcoiners are hacked because of their carelessness. They might provide their private keys and personal information to someone they do not personally know. There are lot of safety rules here in the forum and that is very easy to follow.

Bitcoiners get hacked because they don't secure they all accounts and passwords. We need to be aware of the hackers, scammer and thieves because they are very smart about getting the others money. They don't have a heart so everyone can be victimized. So we need to wiser for them.

Maybe because they fail to secure their account details by not being aware to online threats such as phishing sites and malwares that could access their information.

It is because their accounts lack security. Or the wallet, bank they used is not safe enough. It is also a possibility that they have a poor password.

why is that hacked? Maybe because of disobedience to some rules or there is also the intention to steal the account.

Easy. Don't invest on HYIP, Ponzi and Doubler. There's no such thing as free bitcoin. Everyone should need to work just like any regular jobs. Specially new comers to the market are entice by this offers. Don't trust them because they will just run off with your money. And for hackers and thieves, it really depends on how you secure your bitcoin. Get a wallet that is trusted like Electrum and Core and put a password that is very hard to cracked and keep your private key safe, don't share it to someone you don't trust.

The reasons why people getting hacked is because they are careless and lack of knowledge and they don't know what is the proper way of securing their Bitcoins, device, wallet and private key. Some loss their coins because they store it on a wallet provided by exchanges and that site got hacked, like what happened to Mt. Gox. Some are victims of ponzi scheme investment sites.
How can I avoid these?
To avoid being attacked by hackers never store big amount of coins in online wallets and exchanges because they will not provide your private keys/seed and they are all prone from hackers, keeping your private key/seed by yourself is the best way to secure it and it is important that you have a backup. Do not visit or download any file on suspicious/untrusted sites to avoid your device being infected by virus or malwares.

On what certain aspects does the hacked bitcoiners didn't follow the safety rules mate? Can you explain further what is the certain safety rules that a bitcoiner should follow? In that case we aren't certain about those safeties been imposed in every wallets of trading sites, but all I know is most of those reasons that might lead to bitcoiners of being hacked is a victims of those phising activities. That would be the best opinion I ever had here, so if anybody can add up kindly respond those questions raised here.

You need to use a different password on every single site (and make it properly different instead of a variation).

All sites get hacked - bitcointalk was hacked in 2014, and everyone started to receive phishing emails plus attacks on their logins for various exchanges. Those who had set up separate passwords for each exchange were safe, but those who'd reused the same thing everywhere got burned.

Don't be lazy people - make sure all your passwords are different and make sure they are all at least 12 characters.

This is good explaination i think. What mean private key? Mean its just for us not for other people.
But sometime logon fro phising link also one of the factor. Always chenk your link before logon.

They get hacked because of their negligence.
It could happen through phishing web, virus, or less strong password.
In order to avoid it, you have to create 2-factor authentication on your wallet.

You avoid getting hacked by not being greedy; there's a thin line between that and being financially street-wise. Most of the people I know who got scammed are those same people who believe that you could earn quick money in crypto without doing anything. The same people who time in time gets lured into investing into ponzis and hyips.

In any financial system you will find people who exploit that system. Internet banking must continuously evolve to protect their users and Credit card information is hacked every day. The weakness in Bitcoin is the 3rd party services that support it. You will find that the Bitcoin protocol <code> is Bulletproof, but the software that are being used by 3rd party wallet providers and exchanges are the point of failure and the target of most of these Hacks. <this is not Bitcoin's fault, but rather bad programming from the developers that wrote that 3rd party software>

Try to avoid storing large amounts of bitcoins in 3rd party services. Keep the majority of your bitcoins in cold storage.

I think reasons of hacking has a certain reasons why people do that. Most of them, is maybe because they want to leak information or worst is to steal.  If we bitcoiners will have a loose control to our accounts, these scenarios might happen.

To those that are becoming victims of hackers are probably not checking the websites that they are visiting. Giving out important information without asking themselves if that is a legit thing. To avoid this thing you just have to keep on checking the URL of the website you are visiting and if you found something suspicious or wrong spellings. Close your browser immediately. And with trades, most of the victims that are being scammed doesn't use an escrow, solution is just use escrow.

You just need to open your mind more to your personal securities, no technology have no bug, bitcoin is secure from its system, but the access to wallet and address is not, every people have their responsibility to take care of their private data and keeping the access to their personal address/wallet from any strangers as well as those hackers who's trying to steal data from vulnerable user.
Cloning, multiplying, copying bitcoin in the real blockchain is obviously impossible or atleast, take too much effort to do, but, simply stealing data from the vulnerable users is simple thing that hackers could do.

Because they are not knowledgable enough about the threats and how hackers work to access their wallets or to perceive a scammer during a transaction.

As far as I know there are ways to protect your wallet and avoid being hacked but sometimes if you keep downloading unlicensed and unnecessary applications on your computer, there's a big possibility that you can be a victim of a phishing site. If you are living in an online world it is necessary that you know how to protect yourself against these things.

prevention is the most important thing. most people often forget and neglect with a private key, that's the main reason the rampant theft of a wallet address

so we can prevent it more precisely and install security on the computer to avoid phishing that can take all your password and key address.

The issue of getting hacked is mostly due to its User. Why? first regarding with wallet, almost all of them have their own ways of getting fully secured but due to so many confirmation need to be done, many of the them don't even bother to go with it. Second with regards to scam site you can easily spot them with the word "FREE BITCOIN", "EASY MONEY" etc. No one in this world gives free money with no reason. Being "Bitcoiners" we have our own share of work. and lastly don't ever share important info the public you're not born yesterday to not know that the world is full of scammers.

Hacking BTC most likely job for hackers, nobody can find them and punish as in the case of banks.
But in more situations users themselves to blame and pay for their carelessness
Imself will be hacked one time on blockchain.info. My account have all security opsions: mail security and 2fa on the phone, but its cant save me

I think. Bitcoin users are attacked because they use some simple passwords. The hacker can find any of your information from facebook or upload any information you post on the internet to steal your password and they will easily get all your bitcoin. Make sure you set a secure password and keep your password secret
