I think waves will become a good choice for you rather than counterparty, but can you tell me about what is your plan with it? do you wanna build your own token in there? basically waves already launched its decentralized exchange site which can be considered as the more advantage for you. I vote for the waves.

With all the development going on behind Waves and Sasha being behind it, I would pick waves with my eyes closed. Long term waves should be in 3 figures in USD value.

Couterparty is more good. It base on bitcoin blockchain. Dev team release many updates recently. I will choose Couterparty.

I always like Waves. This is the most potential coin after Ethereum. Waves transaction fee is so low. But for counterparty need high transaction fee. That's why I love Waves.

Counterparty is a shitty coin, and waves is a dead coin, it is upto you to invest in both of them, because i am sure that they will probably give you profit in a long time from now.

Waves has been frozen in those levels, from $3 to $5,50 for more than three months, i dont know why a lot of people are really trying to hype this altcoin because it is obviously that it will never be touching more than ten dollars if it does not receives a huge pump / huge notices from some governments, or something like that.

Better to invest into ethereum, or in bitcoin, those are the only ones who will never go down.

Counterparty is not an option to take into account right now due to the high fees you have to pay in btc. Waves is cheaper and in my opinion quite better. The problem with waves is the lack of liquidity, something in which they are working now.

I donīt know if the OP was asking about the coins or the platforms. My answer is about the platforms.

for me WAVES, they are doing a great job, the release is coming quicker.

the test of WAVES-NG was a succsess, and i'm waiting the feedback of the new GUI, but tester had to sign a confidentiality close. so we will have to wait.

on an other side, SAsha is doing a big job to have a legal framework for ico, talking to russian autorities, and i perceived a steve jobs in him (can't tell that about a lot of project leader).

Waves is going to have a nice week during this following days, but is very risky to invest in there, because you can put all your funds in there and have the same ammount of money stucked in there for months.
Waves is not doing a good job, they are so slowly and their devs are updating the platform once a month, so it is not worth it.

But if you really have hope about this coin, then invest now, because as far as i know there are going to be some big releases during the next week, maybe it can grow to six dollars each one of them again.

Well I wouldn't be impartial but I prefer Waves. I am not looking for a quick profit anyways and I planning to hold on to my Waves for awhile. I also like Waves DEX which I use.

What is the best? or should not I think so?

Counterparty has a native currency called XCP. It was originally issued using a provable method called "proof of burn". This method involves sending bitcoins to a special address that renders the coins permanently unspendable. By avoiding funding during its launch, Counterparty has ensured that developers and users have equal financial opportunities. During January 2014, 2125.63 bitcoin were sent to 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr(worth roughly US$1.8 million at the time). XCP is used in the Counterparty protocol to create new assets, make bets, and perform callbacks on callable assets. Counterparty used proof of burn to issue XCP, instead of a more traditional fund-raising technique for altcoin launches, to keep the initial distribution of funds as fair and decentralized as possible, and to avoid potential legal issues

Waves is better than counterparty because it has small amount of fee transactions, you dont want to pay fees with large amount of BTC.

maybe for now more will choose waves ,, because currently the bitcoib price is too high and maybe only a handful have big capital that can survive in bitcoin investment .. because they have greed to see the investment move in long term ,, but i think waves will increase in the next few weeks ....

Certainly we can not know the future of any other Cryptocurrency maybe we can see in the future that Altcoins may have a potential someday just like bitcoin did in it's price but I think that there are a 9% of Altcoins that have the potential in really getting in a 4 digit amount in the future.

And right now waves have a $5.12 value but I am not saying that waves will not make it in the potential list of Altcoins that will survive, because just like bitcoin it will need a lot of years to make it in the big league and if you are thinking of investing with waves then go ahead while it have a minimum value.

as you say, the waves do not have a high potential. but to raise the price to 10x it is not impossible, but it waves not a coin that in the future can rival bitcoin. it is possible that price waves will be raised but it will not be long, because not so many people use the facility or adopt this coin in their stock or company ,,

None of them.

Both of projects look dead or unusable as for me. if you want to hold your money for a long-term - choose some other coins.
Really, you can find something more interesting and more reliable from top-50

I haven't done too much research on Coutnerparty. Is it still developped?

But my hopes for Waves are too much.
