Is now the time to go all in on altcoins?

We need the competition between BTC and bitcoin cash end for this. Noody is buying altcoins because they don't find them secure, as expected.

We'll need another strong bull market for altcoins, but this is likely to happen in mid 2018, around May, probably. Which means, we have to wait much more for our altcoins.

Recent days you may find the LTC, BCH and Dash increased with the good growth bro. Please go with the least value coin which future potential that is right way to see the price growth and the income will be double after a month or year.
So now Ripple and Neo are best coins which show the enormous growth in the future. You can purchase those kind of the coins to get the better profit.

Wait for the BTC pump. Its going to make a run for 8K before the end of the year. When that happens you'll see all the alts in the red. Check their price in BTC not usd and buy the ones that loose the most against btc.

Might be a bit. Bitcoin continues to ruin all other coins. What could really help would to have a place to buy alts with fiat just like Bitcoin. It would help break the hold it has on us some.

Perhaps if an alt became accepted outside of just trading it, like accepted as a payment method by a big retailer, or perhaps if exchanging and trading became more accessible to common-folks through banks and investment houses, that would give things a major boost...

No investment in the world can be in a perpetual state of growth, I think alts are going to recover some of the value they lost against bitcoin in the last months but I do not think we are going to see another pump in some time, right now we are in the phase were we need to accumulate the most coins possible and position ourselves before the next pump happens.

LOL you seems to hold wrong bags. Many alts boomed drastically in last few days.  When Bitcoin was gaining value drasticlly a week ago Monero was even under $85 but now is $125.  I am sure there were bigger gainers, since Monero is always hard to move since is a solid crypto.

Well Dash made an interesting run. Nearly touched $500. Unfortunately I missed the bull run and now its too expensive. I think BTC is still better than others till 2018.

I am having difficulties with predicting what will happen even next week, every decision brings loss today, it is anymore very strange and risky market.

The AMB is growing really fast. That's the coin I invested in. Had a dip (as all alt coins) but since today is showing steady growth on Coinmarketcap, Etherdelta and Binance.

It was good time to buy altcoins but we probably couldn't catch it. There are too much problems with bitcoin and cash. Especially about forks, pumps, dumps etc. Altcoins are in danger.

We cannot say that this is the time for altcoins but if investing search those that are good coins. Which offer a profit atleast, but I am positive altcoins will pump again. Thus, invest on those coins which is profitable.

I m not sure but it seems the war between BTC and BCH is over and of course BTC won this war. Now there are many good project with low price. you can pick some of them. The most ımportant thing is you must never be a weekhand. If you believe project and team than no worries.
look lisk , ok, ltc , grs , vtc , omg , pay , adex and of course eth. buy some of them and just wait. dont sell but HODL .  In the end you will be winner. There is no reason to keep btc now. It makes correction and i dont thing will go again 7K. 6.5k $ is fine.

Under the current market conditions, as expected, people don't buy altcoins. We need to reach an end for this bitcoin actions. And later on, people will start buying altcoins on the market. This will bring action to the prices and we'll observe nice price rallies from altcoins.

Dont ever go all in. The max you should do is 75% from all your investment in crypto. Crypto market is unpredictable. Sometimes even shitcoin can goes prety high without fundamental growth. If you ask " should i go half of me investment to alt " i will say yes. And you should see boscoin and exscudo. And for erc20 you need to see genesis vision.

Seems that Bitcoin price correction has finished and the price is going to be more stable. After bitcoin price becomes stable, many people invest in altcoins and that high demand will chase the price to rise.

I don't think we'll see another alt coin boom like we did back in June for quite a while. Maybe at least a year. But I'm sure there will be another one none the less.

I see a very weak attempt at some alt growth after the the 2x was called off. I really thought once the 2x was over we would have some money pouring back in to alts. But all we got was a tiny pump and dump, something we have seen all too often over the last 4-5 months. No sustained growth vs USD and a continuous downtrend vs bitcoin. ZOOM out on the charts and look at the big picture for all the top altcoins.

In order for alt-coins to boom they first need a stable price for bitcoin but also a market in which people are confident in bitcoin, unfortunately we don't have that right now. I expect that in a few weeks things will improve for bitcoin and we might get the first period of stability we've had for quite a few months, then I expect bitcoins will boom.

We can hardly make a certain speculation right now. Your guess is as good as mine. I think the altcoins can now breath freely and rise without much hindrance for now. The problems brought by the scheduled yet failed SegWit2x is done already. The pump of Bitcoin Cash, which was probably because of its own set fork or some pumping operation, is also gone away and Bitcoin Cash has gone down already. Perhaps this is the altcoins season now.

Nope, I will try to go to the altcoins at the time of the all of altcoins get rekt due to the bitcoin or another reason. i will believe altcoin will be comeback again as soon as possible and as you can see more people are taking their advantages through buy the altcoin when it goes red. I am thinking, any moments from now alternative coins are going to boom again. Some of them has started recovery from the last down movements and by the first week of next month we may experience a heavy pump of altcoins market. I have been trying to get to the level in my cryptocurrencies analysis of getting to know when a particular coins is about to go up or down.

If you love to take a risk you will go all out with alt coins, but make sure that you risk well choose your altcoin well if It has the potential to grow up in the next fork, but if you go with btc it is a wise decision when you decide you go all out with your capital btc is secure you will have to wait to pump up its value and make the trade.

There's no specific time for this, we can't tell this right away but it really depends on the situation of every altcoin. I think when bitcoins are falling opposite happens to altcoins so yeah it really takes a lot of study before you say that atlcoin will pump.

i think it is the right time to go and buy altcoins because as you see , we are now starting to see that altcoins are now slowly increasing and one example of this is bitcoincash. so i guess it is better to buy now and expect that youll get a profit within the next few days , just make sure to  choose the best altcoins that will suite your needs on what is your goals, wheather it is long term or short term.

In my opinion, the altcoins performance for the past fee weeks are basically dismal if not outright disappointing. Bitcoin continues to the trusted currency of them all despite the very high price. So it means many people are still sticking their guns with BTC. Frustrating for me who has many investments on altcoins.

It is very unusual times for making trade recently. BCH and BTC dominates the market. If someone wants to invest to digital coins, it is hard to make now. Bitcoin seems unpredictable right now and it's still high for people who have little amount of money but still it is more safe. Altcoins would have been seen better to invest on but as I said, these two folks don't allow them to rise up. 2018 will answer our questions I hope.

On the other hand, I think this is the start of the booming of the altcoin market. They are all green because people have already gotten back to altcoin because the war on BTC vs BCH is done. BTC won and those who buy BTC is also a altcoin trader so I'm expecting in the next couple of days, altcoin will get the needed attention after this war is over.

as long as altcoin price is very low I thought it was a good time to buy. altcoin is increased when bitcoin price falling or stable. bitcoin price the currently still volatile even tend to increase again. But if you're investing for the long term I think it is time to buy altcoin and holding until the beginning of the year 2018.

I know it sounds cheesy but Altcoins have taken a huge hit within the last weeks, they are being majorly undervalued at the moment which is why you're seeing them all on the green zone. All this money was flowing into BTC forks in hope that new coins would be generated, and that didn't prove to be the case. Now all this money needs to go back to where it came from - where people believe it will have potential value and huge returns. That place is non-other than the Altcoin sector! Altcoins offer the best return on investment and the highest risk at the same time. I think however the risk if far worth it considering that they can make so much money for you.

I think investors are now moving their funds to the altcoin and the altcoin market just have started to move towards the positive direction. we can see the altcoin boom again soon.

Yes, the altcoins have begun to move forward with most of the tokens indicated with a green mark. People who invested when the price fell low could have started to move it towards the exchange for trading purposes. There is currently a big time competitor with bitcoin, which needs to finish first before we start looking fully into altcoins. This is really disturbing the altcoins and their holders.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of altcoins out there. Your question is too general you are assuming all altcoins will have a slice of the pump pie once it happens. Unfortunately some coins are not really worth investing your time with. So I should say that the altcoin bom will only happen for some select few. The question NOW is, what coin would that be.

When bitcoin is falling. Definitely altcoins are going up and they eventually recover. That is only my observation and doesn't mean that the same pattern are happening all the time.

The charts moves up since the segwitx2 is canceled. I looking forward for nice profits until spring.

As bitcoin decreases, altcoin usually increases. Altcoin is heavily influenced by bitcoin and market information. At present, bitcoin is increasing again, this is a good time to buy into altcoin.

Some people are saying BCH will supersede BTC. This has folks worried that they backed the wrong horse when they bought BTC over BCH.

That’s like saying because we own silver, we shouldn’t bother with gold. The market is big enough for both BTC and BCH.

While BTC may not be able to scale (yet), the BCH scaling solution is not without its drawbacks either.

I missed the BTC BCH rally. I'm holding 100% alt coins. I'm not giving. Have seen the full cycle before. I anticipate alt coins will pump at the end of this year and beginning next year. Just need to wait a little longer.

Just wait for the bitcoin pump, probably before this year end until the end of January. When you see the market on red and bitcoin is the only coin gaining, that's the time you should start buying those altcoins.

Well i do believe altcoins will get again more investment and attention into 2018, this year we will see bitcoin growing into December as happened into the previous years, besides those im expecting some return to altcoins from February-June. I do know bitcoin has raised a lot but im pretty sure a lot altcoins has lost a big value against and they will readjust the same way they made this year.

Right now it seems like it is the right time to buy altcoins, I do not know if altcoins are going to pump anytime soon but I do not think we are going to be able to get altcoins at cheaper prices than this, so of those that enjoy the risk of trading this is the perfect opportunity, but I prefer to play it safe and I will keep holding my bitcoin waiting for the day it skyrockets.

Yeah I agree with this mate, we have a better and nice opportunity to think of buying now because price will now rise of its value after a series of massive dumping, that made the price value very low. If you have to check in every trading sites nowadays, there were signs of changes that positive signals of the percentage of the changes of value has come up to pumping trend. The sell value increased and also the buying demand rises, so we are able to determine that early this year most of the altcoins will boom again as bitcoin price stabilizes.

Never go all in to any coin, even Bitcoin or fiat. Always hold something different. I don't think altcoins will rise in short time. Most of them are overvalued after this years rally. Wait for desperate times, when people want to sell all their coins be greedy and start buying.

2018 will be a good year for altcoins if you ask me. A bull markey may start in 2018 and this will take all the altcoins to the top of their prices. Thus, we'll see ATH prices for each altcoin. I believe.

I think we are starting to see a little uptrend in altcoins, at least most are holding ground, I think we may see a period of stability with bitcoin around 7500 usd and that in my opinion will be the time for some altcoins to make their move

Maybe altcoins for now was in the battle of economic crisis, because most of the altcoins prices are fall down. However I believe that those crypto are starting to recover this November and I'm looking forward for the big increasing of their value in the following year. Because it's seems developers of each coins are stopped improving their crypto in the market.

I think altcoin will start to recover just when bitcoin price stabilize, bitcoin was very volatile since September, and likely it will continue until the end of this year.

I guess so. These several weeks are altcoin weeks definitely. No more hassles for now. But come December, Bitcoin will once again start its bull run if Bitcoin Silver will push through. Of course that is much expected because the bigger part of the crypto community will be shifting to where the free money is. But I hope there will be no serious effects of this to the price of altcoins. They are already suffering too much.

No alts have been dormant for the last few months. It's picking up but btc fork is holding them back.

Its hard to tell when or what alt coin will be good but since alt coin price is dependent on bitcoins current value,plus weather if the coin will have a good eco system or supporter.
Right now bitcoins price is really high and people are choosing bitcoin since it will have more profit to them than other alt coin.

I think 2018 will be very decisive for most ICOs that will be over 3 year by then, because alot will be asked of them to move their platform to another level which will be to monetise is and most of these project will find it hard to gain users talk-less of making profit

I dont think it is the right time for altcoin. I observe that when the value of bitcoin rises, the value of altcoin will fall down. So if there are a lot of demands in bitcoin, expect lower demand in altcoin. So it will be hard for everyone if we just put our investment in one. Its better if we hold bitcoin and also altcoin. But be careful on what coin your going to invest. Because there are many scamm came out.

Too many ICO and alts released everyday, but it doesn't mean that we will not give altcoin a chance, i have seen some of my hold coins from bounties that still moves somehow, we just need to wait and keep mimd the project purpose that can help to make it green.

This.There's so many more altcoins now with money spread around in. The market needs a ton of new money to come in for a true boom to occur. The number of alt coins has doubled in the past 6 months. Everyone wants a piece but there simply not enough money to go around.

It is hard to say when will altcoins boom again. You can see now, there is no good news for altcoins now, excepting Bitcoin cash after Segwit2x stopped. I think you should use your skill to trade day by day is better to wait for a boom.

I would say that alts will climb big on monday. There will be a correction for bitcoin before that.

We do have altcoins like Ripple, NEO, LTC and Bitconnect are coming up fine in the market though we have btc growing on other side. Though the growth of these altcoins are comparatively slow, they are towards a positive hike. Better invest in these altcoins.We have new ICOs like ZIGGER, TRIPPKI, VLB and so on with good projects and teams which assures of good growth.

Bitcoin price raised from 7200 to over 8000 and now it's back to 7900.

Btc rise is astronomical! I don't think it will last forever. New money will eventually flow into altcoins. I'm a little pissed for not holding any btc during this pop. But I'm confident alt will go up again.

Bad strategy, bitcoin is the biggest coin in the entire market you cannot have a good portfolio without bitcoin, you need to have a big amount of money invested in bitcoin that way when it goes up and your alts go down you do not lose money, I know that the profits you can get with alts are greater but you need to reduce your risk by investing in Bitcoin as well.

I think it could be better to wait till mid December. It’s not the right time yet. I will start investing that time but I’m think more for low budget investments, if you are looking for a tip about high amounts , you may ask other people.

I am feeling sad again when I last looked at my altcoins in my Blockfolio account. My goodness! Everything's crying with blood all over my portfolio. Well, except Bitcoin. Because it is Bitcoin that is the number one culprit for all these, its $8,000 plus breaking once again. The feeling is actually both happy and sad but sad primarily because my portfolio is largely made up of altcoins. I wonder when altcoins will really boom again.

I can't says what altcoins are boom this month or in next year 2018, because all altcoin seems have a good foundation in crypto currency community and it means that they can build a good relationships to all users of digital currency.

However, In my opinion ethereum, bitcoin cash and waves are the altcoins who increase more their value in the future. Because even they have a lot of problem they can manage it easily. Otherwise their systems are fully developed so they have no doubt that in the future they can easily adopted.

Crypto in its current state is still primarily speculative, so actually trying to pin point the future direction of anything in this market is just guess work with next to no value.

I think the best way is to add step by step to some of your favorite altcoins when pullbacks happen but also always keep some btc. This way when altcoins
start growing big again you are already invested. Much better than jumping on the train when it has already left the station in my opinion.

BCH will destroy most of altcoins in future because most who have money will invest in bitcoin others with try bitcoin cash or ETH.

Seems like altcoin bottom has been found. All alts are very strong although Bitcoin jumps from ATH to ATH. I expect heavy moves soon.

Some of them are booming now and the peak is far from reached.  :)

I think bitcoin will keep going up till the end of the year maybe it will be 10 000 usd, then after that altcoin season will begin probably in February or March. But altcoin is so low right now, it can be a good buying opportunity if you have a few btc and want to gamble. Maybe altcoin season will come sooner if Btc doesn't have any fork but I doubt it...

Forget the boom just invest in low risk coins and your portfolio WILL increase!

There is a probability that other crypto may boom if the price of bitcoin again falls below 6k$. Plus the ever cancelled hardfork may even affect the crypto price either negatively or possitively. If you are looking for big profit, you may look at cryptos other than the top 10. Hodl then sell.

I think the beginning of 2018 is when altcoin will explode. Since the price of altcoin is currently very low and this is the time when people buy a lot of altcoin. By the beginning of 2018, when investors sell bitcoin to buy on altcoin, their prices will increase.

We cannot find specific time period for the boom of the altcoins. Some altcoins has got pumping groups behind it, that at times manipulate the growth. Other than that, the entire growth is upon the volume of asset in the inflow and outflow through different exchanges. Right now the price increase with bitcoin keeps them without much growth.

I believe that 2018 will be huge for all crypto.
But do not expect, that all alts boom next spring, how it was this year. It can happend at any time.

I am expecting a collapse in Bitcoin soon. It will be maybe in the beginning of 2018, or in middle of 2018. Just before that we may see a rise in altcoins and then collapse in all cryptocurrencies. This may sound like nightmare but they will all recover after that, no one can claim all prices will increase without a correction.

This time we may not see a huge increase in all coins, but the ones that really has a story behind. In the last pump, exactly all coins were increased even without a fundamental reason.

when it will happen by the date, it is difficult to say. but you can voice the conditions under which the altcoy will again begin to grow significantly. i cannot think that this is the time for altcoins but if i invest In some coins. Which offer a profit atleast, but  altcoins will pump again. Thus, invest on those coins which is profitable.its my opinion

We must wait for next Bitcoin pump, when it will start growing altoins will explode but it will come in half of 2018 probably

altcoins are already booming since the start of 2017 so that is still going on. You can consider that the market capitalization at the start of the year was about 25-30 billion, right now it's 240 billion and it keeps on rising on a daily basis, at least half of that money is already into altcoins. Bitcoin has a dominance of about 50% and it's very important to realizise that half of the value has come from altcoins, and many of them have already proved that they can indeed deliver and showed everyone their true potential. Look at XRP and ETH for example, they had increases of several thousand percent this year and they continue to do well. The first wave of interest has come and passed, there are still many who don't know what is going on in that sector, when the second wave come's, we'll experience another great price increase.

With everything that's going on, we might need to wait a little. Gain some trust again.

Once bitcoin holders decide to sell their bitcoin, the price of altcoins will go to the space simply. They will buy altcoins instead of bitcoin and they will make their trades accordingly here. You should wait.

I doubt if it will last forever too but we cannot really say for now how long it is going to keep doing this. The rise in bitcoin has really made altcoins to feel it badly and most of them are even finding it hard to break any ATH or even sustain it for long if they do as most people are trying as much as possible not to miss the BTC bullish movement cause of any Alt.

However, like you have said, nothing lasts forever, at some point there should be a balance for a while to give the Alts some breathing space.

Many people will not have too much of a problem with bitcoin cash if it did not promote itself as the real bitcoin, there is space for both of them but I think that is what has bothered people the most, and with the recent pump in the price we could see the price is being heavily manipulated by whales and the miners and that does not add any credibility to bitcoin cash.

I have bought a lot of altcoins in the last weeks.

Feels like alts are ready for a bull run. Bitcoin is heading from ATH to ATH and alts are strong and stronger day by day.

We are booming! Look at almost all alts and the prices they had earlier this year. I also wish that we had a higher boom but we are still climbing.

did not wait long, projects are growing again, many projects have made great growth in the last couple of days.

I guess if a project can come up with some idea that is useful in the real world and not just in theory and maybe in the future if the society turns towards digitalization, than the altcoin of these projects will boom, no matter what happens in the crypto market. Recent examples are power ledger or modum. Both solid projects with ICO's that didnt sell out, but people are realizing the value proposition now and start buying them.

It hard to predict, when will the altcoin will boom again in the market.
Since the value of bitcoin, is so high that cause the altcoin bleed now.
And we can't say until when the bitcoin stay at that amount.
The important things is bitcoin remains on top.

I dont think altcoin will go up quickly. It seem increase slowly day by day. Therefore, trading is more better than invest in long term.

The price of altcoins in my analysis sometimes depends on the price movements of bitcoin. Bitcoin holders really a big impact to the price of altcoins. But I still believe that altcoins and bitcoin will continue to boom in the coming years, be more patient and do hold more.

We all have our opinions but I do not think that is going to happen, a significant amount of money is going to enter the market before the end of the year so a crash at the beginning of the year seems highly unlikely, I think that what we are seeing is something different, this is not just an increase in price, to me this is the beginning of the mainstream adoption of bitcoin and that is why I'm keeping all my bitcoin and not selling any.
