Title: After The Protest of Miners
Post by: bitcoinmining on November 13, 2017, 10:30:05 PM
Guys things are going crazy right now. Is it possible to return to Segwit2x fork plans after the protest of miners? What do you think about new possibilities?

Everything is possible in the crypto world, So we could have a segwit2x fork coming future but right at this time things are not bright for forking. I dont think fork will come soon but if it comes I will be happy as I had few bitcoins bought for forking. And the time it was cancelled I was shocked to be honest.

Haha yes the whole market is crazy, we can see everything at the moment, but return to segwitx2? no way, it is not going to happen because those fucking bastards decided to cancel it for theirselves, and that is why they switched to bitcoin cash and they caused all this mess in bitcoin.
If they didn't wanted to create all that innecesary garbage, maybe bitcoin would be upto eight thousand dollars right now, maybe more, because bitcoin was on a huge bullish trend before all this mess.
But it is fine, we had to learn about that, and we all lost a lot of money because of those guys.

Yes, it is very much possible for  Segwit 2x to take place in future. Segwit was called off temporarily as the stakeholder couldn't come to a conclusion (that's what was stated in the email). Looking at the current numbers of unconfirmed transactions, the demand for bigger block size may take momentum. But really we don't need a new coin created from the fork as of now. The real win win situation will be the activation of Segwit without the creation of a new coin.

Personally, I will always agree to unleash mining. Because otherwise they will be the same as always who dominate the subject. It's more Segwit2x should be minable via GPU

Can you please cite your sources about this protest.

If SegWit2x implementation will be revive again then I think this is the first time that a Fork that has been cancelled will be brought back in the table, increasing the block size of the Bitcoin network is a must because the number of transaction is unbearable. Bitcoin developers implemented SegWit for a reason and they also want Lightning Network to happen but they want SegWit2x to happen before they do that so if only the consensus will not be a problem again then I hope for it to pass because it is badly needed by the Bitcoin network.

Miners have become such a mafia working for Bitmain's interest. I sincerely hope some opponent to this obvious monopoly will emerge soon...

Seems that you are right. Miners are showing how much they are powerful.

in every group or people involving an activities have to right to voice out their feelings in the ways by protesting, but for me segwit2x are already cancelled so we need to respect the decision of the majority, and returning of segwit2x have chance about 40%

there may be pro-contra with hard fork, I do not know what the effect is, but I think it might be good too, because it will clean up the parasites here and will improve the existing system, maybe because I listen from my friends hard form sort of maintenance

What protest and where and when? do you have any idea how competitive Bitcoin mining is? there is no sane person to intentionally halt their mining process for whatever the reason might be. some of the early adopters which are now billionaires thanks to Bitcoin had a few hundred K's of Bitcoin, they sold a few percents while attacks were ongoing for a week and then jumped on BCH to make it as if every body left Bitcoin for good and then started to pump BCH by dumping BTC. if you check their site, you'll see they're selling a digital currency and claim to be the number one, when you see some body is selling you a currency, you should know they own it, I have never seen any body selling Bitcoin as the best digital cryptocurrency, they are only inviting you to join crypto community and profit from everything it can offer.

Judging by the fact that Segwit2x was only shelved and not cancelled, I'm guessing the probability of that happening is pretty high. I don't think it will generate much hype though. People will remember Segwit2x as the failed fork, which should not paint a pretty picture upon its return. There's also the fact that nothing much has changed since then, so they would still have the problem of lack of support. It's basically just dead in my opinion.

In this uncertainty %40 is really high for the science of possibility... If there is a chance for that, everbody should buy Bitcoin from these cheap prices.

By the way I'm supporting the fork without creating any coin, created fork coins like BCH, BCG are just speculators material nothing more.

All the miners are trying to do whatever they want, so it would not surprise me, because a lot of things happened to the market and to the whole community durung the last few days.
Six days ago i was just quiet and relaxing on my chair because i thought that i was going to receive those segwitx2 coins and that everything was going to be okay.
Three days later all this thing just explode, it is insane, because it all is happening so fast.
I wonder what could happen if all this thing with segwit comes back again.
