I am selling some coins in the alt section, and i have recieved a message from this guy:

After we talked on telegram where he refused to escrow and insisted he will go first, i accepted.

While i did recieve some sort of EDO coin

It wasnt the real Eidoo coins, as shown in etherdelta

After i showed him the etherdelta print...he split!

Your thread would be misleading other people.
You got scammed by U2016, then you are blaming eidoo token?
I have no idea what fake "EDO"  token you got from him. Please post all other proofs, like the tx ID when you sent to him.

His account has negative trust since 1 year ago, why you still believe with his words and dealing without any trusted escrow?

I'm real sorry for this situation, but

U must change the tread name because i have think u blame eidoo, and is not good.

I read about a similar case, where another user (prospectorsPR, i think his username was) tried to take out loans in the lending section using fake ethereum tokens as collateral. As far as i understand, he would either create, or use an existing token with an identical ticker name as the coin he impersonates.

In the lending case it was targetcoin (TGT),the scammer then sends his fake TGT coins to the victims real TGT address, and if not paying attention to the details, or waiting till 100% sure you have the coins in your address and that you can sell them in the proper market also, which you should always do, then you might fulfill ur end of the bargain seeing how much trust he put in you.

The same guy (prospectors) tried also with a fake Eidoo coin in another thread, I apologize for not bringing in links. Might edit this post with reference links if i stumble upon them again.

Be careful when dealing with Ethereum tokens is what i've summarized.

I would not be surprised if this is either a copy-cat or the same guy attempting to scam more.

LOL you are misleading people that make us thinking that Eidoo coin project is a scam.

If you are going to report someone please make a proper title please. do not mislead the real purpose of creating a topic.

What is that EDO token? he created the token with the same name himself?  ???

It is so funny to watch how everyone is saying that it could be misleading to ''some people'' yet everyone understood what i said :D

It doesent take a genius to understand that when you state that '' it could be misleading to some people'' , you are actually calling those people you are refering to as being dumb.

I have changed the title tho because it is energy consuming to recieve PM from all sort of perception experts.
