Despite all of its economical advantages, it still definitely has alot of downsides due to cryptocurrencies being in a very very early stage of development. There's going to be alot more "political" conflicts and there's going to definitely be alot more factions in the future due to possibly alot more disagreements on various issues and solutions.

because bitcoin is a new technology that is different from anything we have known so far.
because it is decentralized and nobody controls it.
because the price is volatile and that makes buying it risky.
because it has a lot of enemies including but not limited to banks that attack it by spreading lots of false information that creates panic.
because most people are too lazy to do some research and see what bitcoin really is and prefer to continue using the old familiar things instead.

Hmm because some people fear in online investing because they always think they will be get scammed plus they didnt believe in bitcoin they didnt know much about bitcoin

People fear about bitcoin because they think that it is attached with internet so when the internet is turned off then there will be no use of bitcoin remains. For this reason the digital currency is not that much trusted but anyhow for high returns there is a risk involved so it is good to have bitcoin.

People don't fear Bitcoin. The establishment fears it. banks fear it. Governments fear it.
They fear it because Bitcoin removes power from their hands and gives it back to the people.

I'm not afraid, but it's true that many people are afraid of bitcoin, but I think it's a layman who has not understood bitcoin not even know about the internet too, and many people think that bitcoin is like gambling, hyip, bitcoin as a fraud without them researching more about bitcoin.

People feel it is not safe invest in online currencies. Bitcoin price is also very volatile, some people don't understand the blockchain technology. People fear about security and safety of using wallets.

maybe because goverment not made legal yet and goverment made statement bitcoin is bad.. and people believe of goverment that bitcoin is bad and fear to use it
 altough bitcoin is good thing and useless if people not learn bitcoin, people will be fear and not know its so good thing

because bitcoin transactions are like anonymous although they can be trace, but people are afraid of that,

Even though the price of bitcoin goes higher and higher it is still unpredictable and there is a chance that the value can drop even lower this maybe the reason why people fear bitcoin like what other thinks it's like a bubble that may be gone in an instant. I guess if bitcoin become stable people will start to believe in bitcoin and forget about their doubt. The demand of bitcoin grows very fast as well as the number of people who believe in bitcoin also grows

Number 1 fear is the fear of getting permanently ban on our country would result to a loss of investments in bitcoins, because government our not very supportive of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it cannot be control by them, they are very suspicious of transaction coming from bitcoins because they cannot view what is going on and they could not overlook if the transactions are legal or not. And the number people of not aware and who is in disbelief of bitcoin are still too many and they are influencing many people to stop believing in cryptocurrency.

It's a contender over fiat system. It already shows that we don't need intermediaries to do trades or transactions with each other. Intermediaries are deeply built-in in our economies hence they've became an institution thus they've became powerful over time. But since the birth of bitcoin that very same power becoming more and more obsolete giving these institutions and governments less power than they used to have.

I think what people fear is volatility of Bitcoin. We have seen its value fluctuate in the last couple of weeks in significant amounts. But keep in mind that Bitcoin has gone a long way from the moment it was introduced. So it is really just a matter of taking risks and believing in bitcoin. 

People have fear about issues connected to bitcoin, like volatility, lack of regulation and adoption, the fact that is new technology that could develope in many diferent ways and similar. On the one side they are attracted to bitcoi because of huge profit potential but on the other they have fear (with reason) that they could lose everything because no one can't predict for sure what will happen in a year or two or even further in the future.

Another thing is that many dont really understand how it works and many also fear internet based investment because of scammers and hackers.

I think people are afraid that Bitcoin might be gone one day and would be worth nothing. Of course some had invested and even sold their cars, house and almost everything they own just for Bitcoin so imagine if one day it will be gone. It is pretty scary but as long as there are a lot of supporters of Bitcoin then I wouldn't worry that much though.

Because bitcoin is a cryptocurrency even though it is accepted by more and more people, it still can be listed as fiat coin. What is more, may countries have announced bitcoin is not fiat currency.  But what make the holders happy is that the price goes higher and higher,  this can added to their value. :D

Even though bitcoin price has raised very high in the past eight years,still some people fear about losing their money as it is not backed by government or any other authorities.They fear that if it crashes suddenly,they would have to lose their hard earned money despite its higher value.Also,they fear that if their governments bans suddenly bitcoin,then it would become useless for them to hold it.Also,many normal people don't understand its functioning and they get totally confused to decide about it.

They fear that the FUD being spread about it is real, and that they would lose the money they would invest in it. They also fear the technology because they can not understand it. Those are really the only logical reasons to fear bitcoin.

First of all, they fear because they don't know much about bitcoin or about how bitcoin works. Second because government didn't approve it yet, they said that bitcoin  is not good for all of us and it is illegal. They also known bitcoin is mostly used in deepweb and blackmarkets.

this the reality answer from you mate, the proof is many times bitcoin faces the problem because of this capabilty as first digital cryptocurrency the question the strongest bitcoin stability, alway people panicking if the bitcoin price are on dump situatoin thats the reason people fear to invest in bitcoin

but i believe for bitcoin and if the people understand the bitcoin have strogest capability any problem faces by bitcoin still in ontop among us in crypto world

The people fear about the bitcoin is due to its unstable prices the price will swing in bitcoin like the price will fall $2000 in a single day and price will rise also.So the people feels always insecure about their investment.

The other people dont know about bitcoin so we need to discuss about bitcoin to other people to help them and to understand what is the bitcoin but they still some people fear about losing their money.

There are great count of reasons:

1. Volatile price — nobody want to risk (except investors)

There are people who look at the bitcoin as a threat or we may say illegal, I know a lot of people think about bitcoin as a scam they said that "How are you able to earn money with just internet?" so they conduct that it was a scam and some of the people like my friends thought that bitcoin can be used only in buying drugs, hire hitmen etc. (Illegal purposes)

Some people who are afraid of Bitcoin are actually those who do not know Bitcoin well. I as one of the people who have understood Bitcoin then feel that Bitcoin has many advantages over others. those who are afraid are those who do not dare to take risks and also do not want a change in his life. when there is so much real evidence that Bitcoin has changed many people's lives for the better. Bitcoin has helped a person's economic situation get better, mindset for people who fear Bitcoin should be changed immediately because it will affect their lives in the future. I think those who are afraid because they do not know bitcoin clearly. they just assume bitcoin is a digital currency that can change value or lose its value at any time. but if they know bitcoin is a profitable investment they will turn to invest in bitcoin. although bitcoin is in digital form, bitcoin has a very nice feral beyond fiat money. maybe you should try investing in bitcoin and look at it in the future .. i am sure you will be a millionaire

Because they think that bitcoin investment is highly risky, they don't know the fact that bitcoin is most stable and profitable digital currency. The fear is just of losing money.

yes really, actually the people in my country are interested in Bitcoin but the government does not legalize Bitcoin so if they are Bitcoin investing then it is considered illegal.

one of the factors that make one afraid of bitcoin is price volatility, can not be controlled by anyone. And I think this is a new technology that is still being developed, there are still many people who do not know the technology, and what benefits can be given by bitcoin on its users. This is natural, but it may be that someday people who previously fear even become bitcoin users as well.

I don't tell other people sometime I fear about bitcoin price. one day ago bitcoin price fall 7.2k-5.7k but today 6.8k price. other many people victim in hacker it's main cause for fear.

I think it is not bitcoin that people fear of, but those people who uses bitcoin in criminality. They don't want to be a victim of those scammers that uses the new technology and the internet that is why it is very hard for them to accept bitcoin. They are afraid to invest in bitcoin because they think it is very risky. So you cannot easily bring them to business but it is still possible. I think they need proof of profits form bitcoin so you should show them your money gained from bitcoin.

They are afraid of something new. Bitcoin is like that. New innovative and secure. This is something that they need first to accept then it will be easier for them to not just use bitcoin but to accept it as something that is not just thing for trade.

What I fear is that BTC might have the unshakable technology now but still even some technology back in the days is thought to be uncrackable but now it's just a piece of cake. Someday might come that the blockchain will be outdated, downgraded and other technology will replace its place. BTC will be useless.

Bitcoin is very risky, because when you put all your money in bitcoins and there's an instances that your btc account was robbed or hacked, we don't have the insurance to recover all our investment.

I think this is due to the fact that bitcoin has not yet been adopted by many states, and in some is still locked up.

Bitcoin still not popular worldwide. People avoid things they don't understand. I think high volatility also makes people afraid to loose money.

The people who dont know about bitcoin and its technology are the only persons who are fearing about Bitcoin other then that who ever after knowing about the advantages of Bitcoin have loved it, and now they are earning nicely in this crypto world.

For me bitcoin is still unstable and volatile.  That's a main concern in any investment.  For instance, for the past two weeks, bitcoin has increased and fluctuated in ways that you cannot imagine.  As an investor, you have to continuously monitor the value unlike other financial investment where you just need to put your investment and wait.

People fear about BITCOIN, because some ICO's are fake and scam, like investing their bitcoin so they can get some profit, but they're not totally scared at all they're just want to be careful so their money will not vanish

Because, bitcoin is still facing questions surrounding its legitimacy and security. As investors and adopters fear a major government taking decisive action against the currency, any signs that government figures are considering regulation can impact its price.

Because the people just believe to something real, they are assume bitcoin is too risky to become Investment and they are prefer to Investment their money to something real like real estate and many more.. eventhough bitcoin have a high price, that's didn't make them interested about bitcoin..

People are afraid of bitcoins, because they do not have enough knowledge about them. They receive all information about crypto-currencies from false media and TV. Therefore, they are bad for crypto-currencies, seeing in this big risks.

People do not fear bitcoin they fear the fact that if they invest in it they will lose everything but i would say start learning a little bit about bitcoin before investing because maybe you can download a scam a wallet and lose everything you have in it.

Its one of the reasons but i would say the main thing why do people is afraid because of its volatile price and they cant able to use it on offline shops just like what we are doing on our local fiats.There are lots actually which as you said security and legitimacy is still on question. Here in Philippines many of us are knew about bitcoin because of its popularity. BUT does not mean that all of us too are agree about the essential of bitcoin. Some people are wandering about the power of bitcoin and the money that we get from it. They that it was a scam that trying to get all our personal information after we sign up on any kind of sites so that they could have fear on bitcoin..

They already think it will need a lot of money or it will be 50-50 percent chance that you will profit or not.
In short, they think they could lose all their money or win at a higher amount.
If that could be changed then it will be easy to invite people to use bitcoin.

But more than that, people are unable to understand the working of Bitcoin and a greater reason among all is the unclear intentions of government against Bitcoin sue to which people still don't consider it as an investment commodity. Also, there are many anti myths against Bitcoin in the market which also degrades it value further. Only with proper knowledge of Bitcoin such fear can be removed.

For this is a term that no one knows before and the governments do not like it so they would not support it.

I can say that what mostly people fear about bitcoin is that the fact that it will get lost or maybe end or the service will die. Theses past few days, bitcoin has been inconsistent about it's price. It moves suddenly then stops. And because as of now many people are happy with bitcoin's service. It also helps a lot to get an earning for living. 

The fear people are having in bitcoin is in its price. The up and down fluctuation in its price is a huge trouble, that if you are not into crypto for long, to understand how it's things are done you won't stay long in it, so as to avoid heavy losses.

I think that they fear about bitcoin because there are so many gambling site and there are so many people that get scammed by other people so I think that they also think that this bitcoin is a gambling. Even if they know all the information they will not get convince because they think their own safety and that is only my opinion please correct me if I'm wrong.

because bitcoin is not visible. most people are still accustomed to trusting the looks. besides, not everyone can accept a decentralized decentralized system. so many consider it a scam.

You're right. That is exactly what people's mindsets commonly are when it comes to investments. And the reaction of everyone varies despite havong the same mindsets. Simply because some loves the thrill of gambling even when they say that investing in bitcoin is different from gambling, there's no denying that it is still a gamble. While some hate the thought of uncertainty. But all in all, these mindsets change slowly with knowledge.

Despite Bitcoin just complete amazing year 2017! Start from January 1000$ and will finish close to 10K! a lot of people still don't trust digital cryprocurrency, it may be because there was bad press all over internet most come from JP Morgan and other Banks about Bitcoin.
Price fluctuation is another reason new investors are afraid to lose their money. BTC was always very fragile and easy to manipulate price with FUD or bad news - look on China.

I try hard to open my mind further, now bitcoin is full of controversy but the world is not able to hold it, there is a vision where bitcoin finally forced to be recognized by the world government and currently they are drafting laws that do not have macro gap, ROI in bitcoin is very fast and makes me sure to get more than I anticipated before. Many people are initially afraid to finally start thinking positively.

Bitcoin has lots of advantagea but as an investment it has also a downside. Its market value is volatile so investing into it has a risk. They fear that if they will invets to Bitcoin there's a risk for them to lose money when its markwt value fall or drop. That is the only risk that I know that will people fear about Bitcoin. I agree apart from being afraid of investing popele still unsure about bitcoin, because bitcoin is a new type of investment that has not been not created by goverments or banks and it is not controlled by anyone which makes its market unpredictibale and unstable, a lot of investors and normal poeple still think of it as a big risk to put thier money into it, but all this fear will cause them to lose a great oppurtunity to make a good profit while it is still new and poeple wanting to support it, because bitcoin is not just a type of investment to make profit, it is an idea that revolutionizes the way we use money.

Some people fear in bitcoin because it has no physical money to hold and they do not believed in digital curency.

We have read many posts already and what most people says is that it is TOO VOLATILE, which is true . This said virtual currency has too much fluctuations on its price . But for me I don't just think of its risk but also thinks of what it can do to the future plus how can it help make life easier, and it will SOON.

Something that's new makes people afraid of it. Not because of its characteristics but because people might get lost in that new technology or they are used to the traditional methods. Another reason might be due to the lack of knowledge about Bitcoin. Who would trust a technology that they do not understand, right? Or they might know Bitcoin as an "easy way to be rich" kind of thing and when they lose some money, they get off board quickly.

I think that they are fearing that they will be hacked, because being hacked and your coins being stolen is not a great thing. You will lose your money and the hackers will keep on stealing.

Some people also fear that bitcoin would lose all of his value.

We will not blame other people if their afraid to invest in bitcoin these day because:
1. They're not educated about bitcoin and what are the benefits of investing on it and how they handle their coin and what are the strategies to make it grow.
2. Many spreading or FUD news that bitcoin are turning to scam or other people using the name of bitcoin to fool people to earn a huge profit so bitcoin reputation is going to destroy because of these people and many powerful people killing it's reputation like spreading fud news in media because bitcoin has no tax on the government and many government workers will switch in bitcoin if bitcoin become so much popular in the community.
3. Other investors think that they're so late to invest in bitcoin because the value of it are so high unlike the past few months or year.

Some people fear about bitcoin as they see bitcoin being a digital currency working in internet.They have already seen lots of internet scams already and so they feel that some day bitcoin would also turn to be a scam.Adding fuel to the fire,no one knows actually who satoshi is who created bitcoin and whether he is alive or not.It seems suspicious.Also they see its price being very highly volatile increasing even thousand dollars in one day and falling down thousand dollars in another day.

i think because bitcoin recognized about bad things like criminals, money laundering, gambling etc
so people who not know about bitcoin will be afraid to start and use bitcoin

They fear that bitcoin will die one day and they will lose everything because one bitcoin is not cheap and someone who works a lot and does not earn that much and invests everything he has saved into bitcoin it will keep him scared that he can lose it all.

There are lots of things why people are feared on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized so it is not under any government and it also means that no one will take full responsibility if ever there's something wrong happen. Also its value is volatile so there are times that its market value will fall which is a risk as an investment since tgere's a tendency for an individual to lose money. But these things are just temporary i guess and maybe in the future these things will be solved and will make Bitcoin a better crypto.

This fluctuations affects only short-term investors, and daily traders, but they earn from this fluctuations. On long-term bitcoins have much better results and who invested and hold bitcoins for more then year is in very good profit.
Lack of understanding is the main problem, people don't understand bitcoin, people don't understand fiat. They don't know nothing about and demand, who make the rules. Many times I felt desperate in trying to explain people around me what is what without success. We can't do nothing about that, I think they will be convinced one day when their boss tell them that they will be paid in crypto and they will be forced to learn more.

Unfortunately people just don't have enough information about bitcoin. There is also a lot of false information on the street, which makes them prejudiced. For me it's a bit weird but there are even those who see it as a fraud.

Hearing it for the first time surely won't let the user accept it. Only when they start realizing it to be more worthy is upon the difference they find in the price between the day of buying and the day of selling getting the user a profit.

For me No, I do not have any reason iffy about Bitcoin I started my journey from Bitcoin at 2011 and I have never invested any money in this from my pocket so I don't care whatever is the profit and I am best student always wanted to learn about programming so I don't think I actually need a lot of money the most important thing is using this site on regular basis so I can train my communication skills and will my writing skills from my career. The most important point which makes people fear Bitcoin is the fact that they do not know much about Bitcoin or it might be possible that you have just had a false rumours about Bitcoin.

There are many kinds of people. And they fear bitcoin in different ways.

People in the government: they fear BTC because they can't control it.

People in banking industry: they fear BTC because of the technology behind it.

Common people: they fear BTC because if they put their money on it on the wrong timing they might lose a significant amount.

They fear that they don't have any insurance on bitcoin if something bad happen to it.  Who they'll go after if something bad happen.

The answer is simple. It's because they don't have enough knowledge about the Bitcoin they are lack of knowledge about the system, the used and the opportunity it can bring to a certain person or community.

I'm a proof of that. I'm a student and i choose the forum as my part time job because you can work at home and study at the same time, the only thing you need is have a time management and when i started to earn profit and exchange it to our local money (FIAT) i started spreading the words to my friends and families and most of them are really doubting about it. They thought that the internet is for searching only or what and said that it may be illegal since you can't earn through internet and some of them thought the bitcoin is used only in black market or in the deep web and once you have bitcoin your doing illegal.

So i can't do anything about it, even tho i want to share my knowledge about it they choose just to stay away from it.

They fear about to invest in bitcoin because they have no knowledge about cryptocurrency,how it works,how it became profitable or if this is a scam.And there are some people that are not open minded in terms of new technology and seeing digital currency  is our next currency in the next generation.They are afraid to be lossed their money also.

People fear bitcoin for various reasons. Some thing the money might come useless in future, others have no good idea about it, some are scared of government putting a ban on it, it all depends on who.

As I have heard from news, bitcoin is decentralized means that there are no government or such things supporting bitcoin or some regulations for safetyness. In addition, people who are afraid on something it might be that something is that they do not know about probably they do not have any background or a brief ideas, to make it clearer people who are afraid to bitcoin simply knows bitcoin as a virtual currency and they do not know what bitcoin can do or how bitcoin works.

From what i know, and i have experienced, many people fear bitcoin because they think this 'coin' is not trustworthy.
even many of them think this is illegal, something criminal and something you can only find in deep web. lol.
They also think this is just a kind of joke, fake, because it's intangible, we can't really know everything about it.

Most probably they are fear to bitcoin because of it's system. Maybe it will appear in their mind that, if they invest in bitcoin their is no assurance of returning back because of being digital and it only runs through internet. And also because the conflict of interest between by the community and the government, in which it could triggered to the government by pushing their people to stay away from crypto.

Bitcoin is unsafe if will be used through those deals that you had mentioned and there's no doubt before that bitcoin made it's noise out there and now it is starting to be used properly and being treated just a simply investment. I think most people fear about bitcoin is that if one day they put all their savings or let's say they've saved up a lot of money worth in bitcoin and since bitcoin keeps on increasing they are thinking of withdrawing it if they need it or something like that, then one day all of a sudden bitcoins goes *poof* or drops down so hard that it becomes worthless.

Well for me maybe because for the past hearsays thay they have encounter they build their own perspective that they may scammed something like that if they try bitcoin. People were afraid for something that actually because of his own belief.

Not all people are understand or familiar with technologies, especially old people and people in developing countries. Probably its will be difficult for some of them to understand about what bitcoin is and even how the market work. Many people fear about bitcoin for some reason, I think they are lack of knowledge about what bitcoin do to our society they never know the all good possible way to make people success using bitcoin, I think they fear it to lose their money when it comes to online investment, and yes online investment is risky and big potential to lose you money if you really don't know how to choose the right investment project or investment company that's why many people against of it.

No one really knows, and bitcoin is unpredictable maybe this is the reason why people are scared to invest, but for me you really have to take risk for you to make good money. Bitcoin proves itself that he is worth buying for, and I believe on this.

I don't think that people fear bitcoin itself, what they really fear is trying and ending up failing. I think scamming is the major fear of people about bitcoin. because in the social media world there's a lot of cases where in they we're scammed and do not believe anymore what people talks about bitcoin but if you have a prior knowledge about technologies and online things you know if it is the thing you entered was legit or not for example bitcoin if you know it you will not see as scam.

That can be good reason for fear. From one perspective is someone invested 100K in USD at this moment and in next day bitcoin collapse that is big loss.

Some of us fear btc because the price has gone very high, i mean some people did say it could one day be worth 1000s but not alot of early miners actually believed this, they sold at $1, 2, 5, 9, back to 2 $. Very few held on  for the whole ride from mining to 1000s.

I personally fear Bitcoin because right now the price is too high, and many people, including myself are late to to game, I'd rather buy 1000 coins that cost 1$ than 0.05 BTC. Those coins will eventually be worth $100 and I will make more profit. BTC reached it's peak.

Having fear of something you know fully understand it's in the human nature, myself as an example, i'm ignorant in electricity so every time i have to do any small electric work at home, i shut down everything and still have fear to get electrocuted.
It's stupid? it can sound stupid but if you try to walk in their/my shoes you will see this point; then, there is the lazy part of the human nature that stop people to get into this world "oh BTC are 1 millions zimbabwee dollars! that's too much, i'm already late, i don't have time, it's worthless to join now".

Some people wanted bitcoin because of its decentralization. By this fact we can see that people are truly have different views. They fear about bitcoin because the government always warned them that it is so risky, and in fact it is true that bitcoin is really risky it is just that bitcoin gives an opportunity and has a stable system so I think that it cannot hacked by someone. they fear about bitcoin because they dont know about it they dont know and didnt trust it because they think its a scam its a digital currency they dont have enough knowledge about btc but its depend to people if they fear about bitcoin or not

I think they fear about because they not have enough knowledge about this cryptocurrency and many people have a mentality that if it is a online job or cryptocurrency it is a scam so they have a fear to try it but if you want to earn,just take a risk.The other one is the users is anonymous so we did not know each other and we did not know also  the illegal users .Do not be fear in bitcoin but instead take a risk to earn using it.

I think people are afraid of bitcoin because they do not know or do not know what bitcoin is, jike they know the benefits and usefulness of bitcoin maybe they will change their mind and will love bitcoin

people fear bitcoin because, bitcoin offers big profits and big things and that big things sometimes fear a lot of people because they fear big changes and that results to a lot of people trying to ban bitcoin.

i think most people are afraid because they have no assurance that it really earns . They actually afraid of the risk in investing to bitcoin not necessarily they are afraid to bitcoin itself. We also experience the same thing when we started but life is always taking a risk, some did take the risk and earning and some regret it they they did not invest in bitcoin a bit sooner. it is business sometimes you have a profit and sometimes you end up bankrupt especially in bitcoin that it's value is not yet stable it may go higher or lower .

Because it is something new, most of the people are not really open for new things and thats why they generally refuse modern things.
Also you cannot touch it like Gold or something like that.

First of all in my opinion it is because it's in the internet, as we all know there is a lot of scam going on the internet and many people are afraid to put their money especially in this world. People are afraid of bitcoin because they don't completely understand what bitcoin is and it's very common to people to fear what is unknown to them.

I'm not sure if people actually fear bitcoin. Yes, usually people are automatically against it every time i'ts brought up in a conversation, but there are several reasons for that IMO:
It's too hyped. When I talk with people about bitcoin I usually hear extreme opinions. It's either "This is the future. Invest now and you'll make 10x in a year" or "This is just a ponzi, I'm never going to spend my money on this shit". Too many people represent bitcoin as a flawless concept with promised profits and no risks. People who hear those stuff usually get suspicious and think it's just some sort of scam. When you explain people the idea and the technology behind it, and tell them that it's just like the stock market, nobody can guarantee that the price won't go down by 50% someday, they usually become more open to it.
The other main problem that keeps many people from investing in bitcoin is it's super high volatility. A lot of people just want solid profits, without high risks. Of course the fact that it's a digital coin, without any large brand behind it makes it harder for people to trust it, but I think this is becoming less of an issue now with all the hype that's going on around bitcoin.

Because for common people bitcoin quite strange and different from every type of investment. To catch it's idea is little bit difficult to grasp for the common people. Another problem is it can't be controlled by any things it fully depends on the economic conditions. So it's volatile nature brings a risk content in to it.

Absence of trust in bitcoin of other people shows their reason that they fear that they are only wasting efforts and money because they will be scammed at the end. Taking risks is included in all types of investments and we can't remove that fact. They need to read more about bitcoin or someone who will explain bitcoin to them clearly.

my reason is my government not accept my bitcoin and hard to find someone buy my BTC

It is just becouse the don't fully understand it. I'm sure that if person knows enough about Bitcoin, he or she will not be afraid of it. They will be impressed and probably will love it. Another question is that it is difficult to understand for common citizen.

I think beacuse they lack knowledge about bitcoin that is why a lot are in doubt without trying to themselves. and also it is because it's in the internet, as we all know there is a lot of scam going on the internet. Aside from that many peope fear about bitcoin because the government always warned them that it is so risky, but I think it will only be risky if you are uncareful to handle this.

Many people are afraid of about bitcoin there are lot of reasons that why they are afraid of from bitcoin. firstly they have no knowledge about bitcoin even then don’t know that how bitcoin market changes its trends and some people think about bitcoin is that it has been reached on its peak level. But I am not agree with this because it’s still people think about it that bitcoin will increase and you will see very soon its prices will be gone high.

People have some fears about bitcoins because of price volatility, bitcoin is not a backed up currency, many illegal uses,..

People don't used to trust in new things or in things that they don't know. Moreover when people discover a new technology most of time it's thanks to the medias and we all know how the media can be idiots about the informations they gave to people. I speak about this but are you sure that "people fear about bitcoin" ? I am not sure :P About people who understand the technology they can be afraid of the vollatility, afraid to lost what they have so they prefer to not invest.

Pretty much this.  Most people don't have a good understanding of technology and only take away a few bits and pieces and unfortunately the media sound bites tend to stick.  'Exchange hacked!' 'Bitcoin + Darkweb!' couple that with the volatility compared to the investments they are used to and the numbers they are doing in their head equate bitcoin to dark sorcery. 

Over time we will see more people becoming educated and understanding the actual strengths and weakness of the various crypto currencies.

Its not the people who fears it in the first place. Its the bank and the governments. They fear how Bitcoin may be used by the majority due to its unique features that the banks do not possess. The government as well will take actions to prevent it from happening for they cannot take over the control over the supply and transactions with Bitcoin. With that, they used the social media to spread misleading information, focusing only the risks of hacks, scams and fraudulent activities. They didnt even report the good opportunity that Bitcoin can give to every individual. People who only rely on news and other form of media are the ones who are afraid. If they could only make a few research they wont be blinded by the media.
Thats what happened here in my place.

People fears to invest in bitcoin because they think it is scammed.And another reason they are afraid to invest in bitcoin is because they are not yet well known it and they have never known how bitcoin can help them once they try to join.And maybe because many still do not know bitcoin.And because it is occurs in the internet.

Governments may fear Bitcoin because its value is determined by users and not central ... To an increasing number of people, that promise means nothing.

Yes there are some who are not believer or i must say they are afraid to invest on bitcoin because they don't want to risk their money knowing that bitcoin price is not stable. Others also fear that its a scam unless you give them prof that its really legit and they can make money from it.

Why are people scared about BITCOIN? so other people are afraid of bitcoin because they have not tried it yet and those they hear in the news are bitcoin scams so other people who want to enter bitcoin are no longer in the mood for fear of being scam.

There are so many stories around the bitcoin that make people worry. Does shatosi appear? if he is bad. Bitcoins can be hacked, and the bitcoin technology is outdated.

because of future bubble, all signs it will bubble, its just a storage of value without usage aside of price speculation and this generation is in deep of FOMO.
