Hello,

I am planing on switching to windows to see how things are.
I need advice from someone who is running more than 8 of the same GPU's (12x 1080Ti's etc).

Is it possible? Is it stable? Is there alot of work to get it running?

Doesnt have to be 12x nvidia, could be 10x AMD or anything above 8.

Anyone :D?

Tried last night with 12 AMD Cards.
New AMD Drivers + New Windows update 1709, works fine.

No idea about nvidia though

Very well, the motherboard is announced as a 6x Nvidia + 6x AMD board.
Should work well with nvidias too then I guess. I will try later tonight :)

With the latest windows update you can run more then 8 GPU on windows 10
So just a couple of trick to set up all and you can lug and play - google 8 gpu on z270

Windows is spyware/malware U can't even 'reset' a windows box without pulling the AC or having double pole-relays running on a switch.

Can't say if its true for everyone but on my TB250 BTC PRO my windows boot time takes so long. I've already tried reinstalling windows and still the same problem.
I've learned to live with it and wait at least 5mins for my miner to boot to windows desktop. When it finally turns on tho, no problem. Running 6 AMD and 6 NVIDIA cards just fine.

Tried today, installed patch 1709, no luck.

I have enabled the 6+ gpu option on my mobo, 4g enc. Aswell, but no luck...

It runs fine with 8x plugged in but wont recognize more than 6.
Do I have to use an ssd/usb to boot windows with?
Cureently using a hdd, maybe thats the issue?

Wich mtb do you recomend tb250 or h110? I have amd gpu

I cant get the TB250 to work on windows, but the chipset is better than h110.
It would depend if u plan on running windows or linux.

Can anyone help? I think it's worth to try to use ethOS before going straight to Windows... but ethOS is also giving me problems.

my friend told me that with new windows update amd 12 gpu works on this mobo but amd new update (about dag problem) doesnt work with it so for example if u wanna get 25 mhs, use this mobo with 12 gpu and new windows update, if u wanna get 29/30 mhs don't use new windows update, maybe u prefer 8 amd and 4 gtx etc. next days amd solves this problem too, but noone can be sure when. if my friend is wrong, please warn me too.

I tried many time with window 10 ver. 1709 and lastest driver but all attempts failed with only recognize maximum 8 GPUs.

My most stable rig is on this board, but running ethOS. 40 days and counting!

Hi s3c70r, your 12 GPUs are all 1060 or mixing between 1060 & P106?

Thank s3c70r, with just 1060 3G that average ~285 sol/s is very impressive. So could you share me which is your card branch and your setting on power limit, core, mem? My 1060 6G hashes about the same.

These 1060 3GB can do 300 easily, it is just too noisy for my taste so power limit is pretty reduced.

1060 6GB should puts you around 310-320. Make sure you overclock the core and memory, start with power limit 100% and lower it to see what happens.

I'm going to purchase more GTX1060 3Gb, I want to try again building 12x1060 in window 10 ver.1709, all of my attempts before failed and window just recognized only 8GPUs.

Here too, every time the rig turns on for the first time it hangs and restarts + - two times, after that it stays stable for weeks, if I turn off the rig or restart
the problem comes back.

I already changed batteries, reset bios, nothing works.

s3c70r - this is on the B250 Mining Expert mobo, correct? Did you touch any BIOS settings or anything ?

Why would you use Windows? It is total shit for mining.

Stick with linux and save yourself hours and hours of wasted time and headaches.

how much memory RAM at 11 cart ?

Hey s3c70r just noticed your p106 rig. Good job on getting it to run stable. What drivers are you running? Are you not able to use afterburner?

You know it really hurts my eyes to see that you are running all those GPUs at 2.5 or less efficiency. Please do overclock and undervolt your cards. My p106s do 3.7~3.8 efficiency stable and running for 4 months now. If you can't detect them on afterburner just use the custom drivers specifically designed for p106. I just googled and found it online.
