Title: Is there a solo miner that auto-switches the algo/coin you mine?
Post by: nmersulypnem on November 15, 2017, 11:43:10 PM
Ideally I'd like a miner that monitors changes in difficultly and switches the coin it's mining, but allowing me to favor certain coins over others.   ...and obviously if possible, dual mines whatever it can.

And you want to mine solo correct?

Correct.

Well, I'd be curious to know about a pool that does this as well.

You can try NiceHash or WinMiner

Winminer - a reward directly in USD, which may be a mistake. The high percentage of fees and the exchange rate on the BTC have their own rate, where they will unduly deduct additional fees. As a result, despite the first appearance, less favorable than Nicehash. It also happens that it takes nonsense after a few hours to draw something that makes no sense with a 1/3 profit.

Nicehash - the best of all bad solutions. Reward in BTC. It's nonsense to use their new program, use Legacy on NVIDIA and AMD, it's uglier but better :)

I also like nicehash but they are constantly having problems with the new software. I always try to use an earlier version. They are too slow to post updates and so post not fully tested software. But in any case it is much more convenient than constantly monitor the profitability of mining coins. It seems to me that it makes no sense to reinvent the wheel and it is better to use ready-made solutions.

NiceHash no longer supports AMD, so that kills all my Vega rigs
