Lots of players in the BTC world still don't know very much about alternate cryptocurrencies. When Gox starts trading LTC, thousands, maybe millions, of people will see LTC as a legitimate "little brother" to BTC, and demand for LTC will go up. I hope my theory is correct; I'm positioning myself to take advantage of what I see is a coming jump in LTC. I think we all are positioning ourselves but at moments where I feel like gox is the only next big move for LTC things can look a little hopeless as hundreds of other new coins start to arise.
