Bitcoin towards to $8000, whether the exact reasons why bitcoin prices rise so fast?
What to do now, sell or keep hodling?

There seems to be a lot of resistance at $8000, only time will tell if we bounce off it or break through. I will continue to hodl because I do not need money in the short term, but your situation may be different.

As of now the price of bitcoin is really near to 8000 dollars and i hope anytime will reach that . This the another history of bitcoin price . For sure after the price of 8000 dollars the next target is 9k dollars this month and maybe we see the price lf 10k dollars before end of this year 2017. So it's better to buy bitcoin now because the price continuw to increase .

Exact reason? supply and demand maybe? influx of new money? who cares?

Sell or hold? depends on what your goal is, if you invested for the short-term then once we hit 8k you should sell your coins, perhaps invest in some altcoins? but if you're looking to gain profit for the long-term then the obvious choice is to hold your coins. Who knows, maybe we hit 9k in the next couple of week.

9k in the next few weeks? Nice, I'll hodl it now. I question about that because usually I always sell when bitcoin prices reach new value. Well, right now I'm going to hodl it longer, because it looks like 10k will happen at the end of the year. Cheers!!

i think no one will know the exact reason why bitcoin prices rise so fast today and we only can follow the price wherever it is up or down. but now the price it seems need to make correction because i see the $8000 wall is not break but we still have many times to break the wall so be patience and enjoy the ride. i think we can still hold our bitcoin if we want to sell at more than $8000 meanwhile the altcoin is in the red zone and i think its the time to buy another amount for altcoin.

It has already reached that price mate, it touched it a few minutes ago if i am not wrong, i just saw it on this forum because i was not looking at the charts by that time.
but we are going to see it soon, there is no hurry about that because we all know that sooner or later the price will be at $8000 again, so there is nothing to be worried about.
but how much is going to be the next all time high? maybe $8500? $9000? it is so unpredictable, i dont even know what to expect from this crazy market.

Most of us doesnt even care what are the reason why the price of bitcoin suddenly skyrocket, all that we care is that its price is continuing to go up.
I suggest that you keep holding your bitcoin and who knows it might reach $10k by the end of the year.

We are almost there. As for the reason, it all comes down to supply and demand. After last threat to bitcoin is over now, people who were scared before buy bitcoin again now. I am pretty confident we are going to reach 10k before the end of the year as it is quite clear bitcoin is nowadays the number 1 asset which gives you security and returns. You can invest in alts for higher and faster profit, but you won’t have the same degree of security as with bitcoin. And bitcoin is already giving very high returns. Returns even higher than that mean more volatility and insecurity.


It hasn't done so in coinmarket cap (yet). Maybe in some particular exchange it has.

I thought about the more people are betting into the bitcoin as the real estate market interested by use the bitcoin.

There could be lots of reasons, but one powerful reason is that the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is about to open futures trading of bitcoin in their markets. What that means is that the brokerage firms that plan to offer the futures need to buy and hold reserves of bitcoin to cover the trades they're going to make with and for their clients.

So we have a few firms with a lot of money buying into the market, this is a big deal!

Above expectations it will reach $8,000 for sure before this month will end and you must keep on hoarding too because the probability to reach $10,000 to $15,000 is very possible now, who knows when everything is possible it could reach the five digits before this year end. Luckily for those buy it low and sell it high by next year.

8000$ is not hard to reach anymore and we are actually almost there. It touched it once already, it won't be hard for bitcoin to continue the trend and go past 8000$. I am amazed how the price of bitcoin gets getting higher and higher amidst all the problems it is facing. But that has always been the case with bitcoin, it keeps rising even against all the detractors and problems.

Maybe it became more in demand. if i were you, i will still hold it for more years sincw I am expecting for more developments to bitcoin in all aspects including its market value which will be more profitable in the future. But if you are already satisfied with its value , you may convert it already since that's your money in the first place. I would wait for a little bit of backdrops and will again invest to Bitcoin to be held for more years.

Yeah, the price of bitcoin is nearly $8000 and this time it is expected to reach 10k soon by the end of 2017.
There are mainly two reasons why bitcoin surge continually, the first is that the mining volume is getting lower every day by increase in block difficulty, so rewards apoortionment also gets low.
Secondly,  there are several industries showing their interest in blockchain decentralized technology.

Now the price of bitcoin is around 7880$.Now the value of bitcoin is nearly 7900$ and close to 8k$ .This is one I had expected. But for 10000$ and all it takes much time. At this year end you can see 9000$ maximum.

There are a few factors which may have contributed:

- There is news that Segwit2x will push through, even with minimal support. People may be buying for airdrops.
- CME is about to start trading Bitcoin futures, which legitimizes Bitcoin, and can attract more investors.
- BCH attack has failed and the number of unconfirmed transactions are slowly but surely normalizing.

There may be other certain developments around the community that I'm not aware of though, so feel free to add if you feel that I missed something.

If not for the Bitcoin Cash attempt, bitcoin should be over by $8000 by now. The main reason is investors who rode the Bitcoin Cash hype in the last week has suddenly dump and going back to bitcoin ecosystem. They know that the real money is with the real bitcoin so they are mad rushing and don't want to get trapped in the Bitcoin Cash hype. And there's still the CME news around, which still has a great impact Sell? I don't think so. Not even if the price goes down again. Bitcoin is for long term holding. So just continue to hold and see where the price goes at the end of the year.

as expected from Bitcoin to be honest,
it's very easy to predict this move,because they're giving us a 'sign' from Bitcoin Cash.
i do not really understand why people said Bitcoin Cash will be become the next Bitcoin,
while it's only get pumped so hard by people.
and based on our recent move we should see $8000 in no time or we could see it today.
afterward it will move toward $10.000 until the end of this year,
but of course we should see a small correction in the future before take off.
hold it tightly or you will lose it badly,

the bitcoin price was not exactly rising fast, it was coming back to where it was supposed to be and that come back was fast. the issue is that they keep repeating "bitcoin is a bubble" that you start to believe it, but when you check the reality you can see there has never been such a thing as a bubble in bitcoin.

that means the drop was an artificial lower price and against the demand, and when you go against the market you can not keep it that way. it will "jump" back up fast.

At this time of course more and more people who are interested and close to bitcoin because it's already a lot of people who had thinking bitcoin more profitable than paper money that can be earned easily. Not only that, of course at nowadays more people / certain parties also have supported the developments of bitcoin. All of these things can be greatly affect to bitcoin price going up nicely I guess.
I think it's better to holding, because the price will still be able to moving even higher again I guess. There's a chance it will reach up to $9k.

That was a quick dump, from $7,900 and now bitcoin is back at $7,696 so the profit takers showed themselves and they don't want to miss any single profit with this pump.

They are now pumping again bitcoin cash, so the civil war has been activated against bitcoin and bitcoin cash.

I keep on holding and I don't mind even if the price of bitcoin gets lower again, the long term holders will be profiting at the very end of this civil war.

In my humble doing, I always sell a portion of it in every thousands that bitcoin new highest price as mostly every time it goes down after. We can’t really point out of what makes this increases on one factor only because it is a collection of many  good things happening around the bitcoin investors, users and the community. It’s like more investors, more demand and more profit before the higher the price in the soonest.

You should keep holding now until bitcoin reaches 8000$ for real. Sell it only a portion after 8000$ price has been achieved and hodl the rest. That way you would not have to fell regretful when price goes down and you also won't regret selling early when it goes up more. Anyhow, it would be wiser to diversify your money on many different cryptocurrencies for more profit here in crypto world. Bitcoin is not the only crypto with potential so learn how to pick good coins with potential before doing this.

I agree there was so much coin out there that has a potential however bitcoin is the only currency so far that you could invest for long term ! there was no doubt that bitcoin will hit $8000 maybe this month or next so keep holding your coins.

I don't know it's real or not but everytime i buy Bitcoin , the price immediately is down . And for now i'm selling all my Bitcoin and the price is raising insane. So i think the price is raising because of me someways.

I would suggest you HODL. This bullish run seems genuine, and it looks like the price will push higher. We are barely above our previous all time high. Maybe you could sell at around $8500-9000 and buy once it drops again.

It seems we are going to pass 8000 resistance very fast. I am looking for 15.000 level.

Bitcoin has already breached the 8000 USD mark this month, however due to the postponement of the fork, the thread went down, in which , it is a good thing, since it is a healthy pull back, and bitcoin's value went up during that time, before the date in which the fork should happen. By this time, there is no hype and there has already been a correction in the market, and what we are seeing now is the real valuation of Bitcoin, the road  to 8000 USD is close, and hopefully by the end of the month we see a new resistance for Bitcoin.

I think by april 2018 BTC will be 10k$ 8)

i think you should hold on is already $8000 and here is the current price now $7791.98 so just watch out the similarity, because you can't predict how the system is going but for me if you are in need of cash you can sell to get your self back or you sell a little and reserve the rest to see the growth. 

All depends on you because no one know when you bought your Bitcoin as to whether you have made profit from your investment or not. As for me, I will still remain steadfast and continue to hold my precious Bitcoin in my wallet for I believe Bitcoin value will reach $10,000 in no time from now.

Main reason is still because that bitcoin buyers are still confident that price will rise in due time. Lots of people shorting BTC but at the same time a lot of new investors or old investors taking on new positions = short squeeze.

Also not to mention BCH did crash, so that's doing wonders for bitcoin price at the moment.

$8000 is just a figure that will be broken sooner or later. I don't even think that $10k will be a particularly troublesome thing to break for BTC considering how fast it is rising by day to day.

I think it's because more and more people know about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, also many people prefer to invest their money to bitcoin. if i prefer to hold bitcoin than to sell it now, i collect bitcoin since the price below $ 1000, and now bitcoin prices will probably be higher than the current price... i think it will grow up more than $10k

Keep holding. My suggestion is to even buy if you see the chance to if bitcoin drops to under $7000 at any stage this month for whatever reason. I personally think that this is going to be highly unlikely to happen, though.

But if you do have BTC, keep holding it until AT LEAST $8500 before you take your profits.

And when you do take your profits i would suggest buying at a lower level once the price retraces, and continue to hold.

Demand is high now after the bitcoin cash pump, people who took profit on bitcoin cash hype got their profits now to bitcoin.


Big percentage of your total holds, keep on hodling and if you want to take profit sell.

8000$ is just an number. Bitcoin reach that value thrice ,now the price may around 7791$ .It crossed already,If you had followed the price in any of website or application such as coin base ,you come to now that.Now due to the fluctuation the price was reduced  to this value.

Tomorrow bitcoin crossed $ 8000, what's next? I don't understand what can it give? Everybody sell your coins? I don't believe it. All will continue to hold their coins and wait for price to exceed $ 9,000. This will continue indefinitely. So for me, no matter the price. I like any price which is above $ 1,000.

it is better to keep holding till price up to 10,000 and then start selling because in 2018 price will down a lot
