Trump has shed United State's role as the leader of the world. A Lot of countries look up to the United States previously to take the lead on world affairs like climate change and human rights. Trump's America first policy and his immigration stance seem unpopular to some persons. His withdrawal of the United States from the 2015 Paris agreement on climate change complicates the whole thing. Who will now fill the void between China, Russia, Germany or Canada?

We are not all religious just like you, and I think the OP is saying in more on the government side or a country. But still, there are a lot of leaders being friendly with one another so in my guess, if I will be picking one, I will go with United States.

It is more like 0.25% rich people. There are around 16 million people, who are worth more than $1 million. These people control the majority of the world wealth and they are the ones who exploit the natural resources. The leader of the world for me is us. Because we are the one can control ourselves on what to do. We give policy and rules that we can follow for us to have discipline. Leader's are starting for each of everyone. We must follow and obey the rules so that we can have a peaceful and centralized world.

What an odd question.  Keeping religion out of my answer, Id have to say there is no country right now leading the way in technology or innovation.  GDP of any country fluctuates from one decade to the next, so hard to tell by finance.  Happiness of people may be the tell all answer for me, so I would say the Scandinavians.

I'd disagree. A combination of Russia and China is very powerful. But even such a combination fails to counter the massive amount of influence which the Americans are having in every nook and corner of the world. The American military bases cover all the important regions. Russia and China doesn't have that much coverage.
