I guess this should be moved to service section, and this program is a good help especially to those people who wants to be updated in any cryptocurrency price, in short to those traders or investors of any coins that has potential

The alarm feature was nice, I did not use the Market Cap feature but there is no price indicator. I do not think the most important feature.

wow its amazing we dont need to open our browser if we want to check price of a coun, i think i will add this bot into my telegram account, because eveery time i want to check price and volume of a coin i need to start my computer to see via browser hahaha

I think it would be better if you explain here well if how does the bot work. If the user will be notified about any changes with the corresponding price of the coin/token or just indeed a notification. Also, how frequently it will be and if the user could customize whenever he want to be notified. Just in case they don't want to try without an idea. Provide sample screenshots too, if you can.

Seems good enough, I like some of these telegram bots they are always simple and don't disturb much. Would like to see more cryptos supported in future.

This actually sounds like a very useful and less annoying alternative to push notifications or having to install additional applications on your phone in order to keep track of the value of your investments. Does it work in group chats as well? I could see many of the trading groups working off of Telegram using this bot as a means to coordinate and compare trading strategies live on the chat and being able to share/forward the bot messages and log the prices. I have attempted to do something similar with Preev but was limited by what information their site would provide. I assume this uses the CMC API directly rather than fetching the data from the HTML site, correct? As a heads up, make sure you implement caching, since if the bot becomes popular it could hit the API rate limits and cause the bot to go down or stop updating. I am looking forward to the development of the bot and would not mind to contribute to it if you ever need a helping hand or want to extend its functionality.

Our bot supports all cryptos from coinmarketcap (1320 for now). In menu you see top10 coins/tokens. If you want to choose other one, you should  type in the name or symbol of cryptocurrency to the bot chat

I am developer if this bot. Yes, it uses CMC API directly. Caching is already implemented, we are ready for high load

I like the bot. there's a lot of room for improvements, like adding % change alert, if below/above certain amount, SMS alert maybe.

Only few coins are present in the bot. When will more currencies be added? I find it quite easy to use but wish that altcoins are added soon.

Thanks. I did that for my 2 altcoins but I would like to set an alert for a coin that increases by the set value rather than both up/down. If that feature would be added, it would be great!

Its great like this, I joined and I don't have any complaints for now. That feature that you wish can be nice but its not necessary, I would like to know when prices of selected coins go down or up, and to know what is happening. And for example you set some value and alt that you choose is going down and down, how will you notice that. Maybe stupid example but that can happen, like this is good. Nice telegram bot and I believe this will be useful for me more then other telegram groups where I'm a member.

I have been using this work for a while now and it works pretty well. I would like to suggest that the feature be added to be able to set price alerts at the exact prices that you want. For example, an alert for when Bitcoin passes $10,000 rather than just a relative alert based on the initial price at which the user created the alert. Other than that, I really like that your bot links each cryptocurrency's name to its corresponding chart in CoinMarketCap. I was not aware that such a thing could be done in Telegram at all without having the explicit URL showing.

 
I like this bot. There's no need to check the site from time to time which makes it more efficient. Telegram is the best app to use too because it is easy to use and navigate. There are some groups too in telegram that is my source of information when it comes to trading so its good to find many sources in just one app. I agree with btcton in adding a feature for price alerts because its a big help when I am waiting for a price of a certain coin before buying or selling. Thank you for making such bot.

Nice work, it's useful to me, but i think you should add the chart that showing the change of coin is better.

According to your requests we've updated the work of the bot:
1. Now, when creating a notification, top 10 coins according to coinmarketcap.com are available for fast choice. The data are updated every day.
2. The option of single notification setting is added.  It works out only once and is deleted automatically.
3. Single notifications may be created for any currency in unlimited amount. Monitoring may be set for both increase and decrease of the price.
4. Single notifications differ from regular ones for your convenience.
5. Now you can see the division into two types of notifications - single and regular - in menu "My notifications".

I just got the Telegram message with the update and tried out the new single notification feature. I like it, but I would also suggest making it so that outside of a certain "cooldown period," it tells you every time that Bitcoin makes it pass the threshold. For example, if I set a notification for 15K, I would like to both receive a notification for when it rises past that mark and if it stays there for a while (or if it rises significantly above that, such as 15.5K) then I would automatically receive a notification about it automatically, kind of like with the regular notifications already in place. Of course, this is kind of a specific request and I am not sure how many people would actually need it, but it's there in case you feel like doing it.

I'm still using this bot. I would like to ask if it is not possible to get the bitcoin price? I mostly check the BTC price of a coin (I think there are others too) rather than its USD value, so maybe having an option and let the users decide would be a great idea.

PS. This is the 1st telegram bot that I used that's why I'm not so sure about the possible features

Bot supports all currencies that are listed on coinmarketcap.com (1355 as for now). In menu you see TOP 10 currencies. If you want to choose others - lets type in currency name or its symbol code in message window

New feature added: if you want to know base info about any currency, lets input currency name or its symbol in message window (at any place besides [Step 1])

fantastic work! thank you for doing this. i am still trying to find the answer, but could you please tell me why it keeps saying "it is impossible to recognize your request. please, type in once more or use the menu.". i typed "new notification", then "XMY", then chose either "single" or "regular" (preferred). both had that error..

Edit: used it on phone, used buttons exclusively. Apparently the command should be single or regular + notice that’s why the bot wasn’t picking up the command. All good now. Thanks.

Thanks for developing a useful tool based on coinmarketcap, as most people use this site to watch over cryptocurrencies prices.
I have been using 2 different telegram bots, but this is the best bot to be informed about every change in prices.
Have been added few coins and it's satisfying for a bot, usually just set regular notifications but after reading this, I would like to try single notification, have set one :), no complaint at all.

Update: now you can type:
"single" or "single notice"
"regular" or "regular notice"

As for now we have not resources and time to develop such iOS Plugin

For what it's worth, I do not think that a plugin/app (what exactly is it that you are asking for?) with the same functionality as the bot would not really convey any of the information or data from CoinMarketCap any more efficiently than the bot already does. Creating a bot simplifies the development process significantly and results in development time being spent on features rather than on supporting different operating systems or platforms in which to run, something that Telegram already does beautifully. The notifications system would not really be any different from the one currently in place since the notifications from the Telegram bot would already show up in your lock screen and you can selectively mute different chats. For there to be a dedicated app for it, there should be something bigger that required the dedicated resources.

Solid bot, a lot easier then using a traditional website due to the fact that telegram pretty much works under any circumstances and barely requires any data to be movung back and forth for it to be working. Could be useful for traders that are handling large accunts on the go, as you're not going to have premium charts around them all the time.

I actually like it, but I think there are still no difference between installing an app for phone to know what would be the current price. And one advantage of that app is that, there is an active notification existing on one chosen app which this coin telegram bot doesn't have I believe. Is it possible to put every currency on the list to follow other than what are listed there? If so, that would be great!  ;)

This bot is no longer working. It was working fine till May 23 and then stopped giving notifications. Please fix it if possible.

Mine was on mute so I'm not sure about this, but everytime I open my app, there are few price updates on the coins I followed. I think the dev stop updating the bot. I have a request before about seeing the BTC price for alerts, he said it will be implemented soon, but no news about it.

I'd like to suggest a multi FIAT currency feature monitoring, or just to change to another one. An up or down indicator.

I mean, Instead of:

its a very cool bot I love it. Can you make some change and if we can add it in our groups to get information in a group say I am an admin of a alt coin if I want to see price change of my alt coin

Why would you make so big list, I`m using this bot for months, its good for tracking some coins prices, its an alert. Good about this bot is that you are notified when price change up or down in range you need, I use it for several coins and couple times I was really luck to have it, I got notified for something I needed, but I forgot about it totally, luckily bot reminded me.

Hello there, this bot is great, but it stops show current price since  last market dump. Does anyone know how we can contact the admin to fix it?
