Title: Scammer: Juneteenth
Post by: lampshad3 on June 24, 2013, 06:19:35 AM
User Juneteenth is a scammer.

Earlier I posted about trading some XRP for BTC, this user responded to that posting via PM here on the forums. After laying down the terms of the trade, I send this user half of the agreed upon XRP, he stated that he would then send half of the agreed upon BTC.

After I sent the first half, he acknowledged receiving it, but after multiple attempts to contact this person, they have stopped responding. They have stayed online but will not respond to PM attempts. I have given this over an hour in hopes that maybe something was wrong on their end, I know that people are busy and what not, but the user has been active on the forums for almost the entire time.

and yes, I know I should have used an escrow for this, the situation is that I needed to unload them, and didn't take the time necessary to insure something like this could not happen, I can assure you that it won't happen again, that is for damn sure.

Screenshots of all correspondence with this user are available for mods on request.

Really?  An hour?  Give it a bit more time, maybe he fell asleep or something while waiting for it to confirm? (I don't know how confirmations work with xrp but I would assume it's a similar process?

But I will be following this.

Can you also post proof that you have sent the xrp and your wallet address for receiving from blockchain that shows nothing has been received?

You are STILL defending this guy, after he stole 1k mp, and tried to steal that PayPal?  You are a scammer too then
And to op, do a search, June is a known scammer. You will never see that xrp or any btc.

Wow didn't see this coming. Wu is June. Anyone that has a brain can put this together. Sad the mods don't tag all accounts with a scammer tag, it would have prevented this.

Yes, only gave it an hour, it does not take even close to that long for things to happen.

Even so, still no contact from this person.

I'm only defending this guy because we still have no proof he did anything.  I know how it feels to have people jump to conclusions based on something that shit company paypal does to you.  It's happened to me to.  I've stated before, I don't know whether he is a scammer or not, but people seem to be just jumping on the bandwagon and aren't offering proof.

I don't know about the moneypack situation, but as I said on the other thread, it doesn't look good for june.

As far as the PP situation goes, goose got his money back.  It was terrible customer service, but not provable a scam.

And if you can prove I'm a scammer I'd like to see it.  I've only made one transaction here on bitcoin talk where I bought somethiing from someone and the deal went off without a hitch so I'm not sure what you think i'm scamming here...

Yep! You got me! I'm june!

/sarcasm

seriously?  how do people come up with these things?  Just because you voice an opinion in one person's favor makes you the same person?

Like I said, I have no experience with xrp so I'll take your word for it.

June?  Any word from you mate?  You disappearing at inopportune times is getting me in trouble on the forums! lol

You are either blind, retarded, or June. Either way, every post you make makes you look more idiotic.

Of the three choices, I'll take retarded! (Sorry June!)  But I'm simply saying that people need to not just jump on a boat here and side with people getting scammed when there is no proof people are actually getting scammed.  The evidence against June is circumstantial at best.  This guy chose to trade with June despite his negative trade rating--which means after due diligence, he still thought it was safe to trade.  Maybe this was based on others who have had positive experience?  Who knows?  But what we have yet to prove is that June has scammed anyone (though this thread may very well turn out to be the first)

Lol. No proof?

Ok

You deal with him then. Anyone who does is a fool.

You certainly fit the bill.

I was kind of in a hurry to unload them, so I didn't do quite as much research into the person as I should have, that was a mistake, I know.

That being said, there was only one other thread that mentioned this person in scam accusations, I did read through that one, and from the looks of it it was resolved, so I thought I would give him a chance.

In hindsight, big mistake, but oh well, didn't lose any BTC, just some XRP, which I got for free, didn't lose all of them, and I can show people what a liar this guy is, so people don't make the same mistake I did.

Sometimes it takes a while for people to catch on. Not everyone wants to read scammer threads before every transaction to make sure no one is putting a hex on their transaction partner. And what about the poor "First" guy? He has no defense! You can't do anything to stop getting ripped off if the person has never done it before!
