If it gets to 1usd in 2018 would already be great achivement. Also a great news for the xrp hodlers. Today we can see fifth green day candle on xrp/eur chart. This did not happen since end of june.

In that case the total market cap will be more than 3 times the Ethereum. It won't happen unless Bitcoin and all the altcoins pump heavily in next year.

They may serve a utility for a select group of individuals, but it is purely speculative as there is no actual use case in the service they are providing with the coin. The coin is there just to make profit off of, there is no long term value here. It is centralized and banks are getting excited about it. I can't wait until someone hacks it.
