Title: Bitsquare exchange
Post by: CryptoEnthused on November 17, 2017, 07:52:23 PM
Does anybody trade on this exchange? Always hear names like Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex. But came across this and thinking of using it. What do you think of this exchange? It's decentralized and private, so why people don't trade there?

The exchange is legit as you are in full control of everything however just like OpenBazaar, people find them inconvenient as there is a need of running the software 24/7 If you want to come across trades, there is also a lack of users and a chance that your request won't get fulfilled etc. Hopefully, with Atomic swap coming, people will start leaving centralized exchanges as they are no good when it comes to user privacy.

Thanks for reply. But I don't understand the part about 24/7 software running. How is that. What happens if you don't run it constantly

Exchange liquidity growth of Bitsquare isn’t quick but it rise with the time. I don’t know another exchange platform which don’t use proxy tokens. This is the most decentralized platform to exchange. People don’t use because they don’t know about it.

It's decentralized, there is no central server to process the orders you make, keep them and then do the trade automatically whenever an offer is available so basically, your computer is your server, you will have to keep it running If you want your trade offers to show.
