HI,

I'm from Sri lanka and I want to buy BTC (or ETH) by depositing USD through my credit card. I found only cex and changelly echanges. But in those exchanges BTC price too high comparing to USD. Also the no of coins very limited.
Anyone know good exchange to buy BTC using USD? (I checked with the bitstamp and it is not possible to Sri lankans :( )

Have you tried using Coinbase yet? They're normally a good place to start.

Does coinbase support your country? If it does that would be your best option. The other option for you is cex.io, but since the rate is too high for you, you can try localbitcoins and buy it over the counter. Not sure about any other exchanges and if they can be trusted or not.

There are so many sites available to buy bitcoin. Out of them, the most common ones are Localbitcoins and Coinbase. You can get reasonable prices there. Also the fees are low in them.

Btw, don't use Paxful. It's not trusted.

If you want to buy bitcoin from USD then you need to contact with bitcoin holder person or the best option is that you can contact with bitcoin exchanger they have more number of bitcoin they can sale you.

Coinbase and Localbitcoins would be your best place to start. If neither option work for you then i'd suggest using google to find a reliable service that operates to your country, just make sure you do you due diligence to avoid being scammed.

previous advise in regards to coinbase and local bitcoins it spot on. Localbitcoins if you had to chose 1. Just so easy to use and very convenient.

try add advert on local site about buy/sell computer parts, i hope someone in your city who mining crypto see you and will offer you

You can buy bitcoin from localbitcoins or you use coinbase and directly buy from them with USD. You can also use Bittrex or bitfinix too. You can still search for more using the internet.

Like everyone has been saying, if coinbase is supported in your country you should do that. I have been using them for years without a problem.

it's sad to see that with a digital product such as bitcoin, it's hard to buy in some countries

you can try paxful and use paypal or payeer to get some BTC or go to local board and ask for cash

bitstamp & bitfinex are not allowed here in my country too.
The best thing that you can do is just to use localbitcoins, there might be a lot of sellers in there, but most of them are probably going to sell their bitcoins at an expensive rate because there are no providers in your country.
Try to find a good seller in there, so you can gain his trust so you can keep buying from him in the future, localbitcoins is not difficult to use, i have been using them for more than months and i have never had any problem with them so far.

This method is even worse. There will be too many additional costs and a large risk of running into scams. It seems to me that buying and selling on CEX.io is not very bad option. I often use this exchange. Believe me that the Internet is a lot less lucrative offers. It seems to me that when buying and selling bitcoins the important thing is not price, superior reliability of the resource.

The best exchange to buy bitcoins with usd is coinbase but i think coin base is not available in Sri lanka.Still you can buy bitcoins for usd at localbitcoin.com it is available in all countries.So sign up in local bitcoins and grab your bitcoins soon. :)

I think you should buy the sellers in the country where you can go live and the transaction will be safer for you. You can see on coinbase if coinbase supports your country it is the safest place to buy bitcoin.

You could just use localbitcoins.com and buy BTC with USD.Lots of sellers names are listed there with their offered prices.You could select the best price and buy.You could either buy bitcoins by directly sending USD from your bank account to the seller's bank account or else,you could buy bitcoins manually from the seller by cash.Here,you could get the best prices in the market.

Localbitcoins is working fine in there, i know a guy who has been buying a lot from there, but from the Capital of the country,i dont know the exactly name of the city because i am not from there.
it is not difficult to buy from there, a lot of people including me, have been buying or selling, because it is easy and it almost has no risks at all.
cex.io is a good place to buy too, but you need to use a creditcard, and i dont know if your card providers really allow you to buy digital boughts on your country.
be careful with the scammers, dont buy with here, and dont provide them your credit card number, doesnt matter what.

You can consider using exchanges such as local bitcoin, bittrex, coinbase, they offer bitcoin purchases directly using credit cards. I consider them secure and easy to use.

Some people are willing to buy bitcoin but they don’t know how to buy bitcoin. So I want to suggest them to contact with some local exchanger they will change your currency in bitcoin or you can also make a contact with a person who have bitocoin.
