What have you bought with Bitcoin? Is it easy? And how can I do it right?

While I'm not really keen on actually buying stuff using bitcoins as I prefer so just sell high and buy using normal USD (since that gets me a bit of profit) but I actually did buy a few things online.

But none of them were physical stuff. I bought a few gift cards for my PSN account using a website called g2a. Actually it became my go-to way whenever I want to top up my account.

If you're a person who deals with servers and hosting then you'll be happy to know that I also rented out a few VPS devices from vultr.com using btc as well but they require that the first payment is to be made using paypal or a credit card (have no idea why) but later on you can use btc.

Actually, I use the major portion of my bitcoins for trading only. The main intention that I have behind buying and holding bitcoin is that I need to make profit while trading in it.

Here in my country, there is an exchange that offers a lot of services like paying bills, buying stuff in selected merchants and prepaid loads. I only tried buying prepaid load with my Bitcoins for my internet connection and so far so good. The transaction is so fast because I got the load right after the said transaction. Other than that I bought kitchen appliances for my brother and father but the difference is I sent my Bitcoins to local exchanges then to remittance. In other words I converted my Bitcoins to fiat money there is no local and physical stores in my area to accept Bitcoin payment yet but still that money was from my Bitcoin income most especially payments from signature campaigns. All in all Bitcoin transaction is super fast and easy.

Never bought anything using Bitcoin itself, but bought a lot of things after converting it to fiat. The biggest thing i bought with bitcoins was a bike before a year or so. That was the first time when i cashed out my bitcoins for the only reason, to buy a bike for myself and i was so happy to do so. It feels so nice when you buy something for yourself for the first time, with your own money. It was the first time for me to earn money as well, and that was because of bitcoin. I can never forget those life changing moments.

None so far, but I convert it to fiat to by some stuff. So ideally, I'm still buying stuff with bitcoin indirectly. This kind of adoption would be rocking hard when lightning is already implemented. I'd recommend people to talk to your wallet provider to adopt segwit as a start.

there is a small online shop (gardening stuffs) here that accept BTC as payment, transaction went smooth and without any issue.
Was surprisingly amazed when i've found they added BTC as for of payment, it was easy and fast, i would really like more and more shops to accept BTC, it would speed up everything!
On the other hand, when i can't pay directly with BTC i just convert some into fiat and pay with paypal, easy peasy!

Here in the Philippines we have a wallet that we can use to pay Bills, Tuition fee and Buy prepaid load etc. and it has a mini exchange "Philippine Peso to Bitcoin". It does have some advantages and disadvantages when it comes to getting your Bitcoin to fiat. My First Bitcoin purchase is a Full dinner at a local restaurant here in the philippines.

I did not buy anything with bitcoin because I'm optimistic about the future of bitcoin, so I do not want to use my bitcoin right now, and I'm going to invest bitcoin for a long time. :)

I used to purchase a lot with Bitcoin until 2015 both from normal markets and from dark markets (not any drugs or other contraband). I have purchased gold bullion coins, US Dollar bank notes, prescription medicines, premium subscription to some websites, hacking services.etc using Bitcoin. But ever since the prices started rising, I stopped spending by BTCs.

Directly with bitcoins I bought some games from steam, few tines Netflix, my try to buy iPhone here was disaster and I was scammed for some bitcoin, many different altcoins, icos, I gamble with my bitcoins.
With money I got from selling bitcoins I bought so many things, in past year list is endless. Bitcoins helped me a lot, and with luck from gambling and some good investments I managed to buy many things for myself, for the house, once I fixed my car with money from bitcoins, I didn't have money it was or to sell bitcoins I have and fox it or to wait almost a month for my next salary.

As to material things, I exchange my bitcoin into fiat first, as Bitcoin is still not accepted in stores here at our country. In my 4 months in the crypto world, I already bought many things such as phone, air conditioner and more, I am also able to build a mini store and pay my school tuition fee because of my earnings here at the forum. I also used my BTC to buy ETH, as it is one of the worth to buy with bitcoin, and also prepaid load.


Just sell when the market value is high. And invest again the spare.

Digital stuff, mostly. Like domain names, hosting, Steam wallet and items, mobile top-up, etc. Yes, it's so convenient and easy. But right now I would think twice before using Bitcoin to buy those things. The fee for each transaction is quite expensive currently, reaching as high as $7-$10 for normal/low size transaction. It's silly to spend $10 in fee when your item price is around the same level. These high fee issue has existed sometime before but now it's getting serious and annoying. Combination of the number of tx stuck in the mempool + Bitcoin crazy high price caused this.  Lets hope that future implementation could scale Bitcoin up and fixes this issue.

I remember that I used regularly buy mobile top-up ($0.5 and $1 increment usually) using Bitcoin back in the days. The tx fee was only BTC0.0001 and at that time it was only worth around 5 cents. Right now it's just not logical anymore to do small top-up using Bitcoin.

How to do it right? Get some BTC, order something, send BTC. Done. As simple as that. You should try it to understand how it works on customer level.

I have bought a lot of things, Especially, in the morning usually, i buy my breakfast through Bitcoin. Not only that But also I have bought a web domain from Namecheap. I also know that Godaddy also accepts Bitcoin nowadays.

No one will believe it that you can access the bitcoin in the hotel and restaurants.
You can buy the online services and some sites provides the way to purchase the products in the e-commerce store as well. So having bitcoin will be work in online site only not with the real stores as of now.
Please wait for some years to access bitcoin in all the places.

What do you mean how can you do it right? There are several things i can do directly with bitcoin straight from my wallet like paying bills and buying phone credits. I've also converted btcs to fiat for offline purchases.

When I was successful the first time was not much, but the second was just getting good. from here I bought a laptop that I use to improve my morale in this bitcoin other than that I bought another need to complete my needs. All you have to do is persevere so that our level of skill gets smarter in this bitcoin.

I think you would make a better deal by just keeping the Bitcoin and paying your bills with fiat.

Bitcoin is becoming a popular currency purchasing method day by day, In recent times, I have bought a lot of thing through Bitcoin. A domain from Namecheap I bought last year, I also know that Bitcoin is being accepted on various online shopping platform. I used to use bitcoins to buy domains and hosting servers.
The reality on some websites to buy goods online with bitcoins payments does not require your original data. I strongly avoid paying through creditcards along with its rampant fraud and misuse, other alternatives using paypal are proving ineffective as I often experience problems in phone verification. So with my bitcoins it's easier to do transaction.

Notably, none of the above could have been purchased without Bitcoin.

I have paid my recent electricity , water and internet bill using bitcoin from this forums Signature campaigns and some airdrops. And pay for a haircut too .

Honestly, i didn't earn yet since I only started bitcoining this week. And even though I am earning in BTC i would not spend it since I am not that materialistic. I prefer to save it and use it when the emergency comes. And also saving for the future. We need to be practical to have a better life and also to use BTC in the most effective and in best way.

I've already bought loads of things with crypto usually for my main productivity and gaming PC. Also managed to move out of our old flat to a new, bigger one since I've been successful on my investments on bitcoin for the past three years. As of now, I'm focused on getting the most out of my investments and see whether the second week of December would do me any good before I convert some of my bitcoins to cash for the coming Christmas. I already have what I wanted and needed and there's no point in converting to cash anytime sooner.

I'm buying coins just for bitcoin, sometimes for ETH, to invest in new ICO projects, because many ICO projects only pay ER20 tokens, and these tokens are typically purchased in ETH.

I've bought my own gaming pc and other gaming rigs. I've been here for a year and it is so much fun. I know everyone can do this if you got the dedication. It is not really that easy to earn bitcoin when you have no knowledge on what you will do. What I did is getting on bunch of bounty campaigns and started to do trading which really paid my hardwork off. I know you can do it too, just read old threads that is for newbies and always be updated to crypto news everyday.

for now I can only buy daily necessities because I am new to bitcoin and still learn much more to get the luck from Botcoin.

FREEDOM from an archaic fiat system!

If you intend to spend bitcoin on every day things you should consider getting abitcoin debit card that allows you to buy anything and have that purchase be debitrd from your bitcoin wallet. Ideally, get a card that advertises bitcoin on it so merchants know you're using bitcoin...or ask tge merchant if they accept bitcoin and only use the debit card if they say "no, what's bitcoin?"

I bought nothing with my BTCs. I am keeping them. Actually, I always buy when the price is low.

When I was just starting with bitcoin, the income I got from it was used to sustain my daily needs.  I got my allowance from it.  I do not remember I have bought something special or gadget from the income I earned from bitcoin.  Lately I just keep all my bitcoin because I am preparing and sort of securing my future.

i remember i am withdraw my bitcoin for buying new laptop and new cellular phone beside to buy my daily needs and i am really glad that now i can buy something that i needed. i think i need to withdraw into money first before i can buy something in my real life but i am often buy prepaid electricity card with bitcoin from the local site that selling the cards.

Purchasing here in the Philippines required the conversion of BTC to fiat. There are no stores accepting BTC for now.
My first purchase is not actually a specific thing but it is worth it. I gave my first earning to my mother. Actually, just half, and stored the other half. For now, haven't got any earnings but the prices continuously rising. And that is a profit.

I've had a lot because of bitcoin. Through it, I was able to sustain my siblings' needs. I was able to pay bills and help my parents with the things that we need everyday. And in my country there are no vendor ormerchant that accepts bitcoin, so in order to use bitcoin to buy something, i need to convert it to fiat currency first. In the future, i would love to buy something related to some other assets or pc related stuff.
It is easy to do transaction with bitcoin now, you just need to use the right amount of satoshi fees to make the transaction cheap and relatively fast. Even if you dont understand it right now, you can learn it in an instant.

You can do a lot of things with bitcoin particularly when using it online. Besides its very easy to use. But you also need to be careful when visiting websites, because you might be a victim of hacking.

I bought a couple of steam games from steam official platform. They accept bitcoin as a payment for your software and video game shopping. They do this for long time.

Im actually not spending my bitcoin, I choose to just buy and hold it and see it more like an asset. Though there were times that im tempted to use it as a form of payment for bills to avpid hassle. Well, I'm so happy because I bought something with the amount of bitcoin I earned in the past few months. If ever I earned more btc, I'm going to buy myself a brandnew flagship phone, then I will give presents to my family this christmas and new year.

I have spent Bitcoins for purchasing domain names, refilling top up for my mobile, DTH accounts and it's really as easy as fiat currencies. You just need a single wallet and some Bitcoins (even small part of Bitcoin is fine) to buy anything.

The process will be something like this,

* You will visit the site and pick whatever you want to purchase (Similar to e-commerce sites).
* You click on the checkout option and sign-up or login to your account.
* Select Bitcoin as a payment option.
* You will see a Bitcoin address and exact payment amount (excluding fees). and a timer.
* Log in to your Bitcoin wallet and send the funds the address mentioned in the previous step, make sure you are including fees along with the mentioned amount. (If you are using web wallets like Blockchain.info then fees will be automatically applied). Hit Send.

Done! Not just wait for a little time while your transaction is confirming and your purchase will be marked as paid.

Only money. I only exchanged, never bought something with bitcoin. There are still only a few sites that accept bitcoin and many of them don't send to my country or they do with high fees. If it would have been different maybe I would have tried to buy something.

Recently, I noticed that even in normal transaction stores can be made through Bitcoin. It is brilliant that we are now witnessing the great revolutions. It's hard to get used to, but I like it a lot.

I've personally used BTC many times for a variety of things such as making payments, purchasing good, gambling etc.  It has many uses just like any currency once you start using it.

I'm still thinking of using my bitcoin to buy some data for my internet use but the high cost of transaction fee prevented me from doing it. I might hold it for more time, waiting for another ATH before converting it to some needed amount into fiat.

So far, the purchases are not enough. Basically it was to see that it really works, and everything is really real. After all, until you feel it, you will not believe it. But in the future I think to increase my small purchases in this industry.

I've not used BTC to buy directly. The closest has been selling my BTC at USD rates then using the cash to make my purchases. That's work works for me at the moment.

I've never bought something with bitcoins. Since most of sites not allowed crypto currecny as payment method .Like Ebay and Amazon. About the rest shopping site i don't believe them because the scammers are everywhere.I better hold them and invest. I bought the bitcoins with money and hold them when the price down and wait till the price up after that i sell it.

A lot of cryptocurrency are now emerging and the originals are bitcoin. I can consider it both an asset and a currency. An asset because as the value rises you are getting bigger conversions compared to how much you bought it as start-up. Currency because more and more merchants are accepting it as form of payment online. It is indeed good to invest on cryptocurrencies. One of the best is Ethereum. To be honest, I'm still afraid to pay directly from my Bitcoin wallet. I can not get used to it, and it is very simple and efficient. I must finally convince and try. There are many points to buy.

I prefer to buy new alcoins, so that later they can be exchanged for benefits with bitcoins.

I actually have bought a flash drive, so I can store my wallets here. I also bought a laptop where I can do my work. As of now, I currently join different kinds of campaigns to earn, such as signature, facebook, twitter and telegram campaigns. I think this is the easiest of all ways to earn BTC.

Yes, it is quite easy to buy stuff with Bitcoin but you need to be careful about fees.

I would love to buy a lot of stuff via Bitcoins but not many web stores are accepting it. I buy online a lot of stuff, cosmetics, gadgets, smartphones. When the web stores start to accept bitcoins I will be more than happy to use it.

I bought online games from origin and steam , fifa16 , rome2 , dota2 items  worth 200-300 usd.

I bought some gadgets and invested online using the bitcoin I earned. There still a few satoshis left in my online wallet that i holding since last year and italready doubled in amount because of bitcoin's continuing appreciation and plan to use it in trading.

I am still a bit afraid of making a transaction through Bitcoin but recently I finally broke the barrier and bought simple electronic items as well as clothes. At the beginning I think that is enough.

I have also been paid for services in bitcoin and never had issues with payments, will highly recommend it to anyone with at least basic knowledge of the functionality of the blockchain technology.

When I need to buy something, the first thing I do is look online for BTC. Promoting the idea in the masses  ;D

I prefer holding, but I like spending small amounts of Bitcoin on a food delivery from time to time and I bought some electric device online few months ago and that's all.

I use my bitcoin to buy mobile top ups, game coins and even gadgets like cellphones and computer. But in the future bitcoin can buy everything.

same here, I use bitcoin for several needs, such as paying internet bills, game vouchers. This really makes it easy for me, but I'm still waiting for some start-up entrepreneur plans, if I can buy food using bitcoin.

I am trying to order everything online with btc even if it requires paying more fee.
However I've never tried to pay my bills yet, thx for the idea  :)
