Title: Help | Windows 10 sometimes detects 1-5 GPU as oppose to 6
Post by: fipoch on November 18, 2017, 07:12:55 PM
Hey everyone. I've been mining for almost 2 months.

Windows 10 Pro
Gigabyte H110-D3A
Intel Celeron G3900
4GB RAM
120GB of SSD
Nvidia GTX 1070 x 6

Currently 8 nos of rig running Nicehash

So, the first month was great, all GPU detected with no problem whatsoever. But then in the 2nd month. Few rig started to detect only 5.
Some went down to only 1 but I managed to format Windows and the system was able to detect 5.

Anyone experiencing the same inconsistency of Windows not detecting 6 gpu on their rig? Is this a common problem?

Risers are the most common problem on this scenario, identify which GPU's that are not detected and try to replace or interchange the risers. Identifying faulty GPU's are bit tricky and you can do this by checking if one of them is getting hotter or not when mining or there's no activity at all.
