Of course, i know that most people heard about bitcoin before other cryptocurrencies. Would you have believed that bitcoin will be this successful?

I dont remember, probably I did not notice it other wise I could have been a billionaire. ;D

For me it was through a friend, however it wasn't until I actually understood 1. the blockchain, 2. the reasoning and benefits, and 3. the applications that it could provide that I was blown away by it. Initially though, as were many-sceptical.

When I first heard about cryptocurrency I could infer that it would be based on some kind of cryptographic algorithm to create a currency system but it took me a while to realise that it would be online and on the blockchain. Utilizing SHA-256 to encrypt every transaction and it foolproof by a verification system based on hashing power was just one step into the future that this system successfully brought into light.

The first time I heard that, my head goes saying what is that while me and my friends were talking about bitcoins. It makes me curious about it so I do my research and studied to learn them. Up to now I am still learning that is why I came here in this forum so that Icould learn more.

I find crypto currencies interesting when I first heard about it. But I never think about Bitcoin will become so disruptive, otherwise I will be a billionaire now.  ;D

I remember first thing came up my mind was Red Dwarf scene where Dave Lister says everything is crypto-fascist. Chuckled a little but I was highly sceptical.  

Yeah, I heard bitcoin long before I heard about cryptocurrency and many people still unfamiliar with that term
Everyone is surprised regarding what bitcoin achieve today
But it doesnt mean bitcoin will stop here, it will grow even bigger

Its amazing! all technologies are born out of purpose many people cannot imagine a life without it.

 first time I was so socked that what is crypto currency.  Then I search it. So many website & Wikipedia help me to know about crypto currency.

When I heard the concept of bitcoin, I didn't hesitate to buy it... too bad I was busy with the stock market a couple of years ago that's why I wasn't able to learn about bitcoins. And yes, I know it will become successful in a year or two (my entry was actually 7 years late already). I know that this method is a boom because I was in the silk road.

Yes, most people hear about bitcoin first and later they also wish to know about altcoins just like me.
It was probably 2014 when i first heard about bitcoin and i remember it was exactly the same forum with a post in bitcoin discussion.
Members were elaborating characteristics of bitcoin, it arouse interest in me to learn more on bitcoin.

I came to know about bitcoin quite late, like start of last year and by that time price of bitcoin was already over $300. But yes it was quite amazing ride from $300 to current $7700+, I have made really good profit by just holding bitcoin. I think bitcoin will reach new ATH almost every year...

When I first heard the word cryptocurrency, I was speechless because I have nothing to say and I don't know a thing about it. I didn't even care to know it. After a few weeks, I keep on seeing posts on social media about Bitcoin and how people are earning from it so I got curious. I decided to join grouos related to it and from there I got all the information and the rest is history.

Firstly, the word cryptocurrency is cool. Kind of like appeal of the word meta-human to a nerd. The only difference, crypto is real metas are not but has this same appeal, at least to me. From the moment I knew bitcoin I know it will become disruptive. I remember when I first purchase my bitcoin and aware I'm able to send this around the world. It was nostalgic.

That's right, at first I heard bitcoin from a friend, then one day in the group there was also a friend who shared an article about bitcoin. after knowing bitcoin I studied trading, that's where I know about altcoin and I see a lot of digital currency listed. after that I go into this forum and I see a lot of cryptocurrency project. I think when bitcoin price will grow up, I'm sure with other cryptocurrency can also be a prospect in the future. maybe it's because of the functionality and usability of each different currency, so that someday it will be useful and valuable.

the first time i heard about cryptocurrency of course i was confused and didnt understand what that meant, but now i have a bit of understood and i believe with bitcoin

It was last winter when I first heared about cryptocurrency. For me it was something unreal. And it sounded  - the virtual coins. So I did not have any idea what is it and how it works. The first thought was - What? Virtual coin? Is it a joke? I even did not see any difference between Bitcoin and altcoins... I was too sceptical about it. And after some time I registered on Bitcointalk, started interested more about the startups, ICOs and how to participate in. And when the first coins appeared on the wallet - it was wow!!! )))) it was so small amount, but I really understood that it works, it is not the myth, but the real working thing. Now I may admit that cryptocurrency is a real perspective and promissing alternative money of nowadays and the future.

first time i've heard the word cryptocurrency i was like here we are again, another internet thing which will not be used in couple of weeks... oh boy i was sooo wrong :D
Then i wanted to go deeper and i have discovered the blockchain and i changed my mind immediately, this can be an internet revolution (at that time i couldn't jump in the BTC train) and i was right.
Look where we are now and this "internet-thing" will last forever!

first thing when i heard word cryptocurrency, connected in online market but not bitcoin or other cryptocurryency ^_^

When i first started there is only bitcoin and the alt coin community came after that,it was an interesting concept and i really did not have any idea how it would have any valuation and how people are going to spend money on it,i thought it would take a long time to catch up but the growth was astonishing and i hope it will continue to growth with necessary changes in the network to accommodate everyone.

That was a long time ago and at first I didn't have much trust, like many I suppose. It sounded to me like some kind of technical experiment that is not going to last.
But still I got interested and I started to collect some information. That is also how I got to this forum. Soon I realized cryptocurrencies are the future and I wanted to become a part of it and I started to use them.

I came to know about the word cryptocurrency through one of my friend. He introduced one of his friend saying he's a cryptocurrency enthusiast. Initially I didn't understood anything and later things happened in the right way and I too started exploring and found this to be more an valuable asset.

I will  not lie but the first time I heard crypto currencies, my mind said it was an impossible things that can be successful, and the first time when my friend introduced it to me, I still hesitate to learn, but after heard his successful story then I join and after a few years joining, I think crypto currencies could be the future currency, its flexibility and easiness really give me convenient to used it

when i heard  about cryptocurrency , i felt fear to do it , and also my hand was empty , bored life with university studies . but after do some studies about this i used to love the word called cryptocurrency . I searched everywhere that i can search about this word. :)

when i first heard the news of cryptocurrency from my best friend, really i am astonished. i become very happy for hearing that news.for next i am trying best to aquaring knowledge.

The first time I heard or read about cryptocurrency I was really surprised. I read it on facebook, so when I read it I was really surprised but even so I was still hesitate. And I was also surprised when my sister told me about it and he alsk told me that I needed to learn about it so I'm here today to learn more about cryptocurrency and bitcoin

To be honest, I really don't think that bitcoin could reach this far. The first time I heard cryptos or bitcoin was around 2011 try my hands on it but totally give up because I don't see any future. However, things have changed. You can see that in this year alone, bitcoin price exponentially grow to 700% which has not been done before.

Now, I'm hook on it, although there are regrets for not believing in it before, I still think that its not to late to join the bandwagon and connect myself into the ecosystem and recover my lost ground.
