Title: (wtb) mxm 3.0b laptop graphics card Post by: b_man_4 on November 19, 2017, 10:55:33 PM i got a msi gt783r-658us and the gtx580 went to flames. i would like to put a 780m in it but might just opt out for a quadro k4000m. the integrated intel hd graphics dose not work by itself witch is a shame. if you inspect the nvida cards they are all the same layout. i was thinking of doing a rx290m but that would require me to modify the current heat sink slightly. (update) just ordered a brand new gtx580 for a ridiculous price of 105 cad! the only issue i may have is its a alien ware aka dell and might just work or have to flash bios or not work at all , let the gamble begin.
