Title: Confess, triple digit believers
Post by: N12 on June 25, 2013, 09:03:29 PM
Who still believes triple digits are feasible?

Do you think we will be trading in the triple digits the next couple months?

Sorry what are you talking about exactly? Triple digit BTC USD price I presume?  ... Price was triple digits earlier today and has spent most the last 6 months in triple digits. Confused  ???

I'll refine the question: Do you think we will be trading in the triple digits the next couple months?

Yes, but if we're much lower than that, time to buy bitcoin, folks. Last chance saloon for cheap 'coin?

I thnik we'll go to $13-$26 in a few months... And then will bounce to $50 and will trade at ~$50 with 4-5 months and then will grow up slowly.

We won't be here for long. And still, the perma-bulls never give up.

Hard to say how much of the market cap is being held by large banks, so who really knows? If all the increases in BTC were real, than I'd say it was a sure thing and that we were headed towards $500, but given that the powers-that-be have a history of pump-and-dump in synch with their propaganda stories of "crashes" (think Alex Jones' day before prediction), you can't really tell.

I save my speculation for trading btc<->ltc, and just keep buying btc regardless of price.

I think we'll go to $1-$2 in a few months... or maybe $0.1-$0.2 ... And then will bounce to $5000 and will trade at ~$5000 with 4-5 months and then will grow up slowly.

edit: ... and then I wake up ... I was dreaming :-)

Don't worry, I'll open up a single digit thread as well once we are firmly in double digit territory. :D

I confess, I'm a diehard triple digit believer. ;D No but seriously I don't see bitcoin dipping down into the double digits for very long, a few days at most perhaps when USD withdrawals are possible again. 93 USD will be the bottom of the next couple of months.

Don't miss it, or you're going to have to panic buy at 135 in September. :P

Releasing funds for a big btc buy over next few weeks.
I expect 200usd per coin to be reached by Xmas.

This will be seen as the time latecomers had their faith tested...

The only thing to be released are the gox withdraws.
Bankrun anyone?

The latecomers are those with too much faith.
They've seen nothing but Bitcoin going up Up UP!

Ok I admit I was wrong about the bottom, but have you panic bought yet? ;)

You all must've seen the all time log graph at some point. Stop Trolling!

http://i41.tinypic.com/2h84d9t.jpg

And you all must understand that a whole BTC isn't like a whole pound coin, nobody is expected to be able to own a whole BTC.

And this thread will be conveniently forgotten about when the price is $1,100 and there is another thread about how $1,100 is so unsustainable but $800 is so reasonable exactly as there probably was from $0.001 to $0.01 and $0.01 to $0.1 and $0.1 to $1 and $1 to $10 and certainly $10 to $100.

Don't stop trolling for a while then continue to troll again, just stop doing it. Find something productive in BTC to work on.

Why? You wrote that on June 25th. The May/June downtrend continued a bit longer, then we hit bottom in the high 60s, low 70s eventually. Where we stayed for, how long?, a day or two. You were certainly more accurate than those who predicted a single digit bottom, or even a bottom near 50, like so many bears liked to do.

(Disclaimer - this is something I feel always have to add: I'm not a bull per se. I'm not claiming we've reached the absolute capitulation bottom. I'm talking about the mid term development above, not the question "is the bubble over yet or not?")

I believe that we will see triple digits within the next 12 months. Possibly even this year.

Haha. Whoops. By triple digits I mean triple 000's :D

Didn't notice this was a thread from June...

That's the only chart I take seriously. You don't even need to draw the obvious straight line.

Hopefully it continues at this rate for at least a few more years (or decades). I'd love to see the need to subdivide the satoshi.

Exponential growth never lasts indefinitely. This means that growth of bitcoin economy will eventually slow down.

thankfully, we have a little room to grow still  ;D

OP, what do you think the Chinese state's reaction to the latest WWIII rumblings would realistically be? Aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean and the Hormuz? Or a nice gentle dumping of dollar reserves into the BTC market? Clearly the latter.

Exponential growth never lasts indefinitely. This means that growth of bitcoin economy will eventually slow down.

Of course. But with $30 trillion plus squirrelled away in offshore assets (tax havens and the like), there's a huge untapped market. Imagine even 0,1% of that piling onto the bid side of the BTC exchange markets. The huge question is, how does that money move its way thither? It's not like it's that easy just to go and buy up $50 million worth of bitcoin in one go right now.

Quote
This also means that all debt based currencies i.e. USD, GBP, EUR etc are intended to fail eventually, by design.

History does hint at that, doesn't it?
