Bitcoin Price Reaches $8,100, a New Record High


Bitcoin price has struck a new all-time high of $8,100 during Sunday’s trading, continuing its rally from the previous Sunday’s lows.

The world’s first cryptocurrency has hit a new record high of $8,100 (Bitfinex) as its resurgence from last week’s decline to $5,500, continues.
Sunday began with bitcoin trading at just under $7,800 and stuck under the ceiling for most of the day. At 17:15 (UTC), prices jumped above $7,900 in a 15-minute trading period. The swell turned to a spike which ended with bitcoin striking $8,100 at 18:15, a gain of over $300 in an hour.

At press time, bitcoin is trading to the dollar at $8,065.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows bitcoin now gaining 31.7% in a 7-day span. The previous Sunday’s decline was caused by a major sell-off by investors who shifted to offshoot cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash, a trend that has since been reversed.
Overall, the total value of all mined bitcoin sees the market cap of bitcoin, the world’s most prominent cryptocurrency, and reach above $134 billion.

2017 was the record year for bitcoin. Bitcoin's price escalation following the failure of the SegWit2x fork has pushed the currency out of its $ 5,600 (on Sunday, November 12) to a new milestone hitting $ 8,050 within a week. Analysts expect the price of bitcoin to rise even further by the end of 2017 with the entry of institutional investors and retail traders through Coinbase, CBOE, Gemini and CME.

To further boost the market, which is eagerly awaiting the debut of Bitcoin on the CME stock exchange, the world's largest futures exchange, which is expected to happen by December 15, and also one of the largest exchanges in the world, Coinbase, introduced Coinbase Custody, another Bitcoin trading platform for institutional traders and retailers. At Custody Coinbase, large investors can invest a minimum amount of $ 10 million in bitcoin.

I think it will break all the records next year might be touch to 15000$.

Wow! I did not really expect it to happen before this month end since Bitcoin is lately tied with its value at 7800$. This is something to look forward in the future and the pribability of bitcoin to have a price un the market of 10000$ before this year end is becoming bigger. If the increase on its value will continue, it will surely be a good thing for its users and investors.

I witnessed it went only at $8,000 and wasn't able to see it went at $8,100 though it's downing right now. Profit takers are verily active with monitoring the price of bitcoin it's now back at $7,980. But with these new record highs and all time highs there's only one thing that comes to my mind. Exaggerated speculations way back years ago is now happening, so this means that exagg speculations right now will happen for the next years to come.

i think from now on we will see every day a new high record and this is amazing for BTC!
We will always see some down after a new high because people want to make profit out of it by selling but right after the small down price going up is now the normal trend for BTC, keep calm and hodl your BTC because this roller costaster will not stop here.

Technically bitcoin doesn't look so awesome in short term. It's overbought.

Divergence between new highs and RSI oscillator indicates that bulls are not that confident in further growth.
Small volumes of trades on new highs also means that big players are not participating in that.

Only one bad news is enough to break the balance.

A great reason to celebrate to see the surge in price and everyone getting calm about what's going on with the SegWit2x attackers, we always knew we're the dominate coin and the silly false bravado from shady characters wasn't going to hold us back at all.

none of these mean anything for bitcoin and it certainly doesn't mean traders are not confident about further growth. it just means the rise is slowing down temporarily, which is most probably due to accumulation phase kicking in. and soon the rise will start with the same fast speed again.

that is always true, it has nothing to do with current charts!
a bad news is always causing some drop, based on the news itself it is sometimes big like 20 to 30% and sometimes small like 5%-10%

I mean now it's more true than other times, because the market is thin, volumes are low and noone wants to buy near ATH. Newcomers are waiting for some correction to enter the market.
But in long term I have no doubt bitcoin starts growing again.

2017 should be called bitcoin year, but I think in 2018, the price of bitcoin will continue to go up, 1000 dollars can be touched, in addition to many companies and countries will launch payment cooperation with bitcoin.

10k is inevitably approaching. But it seems to me before this should occur a correction.

This is a new record and I am quite surprised because we have achieved tremendous achievements today.  All this is proof that Bitcoin Prices will continue to rise and we must continue to be patient Holding bitcoin we have. This will train patience because then we can get a much bigger profit. I am sure Bitcoin will create a new record again and will create opportunities to achieve a much better achievement.

It is good when bitcoin increase now because it is big prevelage to have bitcoin and double or triple its currency price,because it gives and promotes employment in able to have a starting money for bussiness. It was a good news that bitcoin should be able to help someone else life through increasing its price nowadays because its promotes and gain more investments.

This year was really great for bitcoin!I mean,who would've though back then that the bitcoin will actually reach this value.In the last few months I think the bitcoin was just about 2000$ and now it has increased very high.

Hurrahh bitcoin price is rising at the level of $8035 at now. It is the highest price curve for my eye.  I am fully astonished by seeing the highest price level. I hope in the starting point of 2018 Bitcoin price will contract the level of$10k

This is so awesome! Bitcoin never fails to amaze me, who would imagine that it will reached its position today and make a new record. Growing rate of btc was so very fast although that's a little bad for small buyers like me but I don't care anymore because I believe that it will grow bigger in the future. It's always worthy to buy bitcoins whatever price it has. :)

Too early for me to celebrate, there's more to come in bitcoin and this is just to make everything possible to bitcoin. Every ATH's can possibly happen, so we just have to keep on pushing bitcoin to another ATH and later on we'll be definitely going to see it on $10,000.

Yeah and I think its very very good time to get more bitcoins. I have been always very excited about the bitcoin investment because it always pays you what you desire and its like heavenly investment to me. Though the prices are very very high at this point but we should start thinking it in different ways as there is no highest peak for the bitcoin. This thing is just growing in the height and it will keep going on forever. So the best way to work with it is to learn to invest all the time and keep faith in it for the returns which we always get in the first place.


Im really hoping the bitcoin will reach 10K before the Christmas because its going to Christmas guys! I mean this could help me get best gifts ever for the family and freind too. This is just amazing thing and the best use of the bitcoin this year end.   

Yes it is really a new record and achievement or new milestone for Bitcoin. I am sure that goverment and the media are alerted by the price of Bitcoin and soon they'll make it a headline and issue. Anyway I am glad that i didn't panic last last week now i can sell my Bitcoin and buy eth for me to hold again for a long period of time.

It was definitely a record not just by hitting above $8k but also within this year is the greatest highlight of bitcoin reflecting on its price.
Surely there are lot of investors that will be glad to be involve on bitcoin. Today, bitcoin continuously rise that means it grows gradually. Development of bitcoin takes place every time it makes us see what it can do and how high it can soar.

Many of us here are speculating it will hit 10,000 usd by year end, I sure hope so. That is the next huge number that we are waiting for. Remember the hype at 5000? Now I reckon you could double or even triple that hype.

If people stay under this assumption and does not sell their coin and autocratically the demand will rise but there will no supply and the price will rise as people would like to buy but there is very less supply may be available. This will drive the btc price to 10k easily.

The price is incredibly going higher, bitcoin have made a new record. This year have been a wonelderful year for bitcoiners this is giving me enough reasons to still hold my bitcoin. I am excited to see the  price go even higher, there's no other way for bitcoin but UP. :)

This will end up as another MtGox, bitfinex will bankrupt and lots of people will be out of their USDTs and Bitcoins. Can only hope the bubble will be big enough for bitfinex to repay their 70 something million stolen, but i doubt that, it will all blow up and we'll see bitcoin on 1k-2k levels if not less.

It is not surprising since bitcoin will grow and no one will stop it unless it was banned or the internet will be limited. Others predicts the price will go $10k dollars before the year ends. I think it is better to hold first or some opportunities will be lost.

I think now the bitcoin will be getting taller and taller will not even have peak. I will continue to see it and I have a hunch that a big spike of bitcoin will happen at the beginning of knowing 2018. let's guys take a look together

oh well its really amazing seeing how this value goes up after some issue a week ago its a good way of getting really good cash and seems to continue I think it will go up even more its just testing the new height and will make some corrections and those who have it for a while and gained a lot will cash it out and make a new entry again, just look closer and keep investing to gain much more.

I highly doubt that, my best bet is bitfinex printing more tethers so they can avoid bankruptcy.

Perhaps, there is no more any reason for Bitcoin's price to fall of the wagon as all the reasons for its decline have all been over. There being no more foreseeable crises that may cause Bitcoin's decline, all Bitcoin investors may now presume that the price in the following days will follow a steady pattern on its way up.

you need to analyze by yourself because every person have their own analyze and it will different than the others. you need to check the trend, buy and sell position, how much price now and before, and then you can decide your price to buy or sell. there are a lot of things that you need to check before you make action and don't afraid to make mistake because from mistake you made, we can learn what our main mistake so in future, we don't make the same mistake.

Yes, it is increasing rapidly. Bitcoin is more powerful crypto currency in crypto world. It has already hit 8k+ and just for the hit of bitcoin on 10k very soon. Bitcoin is very promising coin and it has great opportunity to prove it self.

Why when you write about specific numbers why don't you write the price like this? You're an expert? Then argue their opinion. I also believe that bitcoin will continue growing but to talk about specific amounts is very difficult because no one knows how much it will cost bitcoin in a week.

At the moment it's about 8k3$, It's increasing really really quickly. In this year Bitcoin price has increased about 1000%, a really big number, I think it's really easy to reach to 10k$ till the end of this year or maybe the early of next year.

Today a new ath has got recorded to the entire bitcoin growth chart. Now the price of bitcoin was around 8300$, and expect the same will continue amd to reach a large value. What's been happening with bitcoin is completely real and there is no one to manipulate the price and profit through the same.
