Title: Bitcoinity Market Reports app prevents Kaspersky PURE update completion? Post by: aigeezer on June 26, 2013, 12:38:36 PM I'm finding that when I keep a Firefox tab open for the Bitcoinity market ticker at http://bitcoinity.org/markets - then my Kaspersky PURE automatic updates do not complete.
I'm not yet sure whether this happens each and every time or just sometimes. There is Net chatter about the Kaspersky problem occurring randomly, but I've not yet seen it linked to any particular app. The usual symptom is that the update "sticks" at an arbitrary value over 90%. People generally seem to fix the problem with a reboot. I've found that closing the Bitcoinity tab is sufficient and Kaspersky then finishes its update immediately. Anyone know if there is anything unique about Bitcoinity that would cause this? |
