Hello guys, I think you have known the madness happening on hitbtc as sellers are offering BTG at nearly 0.027 BTC at the moment i post this thread while its price on bittrex is nearly 0.036 BTC. Hitbtc halted the withdrawal of BTG and I feel that something is fishy happening, so guys what do you think about BTG? Is it a scam coin or not?

I am still waiting for BTG division, I am storing BTC in the local exchange. Snapshot already done but until now no information about BTG. very disappointing when seeing everyone already doing BTG trading, and I am still waiting.

I think Bitcoingold will disappear in the next 2-3 years, in the name of the bitcoin word will keep him up to 1 year long.

The BTG has 100,000 ICO, so some people will benefit from it.

BTG trading is now live in Bittrex, as of now the price is around 290$ per BTG. Lucky for those people who have accumulated enough BTC before.

the only thing wrong with bitcoin gold is its premine which has been 200,000 bitcoin gold tokens from 16,000 blocks that they premined.
if you consider "premine" as a scam then yes BTG and 80% of the altcoins are scams including big ones such as ethereum which had 72 million premined coins.

as for exchanges disabling their wallets you need to ask them why they did that. i think there may be some issue with the network although i can't find anything on it.

It is not scam to me but I think I never buy it this is because it is just a advanced version of bitcoin according to the them but I do not think bitcoin is bad.

If it's not Bitcoin but was Bitcoin at some point in time, it's a scam.

It's not a scam coin, is a useless coin with poor team who dreams to get rich with BTG system. You need to understand this because their plan is just useless too. Really stay away from it.

I'll HODL it for a couple of month, maybe check mining pools and stuff. It seems it has no future, but who knows...

I don't think is a full scam coin. But its just another altcoins so we all know what's the purpose of it, those people behind will just pump it hard and then dump it later. It will still lived though but it will not enjoy the support for most members here, it will enjoy some moments, but it will lived under the shadow of bitcoin so I'm not going to invest on it because personally, I don't see any bright future ahead of btg.

It is not scam, but it should not be supported. BTC will be a lot to foreclose and make money for free.

There's been a major lack of transparency with BTG that makes it hard to definitively say that it's not a scam. Wish I had caught it as soon as it started trading on Bittrex when some lucky people shipped it almost 1:1 for BTC, cause I don't really want to hold it.
