i have 2 questions :
1. can i delete my older posts ?
2. and if it possible to delete older posts how about the rank if there are many posts that i delete ?

One: Yes, you can delete older posts (as long as they're not in auctions and staff wont delete them for you)
Two: It is possible you could lose rank if you delete all the posts you made in an activity period.

Yes actually you can delete your posts or even edit it if you just want to change something.

Deleting your post actually doesn't neccesarry means you will decrease in rank. It depends on how the activities were accumulated from the posts. If you had extra post then it might be counted as activity in replace with the post that are going to be deleted. Also, even if you deleted oists and decreases the activities, your rank wont change unless the activity did not go below the required amount of activities for your current certain rank.

I didn't realise that you could edit old posts. That must be a nightmare for the moderators. :)

How do the search engines handle an old modified thread. Do they ignore it unless there is a new posting?

1- yes you can delete your previous or older posts anytime.
2- definitly if you delete your older posts it will decrease your activity. and if you have deleted more older posts then definitly you may have the chance to lower your rank .

Either way my posts keep on getting deleted and I don't know why. It's really disturbing because I feel like I'm doing something wrong or I crossed lines which I shouldn't have.

Yes, you do. You posted in nonsensical threads or (as what Joel_Jantsen called it) spam megathreads. This type of thread is nuked by the moderators. Another possibility, your posts are off topic, no importance, not constructive, low quality or, in other words, it doesn't contribute anything to foster a healthy discussion. Improve your posts' quality.

I am also deleting my older post, but only those post like applying on etc. campaign, applying for translation, etc., but I still haven't delete some, the new one I guess. And also, to help moderators clean up the forum.  ;D
And for my own sake!

But by deleting your posts, your activity will plummet that may result to your account's rank to fall. Better report those posts with the right description which the mods can delete it for you without messing up your activity (as long as you have enough posts to cover all of your activities).

For me it's the right thing, that's why I did it. It is the only way I can contribute to the community.  :)

Iam new here and I didn't know that. But jst tell me why do you have a need to delete your old posts and that much that your rank is going to be hacked? Don't try to make your profile history as ideal, we all beginned from something.

It isn't really a nightmare since the site keeps the logs and admins could check it (mods can't)

For the search engine, nice question. Afaik, archives' websites could keep an archived version of the posts so emm well it could helps.
