Would you guys do it? As a followup to the above question, what other Alt Coins do you guys own?

I would only buy them for the short term from a trading perspective if I thought I could make money on them, that applies to just about any alt.  From an ideological level they're both garbage clones meant to ride BTC's popularity and leech from it's success.

Not really. Im tired of seeing Bcrash taking hashrate out of the real Bitcoin that could be used to get the actual blockchain with higher security. Roger Ver is a damn scammer investing so much money into trapping noobs with this shitcoin by pumping it and investing on marketing.

BGold... I don't really care. They use another hashing algorithm.

I wouldn't gamble with any of them. I guess BCash will pump eventually but I would hate to be contributing to Roger's pump n dump.

I have ~5 BTC. So I got 5 Bitcoin Cash + 5 Bitcoin Gold.

I sold all my Bitcoin cash month after I got it. Which turned out to a be a mistake, as it went up by 300%. I simply don't see any value behind Bitcoin Cash, but obviously other people have a different idea. I didn't sell my Bitcoin Gold yet, but I will.

I would buy bitcoin cash. Bitcoin gold team is too slow and they dont have promising projects. I am waiting a new attack from bitcoin cash.

Wow. Looks like you have a shit ton of different types of coins. Where did you sell your Bitcoin Cash? And if you wanted to sell any of those coins would they be easy to get rid of? Nothing worse than selling something no one wants.

I didn't buy Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin Gold. I got Bitcoin Cash after fork, I immediately dumped them on the market. I wanted to do same thing for Bitcoin Gold but because there's no real wallet for it, my exchange decline to give Bitcoin Gold for my Bitcoin. If I'd have them I dump it on the market too. I don't think you should buy them with your money.

I like your portfolio. Also thank for pointing out coinparator. I own different coins and it will be easier to keep track of things since multiple exchanges are involved.

To answer the original question, I will only invest in bitcoin and not in bitcoin cash or gold.

I will not buy both. I don't like the team behind those two coins. they are the same people. They are attackers to bitcoin. If you want to buy , ETH, Bitcoin or Minexcoin. Yes, Minexcoin use bitcoin coding but with some features. It is listed in livecoin. The price is now 12.41 USD. You can also mine minexcoin with your PC.

BTG and BCH are just riding the coat tails of BTC. I am selling my others but holding onto my Bitcoin.

Why buy those when you can hold bitcoin and get all the forks.

I would prefer to buy the Bitcoin Gold as well right now, Why ?
Look at the first pattern of Bitcoin Cash, it has a very low price, so i think, Bitcoin Gold will also have the same pattern as bitcoin cash, wait for 3 or 4 months, because its volatile market would make it happen for long term

I'll buy them too for short term. I will be holding some ICO's that I believe have a great potential. I own a lot of ATS, CTX, CTR, Herocoin, DRT. I plan for the long term so I want to invest on ICO's and wait until they reach a decent value.

For short profit i can,but it is not a long term investment.generally developer make bitcoin clone with some change to earn money and nothing else.there is no solid project behind it.but you look investment short term profit it is good.

I've owned so many kinds of altcoins. I would never try to buy such fork coin just like bitcoin cash or bitcoin gold because both were not having the value just like the bitcoin itself. As you are talking about that. The bitcoin cash and gold were pegged to the bitcoin on the its price. Bitcoin is only the real bitcoin.

Yes i have bought some bitcoin cash under $300 before sold them above $1000 in last pump but now not going to buy it above $500. I will never buy bitcoingold and might buy bitcoin cash on next dump to just make quick profit on next hype.

I was planning to mine bitcoin gold rather than buying it, bitcoin gold seems to have a future and i think the devs have resolve the issue that face earlier.
Currently i dont have any alt coins right now im too busy and focus in trading bitcoin in the market.

if for trading yes, I do it but not with long investment. there are some altcoins that interest me more for investment than bch or btg. very vulnerable to btg when at the pump and now fall again, too risky in my opinion. so I prefer on another altcoin.

These 2 altcoins from Bitcoin core forks sole purpose is for trading only where the whales are behind this movement. For real world application aside from trading, these 2 altcoins has no any other usage. Buying this 2 coins also gives a benefit from trading and investment point of view. BitcoinCash has greater value than BitcoinBold but investing this 2 coins doesn't mean we lose money.

I never buy bitcoin gold or bitcoin cash. I get both from bitcoin fork airdrops. I'm not interested on both so I just sold quickly to btc. altcoin I just hold ethereum for now. and some altcoins in exchanges.

Bitcoin Gold is not really good for invest, that only my though, you can choose what to invest. I prefer Bitcoin more because of it growing in last few months, it is the best coin to invest now.  :D

I won't buy bitcoincash or gold but i should have some because i hold some bitcoin when the fork happened. I still have my bitcoincash in the exchange and i will keep holding it incase it pump again later. For bitcoin gold i don't have a lot of expectation because there's not even a wallet yet.

i buy BCH and BTG for the same reason i buy ETH, LTC, Doge, XRP and lots of other altcoins. they are always a good source of income or in other words when you look to make more bitcoin, then using these altcoins is the best way of doing so if you know how to work the market.
every single one of these coins gets pumped and dumped, if you can catch the pump part only and stay clear of the dumping part them you can make a lot of money. i just saw bitcoin cash go to 0.5BTC on yobit and BTG go to 0.2BTC there. these are huge profits you can't miss.

I don't buy bitcoin cash or gold but if you want you can invest on bitcoin cash because it is making little progress in the price everyday but never on bitcoin gold because the bitcoin gold price is going down everyday maybe soon BTG will become worthless.But the best altcoin to invest are ETH and litecoin these coin give good profits in the long term investment.

Basically on that, I prefer buying Bitcoin Cash not for Bitcoin Gold, for me it's not worth to buy Bitcoin Gold and I never make an investing in Bitcoin Gold. My goal to buy Bitcoin Cash, it's for short term investment, I've done in the previous time, and well I got satisfactory results.. I take advantage/sell it when the price is located at altitude throughout history on its price.
For the time being I am try investing some balances for a long term in Ethereum, & Ltc.

I wouldn't touch bitcoin gold with a long stick not to talk of buying! I do not like shady coin. Bitcoincash is no better either, they are both birds of the same feathers!

I would not buy coins such as BTG (very controversial and scammy ) and BCH ( has a flaw for they can 'recover' 'retrieve' coins with the aid of Miners), even if they can generate income and they are profitable, I won't still support it. I did not yet redeemed the BTG coins on my wallet because it is a trash coin.      

I only hold genuine coins, such as WAVES a good platform and a lot of ICOs are using that platform, they also have DEX which i already used and i am satisfied with the results, Still waiting for the future development of WAVES which may attract a large number of Investors. In my opinion, supporting this two coins ( BTG and BCH ) is just similar for betraying Bitcoin. You as a part of this community should protect and continue supporting Bitcoin and stap supporting crappy alts of BTC.

I definitely would, if there is a chance for making profits. I mean why not? BCH has obviously risen a last week and if you can pick your entry and exit prices right, combined with the extreme volatility of these coins, absolutely no reason why not to trade them.

However, i'm not long term hodling these coins.

I feel like these are just altcoins that have the name bitcoin in them, and honestly there are altcoins with better tech out there.

I think the only reason to buy bitcoin gold or cash would be to make a quick profit as holding them long term I don't think will have much value.

Personally, I now would not have bought bitcoin. Just because I do not have information that it will grow longer in the near future. I think that the law of the exchange will play, and a small recession is inevitable. I bought a little Ripple, OmiseGO. And also invested in some tokens

I am still buying bitcoin cash until now even if the price is not higher than last week because I only want to make money from the coins. and if I can make money from bitcoin cash then I will do it again and again. but I am not buying bitcoin gold since the coins is only available in yobit but if in next week or next month, bitcoin gold is available in bittrex or poloniex, I think I will buy it for trading and try to make profit from bitcoin gold.

I can buy Bitcoin Gold and bitcoin cash for investment to make profit as short term investment.They are poor copies of bitcoin. So I will rather keep bitcoin the original for long term investment .Bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash are too risky to hold for long.They are  coins used to pump and dump .

Just be careful on buying either one of them. Yes, they are a poor copies of bitcoin, however what worries me is how they can easily manipulate the price. And if you go with them, just be sure that you can exit on time otherwise you will just lose your investment. Would rather stick to bitcoin market myself, because it has already gain the trust of most investors and the price really speaks for itself. We don't need to create a lot of hype around it because people are really demanding for it.

And you said that the two coins (BCH & BTG) are just for pump and dump purposes, its true that's why you really need to stay out of it, if you don't know what P & D means.

Bitcoin Gold has already shown everybody the greatest jump, and all remember how strange the fact of Bitcoin Cash growth was. I would deal with Bitcoin Cash as I see it will stay in the limits of $1200-$1300 USD, and this gives some stability.

I don't know about the bitcoin gold, but I have seen a lot of bad comments about bitcoin cash so far. I don't think buying bitcoin gold or bitcoin cash.

I wont bother with BGold but i would risk investing in BCash due to its pump, its a risk but ultimately the crypto world is a risky world.

Yes it's all the whales game, common users can hardly get benefits from both of the BCH and BTG. People may get any benefit from BCH for trading point of view but the main benefit taker from BCH are the whales and the miners. Miners are earning too much nowadays from BCH. I consider bitcoin Gold as a useless coin. Though it is also generated through fork from bitcoin core just like BCH but it has no value in the crypto.
I am personally interested in trading BCH as it has the miners support at moment and it is quite good for trading.

I'm not interested on both so I'm not buy it. Bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold just dump pump coins I don't have time to observe all the time.

I have no idea who is buying bitcoin gold and why is he doing it. On the other side BCH scamcoin have a bunch of asian miners trying to push it. Even Bitmain Antominer S9 can be bought only for bitcoin cash :( . It doesn't make this coin legit but it gives a small chance that it could be sold for a good price.

i am thinking about buying some bitcoin gold tokens, there has been a nice pump recently, i think it will happen again, just waiting for the price to decrease a bit.

I would not risk buying these coins simply because I believe that it is too hard to guess what will happen with them since the market cap is lower than Bitcoin and therefore there markets are more volatile and unpredictable.

Yes of course they all worth buying for future purpose i case their market value will appreciate just the way Bitcoin Cash rose to  $2,000 some days back and for those who bought it when its value was less than $1000 must have made profit from their investment before the correction of its value. So also every one believe with time their value will appreciate and that them worth to buy. Some amount of ethereum for future purpose since ethereum value was $307 and now ethereum is above  $400

Don't buy just because you think price is going to go up especially if there have been recent pumps. Recent pumps only mean that the coin probably has some undeserved attention that will lead to a dump sooner or later.

I would personally never touch BTG or BCH, unless you are 100% certain that you're only going to be in it for the short term and you see some big news coming out.

Also, if you've got your BTG/BCH from the snapshot, that's fine too. But i wouldn't proactively go out and buy it.

I henya make investments in the short term with both coins I think I will have a big advantage because I see the two coins are crawling up.

I bought ether even People were telling lots of speculation about bch but I dint believe even I don’t . I think ether is the best crypto currency after bitcoin so my belief already raised 50% in US dollar when I bought price was around 300$ now it’s crossed 450$. Power ledger and centra I am holding . Looking forward with spectre.ai .

Between bitcoin gold or bitcoin cash, i would prefer to buy bitcoin cash because i think btcoin cash has a potential next to bitcoin. Buying bitcoin cash can also give profit since its price is also increase. But it's still best to buy bitcoin for much higher profit.

I think I will have to wait for Bitcoin Gold's value to touch the bottom before I will buy. I do not look at the project or the quality of the coin that much. I guess the path of Bitcoin Gold is predictable to a certain point right now since it is very new and the free Bitcoin Gold has been distributed already. There will be some huge dumping. That is good for the buyers because it will come very cheap.

 I would prefer to buy bcc. There are more chances that it will stay on line

If you asked me this question two weeks ago, I would answer you that I’d better avoid buying Both Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash. Now, when the trades of BTG showed a great success, I might deal with this currency rather than with BCC.

Cash COINS and gold COINS, I, of course, is to choose the currency cash, simply just a altcoin COINS gold, the long term without any value, instead of BCH has upset the BTC potential, BCH and BTC how who can't predict now.
