You are asking for the alt coins that has the potential next year. This isn't the right section for it, move this to altcoin discussion where we can discuss at proper place.

You're already a full member so I guess you already know how to move this topic to the right one.

And for the list that you had most of them does have the potential to increase in 2018. Don't forget about ETH too.

I know the topic if of altcoins,but I felt it is apt to be in this section as I think the subject of discussion is about  'speculation'

@bestbiz9. I see that you have Monero in your list. I would then like to recommend that you start doing your research on Aeon. Smooth as you know is part of the XMR development team and has done a lot to make the coin's anonymity one of the best in the cryptospace. If you do not know, he is also the lead developer of Aeon.

In any case, Aeon will have a code rebase on 2018 with minor differences from Monero, like mobile friendliness, faster confirmation times and a lighter version of XMR's blockchain.

i would buy those coins when bitcoin hit 10k and they dive in value in December. ;)

I agree with NEO, Stratis, Monero, Ripple, and Litecoin. These coins sure have a lot of potential in it.
But maybe you should adding new altcoins also, such as, well let's say electroneum, crypterium, pikciochain, etc. There are lots of potential altcoins either it's new ones or old ones.

The majority of the coins that you include in your list will definitely make good upward movements in the year 2018. Let me specifically mention that I think are very good coins. I personally choose Ripple, IOTA, Monero, Stratis, Lisk, OmiseGo, Civic, and Siacoin. I would also like to add some BAT, Ethereum, Waves, Ethereum Classic, and AdEx. I know the early part of next year will be very vital to these coins. Hoping that they will fly earlier.

Neo, Litecoin, BCH they are my top list where i should invest. ETH could be the fourth.

Yes, both of you mentioned coin have very good solid potential in the market. Very soon lot other potential coins will also add into the list. Like INS, Hacken, neuromation, dmarket, indahash etc. Let's we can discuss more details about them in next quarter.

I'll go for Authorhip (ATS) because of their unique project though the bounty program didn't end up well. I will also go for SIA for long term as I believe it's a good project though they are still a small team. Once they get the resources then it could explode.

its a good list of altcoin and i think each of coins have potential to increase in 2018. gladly i still hodl neo, dash, monero, litecoin, sia, golem, ripple and for the last three coins, i have big amount for each coins. i still waiting the next increasing of the price so i can sell it to make profit. but don't forget with ethereum because this coin have huge potential to increase in next year.

actually I want to propose Spectre.ai as a potentially altcoin in 2018. but because I have to select the one on the list, and in that list there is no spectre.ai, so I will changing my choose as in at option listed.
I think altcoin yag have potential in 2018 on the list is NEO (this is what was formerly called antshare, right?)

I am holding on to Unikoin Gold as well. But things aren't looking so good there.

the coin coins will certainly be able to go up in 2018 and I'm also confident of adding ad coins again in addition to the above list of coins. we have to wait for 2018 to see a list of successful coins will increase again.

Include in your list Spectre.ai! The ICO is already successful and there are clear indication of  accomplished their plan. Their product us already working snd their ICO is drawing to a close with a bang! Spectre is the token for this month and 2018 .

Most of these will have an upward movement for sure. I read an article a few days ago and it mentioned Mike Novogratz, the billionaire hedge fund investor and former executive at Fortress, believes Ether, the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum, is poised to achieve new all-time highs in the short-term. That's just Ether, it's possible that most Altcoins will rise.

All of these have potential to rise, especially in the next year.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong revealed earlier this week that $10 billion in institutional money is awaiting to be invested into the cryptocurrency space, after launching Coinbase Custody, a cryptocurrency custodian platform for institutional and retail investors.
Most institutional investors are planning to invest in bitcoin by the end of 2017, upon the launch of CME’s bitcoin futures exchange. Man Group for instance, the $95 billion hedge fund, announced its finalized plans to invest in bitcoin.
As tens of billions of dollars in institutional money shift from the traditional finance sector to bitcoin in the upcoming weeks, Ether, as the second largest cryptocurrency in the market, will benefit from the increase in interest of institutional investors towards the cryptocurrency market.

LOL ethconnect was a ponzi coin just like bitconnect. Those are throwing their money in that shit project was very dump person. No one believe on the ponzi scheme in this day. UK shutdown bitconnect and what next? Ethconnect developer should be arrested due to run a ponzi scheme.

I have deliberately not included recent ICOs and scam/ponzi coins which have flooded into the market just to cash in the boom
They may be growing multiple times,but will bust soon as they don't have proper plan or vision.Will update the OP with final list of top 10 coins after more comments,suggestions and further research

There are over 1300 altcoin at this time and the most accurate choice will be profitable. I think people tend to choose new altcoins because they have better ecosystems than the original altcoin. By 2018 altcoin I think is most valuable as NEO because this is altcoin entirely potential

I think there are a lot of altcoins that have huge potential but I recommend Expanse because of the great benefits that it can give to us.

Now it's hard to say who will succeed. Some coins on your list can really show good results and some I have too because I believe that they will increase in price. But how will actually no one knows. Maybe even that of the new altcoins that now cost less than 1 dollar will be successful(I also have them). And from your list I like Dash, Monero, OmiseGo

Well i have some opinions about your list of the alternative coins why you don't add ethereum on the list? I think it is good digital coin because Ethereum is a public blockchain-based distributed computing platform, featuring smart contract functionality. And many products ICOs are built on ethereum's platform, ethereum can used for payment gateway, participate on ICOs and in the future can be used for dapps decentralize application to enterprise, but it is just my opinions and not advice investment.

It is also very risky to start believing that some of altcoins will go to the Moon and invest only into them. As for me, I am sure the first fifth of leaders, including Ethereum, Ripple, Dash and Litecoin will survive and go on growing in 2018.

IPFS, which is an innovative and disruptive coin, deserves a close look, as well as ACT, this coin is also a potential, CVC is a good application currency, it is worth attention

You have forgotten to mention Byteball. I think Byteball will be one of the huge players as soon as people realise the wonders of the DAG technology.

This is a very simple question just take top 10 from coinmarketcap and then invest your money in them.
For sure you will get more then %50 in a year. This is my simple and powerfull investment strategy.

Your list seems quite large imo, but my hopes are with Ripple, NEO and EOS.

Since you didn't add it to your list, i also have high hopes for Ethereum!

RIPPLE (XRP), DASH (DSH), ETHEREUM (ETH) thats is what i think will growth up at next year. i see from track records months ago, thats coins have potential to get profit at 2018

You have a good list, I hold most of these coins. Particular preference is given to NEO, Civic, Strat and Litecoin.

I do not agree with you about ripple because the coin is a very stable coin

All alternate tokens are worth investing in because their prices can fluctuate or change in a nick of time. I am currently holding at least 6 altcoins which i believe has a bright future. One of them is Electroneum which i believe will be really successful because of their hardwork. Aureus is also one of them in which i think their bitcoin reserve will be useful in times they need to control the flow of income they are getting

All the coins you mentioned are pretty much established and have significant market cap, each of them have significant roadmap and strong team backing their developments, and don't forget our lovely ETH that is worth much more than $400! With such a huge list basically is just like telling everyone cryptocurrency is generally profitable, i would like to add any exchange projects or those which are more relevant with improving our daily life, those focusing on monetary transactions, social media and energy seems good to go for me.

Appealing to me is the upcoming ICO of Amor that starts on 2nd December (I know you asked for 2018). It will become a tinder-like network for dating, only with verified profile through the blockchain. I think this has potential because the dating market is so centralised by these corporations, so a blockchain solution can be a game changer! Also dating other crypto enthusiasts would be real fun!

A great list, but it does not have those currencies that have not yet risen in price. For example, the high potential of DCR and WINGS

I will not speak now about those altcoins that have less capitalization now. I’ll stop at top alts that will be in power in 2018. These cryptos will be Ethereum, DASH, Ripple, Litecoin. This is my opinion!

I'm curious about what makes TenX to be on your list, and there is no mention to Monaco or Centra. All I know about all of these coins, is that they are associated with crypto debit cards, and I visited they sites, and other crypto cards companies out there, and they normally don't differ that much in terms of service offerings.

I'm actually planning to get access to one of these cards myself, and I keep hearing about TenX in other threads as well, saying they should grow a lot in the next year. Can anyone make a quick explanation on why tenX has so much more potencial than the other two I've mentioned (Monaco and Centra)? I will do my research of course, but I guess I decided to start here.

Since you mentioned Siacoin, i want to ask: Do anyone still believe that Siacoin can rise 2018? Any news about the project itself?

How about Viberate, TKN, Waves, and Aventus? Whether those coins have space for growing more next year? I'am watching closely Viberate and also AVT, in other side, I bought waves and waiting until q1 2018, waves still my first choice.
I have seen SC, STR, BTS, and NEM this year and sadly the prices is so undervalued than 6 months ago. Hopefully they can reach new ATH next year.

In my opinion, your list is way too general.

You're basically listing every single coin in the top 20 plus some coins in top 50.

I think that the coins that you should really look out for out of all of these is Iota, Monero, EOS and SC. Siacoin is probably the best coin out there for decentralized storage and no reason why it can't return to 150 sats or more by the end of next year. Iota is nearing a dollar per IOT and that can go way over the current price next year as well.

for me the coins that have great potential in 2018 are just eth. but it seems ripple also has good potential because ripple always has a large volume and can survive.

Dash just hit a new All Time High.  $609!  higher market cap than litecoin. Paid masternodes. Paid code development. Paid PR. right from the blockchain. Governance issue solved.

Undoubtedly ether it’s already raising now crossed 450$ soon it will reach 1000$ or above as I seen lots of people using ethereum even for transaction and payment another side lots of smart contracts are distributing using ethereum blockchain and it’s increasing.

In this very moment EMC2 is booming with impressive volumes in Bittrex. They are enacting a fork which will burn a lot of coins and will soon release their platfrom for contribution to science. That is an underdog getting the scene.

Next year is a very exciting year for altcoins. There are many altcoins today that are doing good in the market. And I think most of them will continue to do so next year. You have a very interesting list there but I must admit, I think some of the coins there will not do good next year like golem, storj, and civic. You should also include ethereum on your list. For me, coins that has a huge potential next year are ethereum, lite, dash, ripple, monero, and iota.
