i want to check if it is safe..

It is safe but there are several fake links that will send you to a fraudulent wallet that looks exactly like the real site so make sure you always check the URL before you provide your private key.  There's an option to log in with MetaMask which makes it safer but ---> always link to the site by typing out the URL directly and never follow unsolicited links to the wallet.

My etherwallet account was hacked. I created a new one  however I am still worried if it is still safe. I lost worth two ethereum token and I am so disappointed.

I think MyEtherWallet is  very safe wallet and easy to use, keep your privatekey in a safe place and keep it separate from your address wallet.

I feel safe, so far I have no problem with MEW. it's just that you have to be more careful of personal keys and phishing web.

It'll be safe if you keep your private key safe as well. But there is a fake MEW on the internet for now so you should pay attention at the website link before log into your wallet through your private key

As far as I know, they don't store your private keys so technically you are not storing your funds on their site, you are just using it for sending or receiving the ETH balance by producing private key every time.

While I was searching for MyEtherWallet on Google, I saw an advertisement by phishing page MyEtherWallett and if you are visiting that site and using your keys then your funds are lost forever so beware while wallet file containing private keys. MyEtherWallet is a safe place but there are chances of a desktop as well as web phishing on your side so precaution is a must.

yes mew have a strong privatekey so nothing to worry about the security of your tokens or coins but remember always take care of your privatekey do not share to the other people keep it to the safe to protect your investment, if you lost your privatekey your mew wallet can't open forever.

Yes it is but you have to make sure that you are using official url of the site and must check ssl certificate (green bar) of myetherwallet llc on address bar.

Also you have to remember password of your wallet and must save encrypted wallet file in safe place to access your wallet later on.

Well, so far my thought on MEW is quite safe and secure. Even though there are several "MEW lookalike" phising websites trying to send fake emails and scamming MEW users, but as long as you're not clicking those unknown links - you're at a safe place.

Plus, never ever give out your MEW private keys to anyone (except you're dying and want to pass your MEW account to a new trustee)

It's because of lacking security measurements of your wallet, you should always remember that private key or the keystore/.json file is not shareable and it's recommended that after you made the wallet on myetherwallet.com you should delete the keystore/.json file and save the private keys.
And having been lazy without checking the URL will result in hacking from the phisher all throughout the web, That's why you need to be cautious too.

Been using MEW for the last couple of months and so far I haven't experience any breach yet. I bookmark the site so that I won't be able to be phished in case I type it. And on the top center of MEW you will see a warning,

"WARNING: IF YOU CLICK A LINK to MEW from EMAIL, SLACK DM, or a FORUM, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR COINS STOLEN. Do not click.
Instead, install EAL or use MetaMask."

So it really depends on how you use your wallet. Never ever divulge your private key to anyone. And always be cautious on any website or link that you click.

So far i use myether wallet  it safe.  Only be aware to phising link when you generate your key.
I think i suggest to bookmark link to myether wallet and make sure always open wallet with that link.

I use MyEtherWallet in almost 7months and I don't see any problem to stored my token in that site this is easy to use and trusted my many bitcoiner all over the world so I think MEW is a safe place to stored your token but be careful because in this last few month many phising site that almost look a like by MEW don't ever give your private key to anyone like in any slack channel always check the url of the site.

so far i feel safe, there is no big problem i face on pur wallet. so I guess it's safe enough to keep all your tokens

If you have ethereum, myetherwallet is advisable to use to stored ethereum. And yes myetherwallet is very safe because before open or unlock your wallet you need to input your private key first.

I think MEW is one of the safest and most used wallet out there since you have full control of your wallet's private keys. And since MEW supports ERC-20 tokens, many people are using it because most of ICO's nowadays require a wallet which is etherium token standard.

I personally think that myetherwallet is secure and easy to use. The only time you can get scammed is by accessing a phishing domain other than myetherwallet.com, in order to avoid this you must always double check if the domain is myetherwallet.com, don't access any other MEW other than this one. Its always wise to install meta mask extension on your browser, to ensure extra security measures.

I think that MEW is a safe place to store and use wallet. Just keep your MEW password and phrase safe from any hackers. Also look for fake links that can lead to fake site that is almost identical to the real one.

In my experience, Myetherwallet is a good altcoin wallet. Myetherwallet can stored many ERC20 altcoins here. I don't have any issues when i use this wallet. The only problem on myetherwallet is there are so many phising sites on myetherwallet, so you must be careful and check it twice before login your wallet.

It is still safe if you are careful with your personal identification like the private key
I suggest you to have specific wallet to store your asset, which rarely used, and another wallet for airdrop, bounty, etc which contains not so much value

For me, myetherwallet is safe because it's secure and safe to use but when you do it you should save your private key or download it and do not delete it because your address can not be restored and if there is a token to your wallet it's just fine and do not let others know your private key in groups or chats and maybe your tokens will sell them.

My Eather Wallet is safe and easy to use but some protections or precaution are there to kept in mind. Never share your private key and seed any body other wise you lost your all the wallet balance. I also use MEW and it is very good.

Yes its a secure crypto currency wallet where no one can the information about the transaction done by the member

I'm still using myetherwallet and I feel it is very good if you do not reveal your private key. If you are attacked I think you should check your PC or you have been fooled by a phishing site to steal your information.

Myetherwallet is definitely a safe place to store your Ether and other ERC20 tokens. It supports an option to print paper wallet and import the private keys over other platforms such as Etherscan, ETHplorer, Etherdelta etc.. Although myetherwallet is safe you must beware of the phishing links that look almost the same to myetherwallet. Many people have lost their coins from the phishing page. Goto myetherwallet's official website and bookmark it to stay safe from other malicious links.

Yes its safe and secured wallet it can only be compromised if you login in an incorrect address instead of the legit site some are redirected to a look alike site called phising site you must double check the website addy (https://www.myetherwallet.com) to avoid hacking.  

my ether wallet is a great place to store coins. why i say like that? because my ether wallet is equipped with the required private key when accessing. without private key my ether wallet is very difficult to in access. but on the other hand, you have to keep your private key well, lest anyone know it.

Yes of course my ether wallet is safe to store your coins . Just be aware of the fake sites of ether wallet as there are many out there. Always check for LLC[US] at the end to be sure.

I think it is safe place to use  as wallet , it is depend on you ,keeping private key and Keystore / JSON File  is the most important thing is about using myetherwallet.

i feel it is safe as long as you protect your keystore file and your private keys, no other person but you should be able to access your account.

My experience says it is good to store your well-loved tokens. Just be observant because a lot of ill-minded people are just around ready to get your money through phishing sites. PS, if you would just love to check your balance, just use your address in logging/signning in to be safe.

yes , my etherwallet is actually the best wallet to store your eth and other tokens . I have been personally using it for a pretty long time and i have no complaints regarding it . Infact , the best part of it is that you can get your tokens of other altcoins as well .  You will get  a apper wallet and a private key along with the registration and in order to access that you just need to have your private key . Be sure , your private key is safe with you all the security matters with the key.

MEW is very safe us long us you keep your private key safe just beware of the fake website

Also, when accessing the website of MyEtherWallet, you should always verify and make sure that it is the right one and not some scam website that copies MyEtherWallet, because once you entered your MyEtherWallet details on those scam website, that's the time you could be hacked. MyEtherWallet is 100% legit your eth is very safe in that wallet, just always make sure that the link you enter in browser is right because theres many fake links, to avoid losses.

Yes, it is very safe and reliable to use. Also, it is the easiest, user-friendly wallet for ETH, ETC and all the tons of ERC-20 tokens out there!
Just be sure to check the URL (myetherwallet.com) is right. Also, beware of any email or PM which ask you to send infos about your myetherwallet account. Always remember myetherwallet is not connected to email or social media profiles, so myetherwallet devs never contact you!

I also use myetherwallet and I have not been hacked yet. But one of my friend was hacked and then he left using myetherwallet. He is using another wallet now. Many people don't suggest myetherwallet but I suggest. It is risky a little bit. But we people who are interested in bitcoin like risk.  :)

MyEtherWallet is a safe wallet for me. Its a user friendly, secured wallet. Just beware of some sites that looks like myetherwallet but in reality, these are phishing sites so its better to be aware, be careful and don't give your "PRIVATE" key to others.

yes, it's safe because there's a safety key called so it's not just a hack or a steal for you but you can give it a private key.always remember the key. if you can not give it, lose it, that's the most important thing in your ether wallet

I really believe that Ethereum is compatible with Bitcoin, because when I observe ETH, its price increasing fast compared to other Alt coins.

everyone uses it,but you should be extra careful, there are plenty of phishing sites that can access your account once you input your private key, better to have trezor.

it is safe enough for me but it depend on the people, don't ever try to click on phising link, be careful about virus and save private key safely, at least that is what i do now

The rate at which people are complaining about myetherwallet being compromised is too high. So I do not see it as a safe place for keeping your coins especially for a long time.

People who's complaining about this are those lazy people imagine too many people got hacked with their MEW wallet from script kiddies with their phishing links because of being too lazy that they can't even double check the link/URL of the browser if it's the real or not. And private keys or recovery seed are not shareable. Stop using cryptocurrency/Bitcoin if you don't know how to secured your wallets by yourself, thats the main logic here.

MyEtherWallet is safe to use yes.

When you make a wallet on there you get your own address and get your own private key.

The private key is used to access your funds. Watch out for other websites that try to look like MyEtherWallet. Some websites have a very similar name like MyEtlerWallet or MyEtherWalet or whatever. They will steal your funds if you accidentally go to their site and put in your private key.

Additionally, you can have a backup made and import your MyEtherWallet into any other ETH wallet if you want to. Though you need to be careful as not all wallets support ERC20 tokens. My Ether Wallet supports all ERC20 tokens.

Make sure you keep backups of your private key. Keep a written or printed copy in a safe.

MyEtherwallet is a really good wallet. You hold the private key and the files so you can only have access to them its not like a online wallet like blockchain, because they hold your keys and stuff.

Many people are also using this wallet so you would think that it would be safe and it is.

If you don't want to hassle with your private key, you can use MyEtherWallet directly with Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. You can store your private key safely on the device, no need to enter it anywhere on the site. Your private key won't get transferred to your computer from the device, every process that needs the private key runs on the hardware wallet (signing transactions, etc.) and this is really safe. You can use it even on a compromised PC if you double check the destination address on the screen of the hardware wallet (in order to prevent clipboard viruses to change your destination address to their own address). If you plan to get yourself involved in the cryptocurrency world, hardware wallet is not a big expense compared to the safety it can provide.
