Why should you not invest in bitcoins, cryptocurrencies?
Is there any valid reason to stay away from cryptocurrencies?
I think it is good to have some discussion here for our kind information.

He will make me super wealthy that I cannot control everything. So better not to buy

I think you should understand about bitcoin and crypto, then you will understand and know speculation about investment or trade. it is a matter of what you think, what you plan and what you want to get. that way you learn and examine every possible possibility that can benefit. so I guess if you are interested and want to be involved, fill your life with knowledge.

because when coin lost it’s value ,you lost your money



many only take your risk (government ban , Scam ICO , coins crash)

I thought you came here to list all the reasons why we should not buy bitcoin with your title and I was so ready to hit you back. ;D
If you are happy with the way the traditional banking system has been working, the way you have been enslaved all these while, do not value your financial freedom and you are scared to take a little volatility risk, then bitcoin is obviously not for you.
I guess I just listed the reasons you should buy after all. Anyone who is looking for reasons not to buy bitcoin in the first place rather than looking for all the benefits blockchain technology brought with it, then they had rather just stay away.

Like other businesses,bitcoin has its own risk which is price dropping drastically or having your money stolen, apart from these two reasons bitcoin is a nice investment.

If they do not highlight the multitude of red-flags give off by crypto / Bitcoin then they are not reputable.
What is a good investment ?
Something that might provide a good or service that is needed and wanted and has a potential for growth and potentially stimulates the economy or creates jobs etc.
A stock for a food item that supports farmers or an electronics company who makes devices may be a good example.

The Winklevoss twins invested in Bitcoin.
But they were rich and took unreasonable risks they could handle.
It doesn't mean everyone should.

Ponzi / Pyramid scheme bubbles are not good investments.. such as the infamous Multi Level Marketing coin scam called LEO Coin ..or the endless stream of others like *ANY* ICO ever made.

You don't need to be smart.
You just need to act on it.
A small child can tell what is sketchy vs something legit.
You all know better but are lured in by greed.

This statement is pretty much spot on in my opinion. Cryptocurrency as a whole have lots to offer and if people want to live their lives as it is, like working multiple jobs but salary still not enough to get by then they really should steer away from btc and any other crypto. As for me, they only reason why I shouldn't buy bitcoins is because there are ways to get it for free. I can offer online jobs and ask for btc as payment which are really possible nowadays especially if you have the skills needed to do online jobs.

The reason I currently do not buy bitcoin, because I do not really understand investment in the world of crypto gan, I am more interested in joining any project in this forum, in addition I also learn how with the development of bitcoin. , rather difficult to predict the market price, my mental has not been strong :)

yeah, there can be many reasons for it. like if you are scared and can not make up your mind and also if you are incapable of investing what you can afford to lose. some people have to invest big!!! but some adults are capable of controlling themselves and they can manage their money. they simply invest a small amount of money like 100 dollars and buy half a bitcoin in 2014 and then think of that 100 bucks as a money they spent on something. then they come back in 3 year sand see that 100 dollar is now worth $5,000

another reason I can think of is if you are too lazy to learn a new technology, learn about bitcoin that is. or if you are incapable of learning about it. then you shouldn't invest in it.

If you are looking to invest only time and your brain, then there is no reason not to do so in crytpo-currency.
If you are looking to invest money as of now, you shouldn't because its at ATH (All time high) right now. All that the current buyers are doing is increasing the profits for the early adopters who got them in the hundreds and thousands for dirt-cheap prices, while you'll have to blow through 2-3 weeks'salary to buy a fraction of it now! This is completely favored to those at the top and such an investment is a typical MLM, Ponzi scheme. These are just the sensible reason why you shouldn't invest right now.

What you should invest is probably your time to earn BTC online by working for it. You should also put in the time to be a part of the conversation, maybe try your hand at mining with some cheap gear.

Actually, investing in Bitcoin is what I want to do. The reason why i did not invest, since i started and i did not have the money to invest in Bitcoin.

This question can be answered according to your attitude towards this new kind of investment scheme. It’s risky and if your afraid of losing then cryptocurrency is not for you. You can stay away if you don’t believe it, so take time to learn and if it’s not worth of trying then that’s fair enough. This is for the strong and positive minded individuals.

if that person cannot accept new technologies and only worried about being a scam then he doesn't have to invest in cryptocurrencies and other investing programs. the decisions to join or not in cryptocurrencies is different and we don't know what is their reason. but for me, why should I am not invested in bitcoin/cryptocurrencies if bitcoin/cryptocurrencies can help me to earn some money for everyday.

Bitcoin as a digital currency has evolved overtime and it's awareness and acceptance have actually increased, as compared to the way it was before. The only reason why someone should not invest in it now is ignorance, because the prospect of the currency, is on a positive side.

I think we all want to have bitcoin but the main reason that is why we do not buy bitcoin is the limited budget for many people specially for now its too expensive, that is why i only looking to earn bitcoin for free or i offer my service to make bitcoin.

Also the reason of some people are they are not risk taker they do not like to invest their money online because they would not be anonymous in their investments.

This is true if you bought at very low prices. But if you buy now chances are also taht price will drop and not recover in a reasonable time and that you panick sell with a heavy loss. buy only if are strong hand and can hodl for years.

Patience would be a key point if you intend on profiteering off of Bitcoin.. or other "coins".
The reality is few have it.
Which is precisely how the rich guys get richer from this stuff.
They can sell you garbage then wait you out.. until you dump.

BTC is a subject to hacking, cracking and govt sniffing around to regulate them. Right now they are not mature enough for that to happen, but its my only fear for assets in the digital space. In fact if that was to happen, you would see significant and sudden crashes in price on the exchanges if this freedom gets taken away. Again the govt like to strike while the iron is hot, and dip in the pocket of almost every living thing that is making money!.

There is no reason to not invest in bitcoin.although the increasing number of bitcoin users is not always good, it makes the price is rise and rise, it makes poor people unable to buy bitcoin also the transaction fee will getting higher and higher.but don't miss your chance to get profit from bitcoin.

This is honestly not the place to ask why you shouldn't buy. You're going against the basic principle of 99% of the forum population, which is buy and HODL. I'll try to come up with answers though.

If you are not a risk taker and can't afford to lose anything then you shouldn't buy Bitcoins. We all know how risky it is so if you can't take it better stay away from it and to the crypto world. For me, this is just for adventurous people who want to take the rollercoaster ride of Bitcoin. I think that would be the only reason I can share since I'm very positive about it to the point that I can't think anymore any negatives or disadvantages of Bitcoin even though technically Bitcoin really had.

Investment in bitcoin involves risk and if you are not a risk taker then bitcoin is not the best place for you to invest your money as no one can predict what price it will hold in future and if price crashes then you will be loosing all your money but that is very hard to happen as bitcoin's price is increasing now and it will be more higher in next few years so I don't see any reason in not buying bitcoins as it can give you huge profits in future if you start buying it now.

Why not? Investments in bitcoin make it possible to get a good profit. But do not forget about the risks

If you are really bad at taking risks and exploring new innovative things, then you should get away from investing to cryptocurrencies but instead you can d o bounties and campaigns, at least the risk wasn't as effective as giving out your hard-earned money for a thing that you don't know how it works.

I can give you tons of reasons why you should start buying Bitcoin,
in the same time I can't find any reason that should stop you from doing so.
I think people don't buy just because they are afraid and do not trust digital currency.
Another reason I can think of, is the lack of knowledge and the ability to deal with new technologies.

Maybe my enthusiasm make me think that way and prevent me to see the negative sides of Bitcoin "if there are any"

If you can't handle the fluctuation in value, do not buy bitcoin.  You will loose sleep and might have anxiety attack.
Investing in bitcoin has a higher risk than any other financial investment.  Also, as per my experience, this investments needs constant monitoring. 
Although, as you can see the value of bitcoin now compared to the beginning of the 2017 is very encouraging.

One of the main reason for not investing in bitcoins may be due to not ready for accepting new innovative technologies and just feeling comfort to stay along with traditional systems.Also if you don't have risk bearing attitude,it would be much better to stay away from crypto currencies.

Currently, I think investing in bitcoin is more profitable than investing in other altcoins. The reason is that a lot of people like to invest more in bitcoin, because it's too strong and it have a high potential compared to other cryptocurrencies, Also, i don't think that someone will hear about any other crypto before hearing about bitcoin, so this is why people like bitcoin.

more precisely I say not yet time to invest in bitcoin. because I still have to raise capital, especially today the bitcoin price is very expensive. and I do not have the cash to buy bitcoin. my principle is to accumulate capital a little bit to buy bitcoin.

The only valid reason to do not invest on it is if the market is really compromised.
But hence we'r not able to corrobarate that, you should just invest what you can afford to lose and that's it.
Instead of going all in into something you can't really known the out come, the best is to invest a perfectange of the current assets.

If you are living paycheck to paycheck, now is not a good time wait until you are in a better position, when you can start with a hundred put it aside, maybe even twenty five, put it aside...the start investing, but do this if it creates a problem for your family. I did this very thing when I started saving back a long time ago.

Why NOT invest? Many reasons exist, I'll mention just a few. Not tangible, no intrinsic value. Requires knowledge and equipment to use or redeem. You can't physically hold your BTC (but you can digitally hodl it), eat it, or smoke it.   :'(

The first valid reason to stay away is if you are living paycheck to paycheck, or have no job or income. For these people it's like buying a lottery ticket.  Some people will need to spend or redeem it to pay living expenses. That may prove difficult especially with existing family and financial obligations.

Some investors will lose money and others will be bankrupted by cryptocurrencies. They will hit the wrong key or forget their password or get scammed. They will try to trade these markets and get whipsawed by greed and fear. They will try to pick an altcoin or ICO in hopes it will match the performance of BTC.
 

Keep buying it then, and tell everyone you meet to buy some, too. In a few years it might pay off.

It has proven many times by buying bitcoins we can make and earn more money. Yes there is no such reasons we shouldnt buy bitcoin. Even buying now its not too late invest in bitcoin and make rich.

I think you should understand about bitcoins and cryptography, then you will understand and learn about speculation in investment or trade. It's a matter of what you think and what you plan. So you will learn and learn all the possibilities that can be of use. So I think if you are interested and want to be involved, you need to study this issue well. And of course it all depends on what your savings are...if you cheat on the salary, as was said above, then it's not profitable for you and is very risky

One solid reason why you shouldn't buy bitcoins is when you are already a millionaire and you have a fail-proof business and it has better gains than bitcoins. I doubt that everyone has that. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and the like might be the only that has that type of investment and obviously none of us are like that. Another reason why you shouldn't buy bitcoin is because you are that type of person that hates everything that goes mainstream. Some people on Facebook are throwing hate and shade to popular artists like Halsey just because it's "cool" to do so even though deep inside they enjoy Halsey's music. To show that you truly hate bitcoin, you are not going to invest on it just because. People think they are too cool to do things that the majority of people are doing. Bitcoin is a thing that have saved people from poverty and I am a living proof of that as well as my fellow bitcoin user friends.

Some people shouldn't invest in bitcoins because they are too dumb to understand economics. Some might not even be dumb, even worse, which is being closed-minded. They believe that doing time deposit in the bank is still the best way to increase your money when it only gives a couple of dollars for a huge amount of money. Nothing you can't make from that time being. Why should I'm not invested in bitcoin? Well, your wrong because I'm totally invested with bitcoin every month 25% of my salary do invest in bitcoin. You shouldn't buy bitcoins because the price of bitcoin is already high and it is on the point that the price might already reached the peak price for this year so if you will buy bitcoin now and then the market goes down then you will lose a lot of money from your investment and it is better to just keep your money and wait for the dips.

Some people are not interested to buy bitcoin as they think that it is not real at all. Some of other think it will be hacked and so many reasons for not buying bitcoin.

This is the lamest reason I heard so far for not buying bitcoin. Why it is not real? Did you heard about bitcoin exchange? It's where you can "exchange" your bitcoin to fiat. Bitcoin can't be hacked, its bitcoin wallet. And in case of your bitcoin wallet being hacked, its your fault if you didn't have put enough protection. (strong password, keep your private key safe, 2FA).


Its still not to late to buy bitcoin however, the price is really high today and just like you casuals investors, you need to wait for a dip and just buy in small portions and you wouldn't notice that you have accumulated it overtime. Glad though that you are able to supplement your income coming from your bitcoin earnings.


This is what I'm saying. You don't need to buy in bulk. A good strategy is to put aside funds to buy bitcoin. I have been watching people relating this word risk with investment in digital currency for a long period now but honestly, let's just see the reality.

All those people who invested in Bitcoin at early stage are surely rich elite guys now. If they would have considered it as a big risk, definitely most of them would not have invested in it. It was more risky years ago but now I trust it more and advise others to at least make small investments.

I don't see any reason to Stop Buying or Stop Investing in Bitcoin! I think there is no reason not to buy bitcoin. Unless you have a proper knowledge about it. I think there is only reason not to buy bitcoin, because it was banned in the country.

2. It may have been banned in your country.
3. You don't enough money to buy Bitcoin.
4. You're doubtful of its truthfulness and stability.

There are a a lot more explanations regarding this, I will try to give you one, Investing bitcoin is too risky, Thinking bitcoin can make someone rich or a give you profit in return, it's a NO! Just think of this nobody knows maybe tomorrow bitcoin will drop off! maybe next day, next month and so on. I am not discouraging in bitcoin investment or buying bitcoin, but if you  really love this, study, read and understanding is a must. One reason why shouldn't buy? It's is too risky. Invest what you can afford to lose.

The only problem of bitcoin is the fees but that is only minimal compared to what amount of money it has given to its investors. There is no reason why you shouldnt buy bitcoins. I suggest to buy more for this comming 2018.

Well I can give you reasons why you shouldn't buy bitcoins. Bitcoins fees is high right now and is increasing day by day. Its too risky to invest in bitcoin because of the unstable movement if you are scared for a high risk investment then better not to do bitcoin.

maybe the reason bitcoin too expensive for every people which want to buy 1 bitcoin but unfortunately, some of the new people don't know that we can buy bitcoin for some portion and we don't need to buy 1 bitcoin if we don't have money. but if they know about this, I am sure that they don't have any reason to buy bitcoin and they will buy bitcoin without thinking about anything. and if they are worried about the risk of the price that might be down at any time, then they need to learn more about bitcoin so they can have a solution to prevent this.

In my case, I dont invest my money in bitcoin. I just invest my effort to have a bitcoin. I dont used my pocket money too have bitcoin you know. I think the best reason is because there's a possibility that you will be get scam. Others say that insufficient knowledge but I don't think that is the best reason because you can make your own research for your bitcoin so that you will know all the process here just like what I did I'm reading all the articles here and reading some ideas on this forum.

You should not invest in Crypto currencies, if you have to use debt to fund the investment. Some people use credit cards or take loans to fund their Crypto investments and those people will crash & burn when something goes wrong.

You should also not invest if you think Crypto currencies are a "Get rich, quick scheme"

It will always be your choice.
They cannot tell you what to do but if you really believe in bitcoin then go for it.
Just a warning though. It is not for the weak heart.
You might panic anytime when you see a big dip just like what happened now and might lose a lot of money.

I think the number one most reason would be to not invest in bitcoin is because it is still unstable and very unsteady and can be volatile at times. it gives you high rewards but can also test you when it gives you almost a laughable return on your investment

The only reason would be it is a bubble and might burst. Put in simple terms, it is an investment with chance of very high gains in short period of time. Along with the chance of doubling or tripling your money, you are at a risk of losing most of it in case btc falls hard due to some news.

Not good to buy bitcoin if price  is high but definitely good when is its lowest.. But price of bitcoin now is fluctuating and have drastic dump sometimes but give fast pump too ..  so just keep in mind to be wise on investing... I think the RISK factor may you need to consider.
Nobody wants to loose there money but if you want to be profitable take the risk.

I like the crypto currencies for making the short term profit and want to buy again and again just for the sake of in touch with modern world there are many people who have told me to not use bitcoin not to buy it but i am not hearing them i love to hold bitcoin i am inspired from the increase in the  price of bitcoin. I think it depends on the plan and what you want. bitcoin can be a means of payment or investment on some ico projects that are being held. so all depends on needs and wants. I trade with bitcoin myself

I don't think there will be any general reasons for not investing in crypto, there can be many depending upon the investors.
Some would not buy because of the high volatility of the price, some would not buy because of the risks involved. And some would not buy because they just do not understand the lingo.
So everyone who is not investing, has their own valid reasons.

Cryptocurrencies are still very volatile, and so I would never recommend putting more into them than you can afford to lose.

I cannot think of a reason to not buy bitcoins or any other crypto currency it's just because without risk.. you cannot achieve anything also it's not like the value will drop down within a manner of seconds we can always see..
The only valid reason one can put up is the chances of gaining no profit and for the worse time the chances of being in a loss.
But everything just settled itself once you know how to handle it so it's really not that big of a factor you can even earn those few bitcoins if you don't wanna use up your own money.

I have invested my money in bitcoin, and i rely that if people know about bitcoin or other crypto currencies then sure they do invest on it. It is a easiest way to use your money and make profit. I have no valid reason to stay away from crypto currencies.   

The only reason i think that one should not bu bitcoins is because if the price drops or if something happened to bitcoin to end it, then you will have lost your money.

I don't think that we have any negative factor about bitcoin that can say that don't invest in bitcoin , here in my life without bitcoin to live it is about impossible now because my full earnings that I spend is from bitcoin .
But still I have a factor to not to have bitcoin investment , but for those countries where bitcoin is not legalised and may be any bad descion can be done by government of that country and may be that person who invested can sell bitcoin at low price and face big loss .

If you're thinking of a reason NOT to buy bitcoins, well, my reasons are the expensive cost per bitcoin and how much slow and expensive the transaction time and transaction fees are with bitcoins.
