Title: What happens if psu supplies power to a card that isn't running?
Post by: beachbummer on November 22, 2017, 06:55:09 AM
I was thinking  of using 1 psu to power gpus in 2 different rigs. Will there be any issues if 1 rig goes down but the psu still supplies power?

Nothing really. It just sits at idle until its told to do something.

If it was in a normal pc it would have constant power aswell. Mining rigs arent any different really.

sometimes it happens on my rig but not for a long time
usually 30 sec - 1 min - not more
everything is good.  but, just to be sure that they will not burn I would not advise it to leave if like that for a long time, just to be sure
