Making money is not about creating ANY coin, even if it carries the name "Bitcoin".

99% of the coins that exist are really crapcoins.

If the market does not adopt a coin because they believe in the project itself or its profitability it would be pointless.

Plus, if someone had to tell me that they have created "Bitcoin" I'd laugh my head off at them.

Just like I love to buy original Adidas or Nike staff and not the shit counterfeit products, I guess the market would never approve a counterfeit coin.

Plain wrong. Counterfeit goods are a major loss of revenue to the brand names - just as alt coins will seriously undermine the value of Bitcoin

If this is the hint from you that works, then why cant you make one? I have seen some scams that made alt tokens of same name but they caught. I don't think it would be easier to make such type of bullshit technics.

Even if what you are saying is true and anyone can create their altcoin and then start calling it 'bitcoin' then it won't make a difference because in reality it is not a real bitcoin.The newly created cryptocoin will be an altcoin because it is not adopted by people as much as bitcoin. :)

Even if you can clone the name 'Bitcoin' because no one has the trademark right. You'd still fail because it'll be obvious to investors that the project or altcoin has no vision. When you're dealing with investors in the financial sector, trust is an important resource. That the supposed altcoin is a clone is enough signal to investors that the people behind it don't really mean business.

Not comparable.  To the consumer, a counterfeit pair of Adidas shoes is just Adidas shoes but cheaper (and perhaps with a lower quality or slight alterations).

To a Bitcoin user, an altcoin claiming to be "Bitcoin" is simply lying.  It's like someone picking up a piece of paper, writing 1,000,000,000 USD on it and saying "this is worth 1 billion US dollars".

You know perfectly well that if someone is talking about 1 million BTC, they're talking about the correct chain, not something that was made up on the spot.

It doesn't matter what you call it. It will just be exactly the same as Bitcoin bit not Bitcoin because Bitcoin already has a value. It will still be Bitcoin and you will still have millions of it but it won't be the same Bitcoin it will run on another chain and be completely excluded from the current bitcoinchain. But I guess it would be nice to say you have a million Bitcoin and not be wrong about it. :) Or maybe you trying to say making altcoin is too easy.
