Title: Warning! Possible bug on Cryptsy, coins lost?? [FIXED]
Post by: de_xt on June 27, 2013, 10:46:32 PM
Hello there, I just wanted to warn you about a nasty bug on Cryptsy I just found, which made me lose some money. This must be fixed ASAP!!

I ordered a withdrawal request for 511 YAC I had in my wallet and just after pressing “Send withdrawal request” button the site went down due to the recent DDOS attacks.

But when it came back my coins were not in my wallet and the withdrawal request is not shown on the wallet History!!! And no confirmation email was sent to my inbox, either.

When I press the Audit button, the following info is shown:

Withdrawals
Date TrxId Amount

Notice there’s no Txid in the second transaction!!! so the transaction was not initiated but my coins are not there!

I hope they fix this nasty bug and give my coins back. I sent an email to support team but still got no response.

The sad part is, I sent these coins to sell them higher but because of this bug, even if they give my coins back I've lost the opportunity now, so I'm really annoyed. These stupid bugs really need to be worked out in an exchange pretending to be "pro".

Hmm Crypsy seems pretty buggy! Instead of accepting more coins so quick they could invest in security and stability.. Sorry for your loss and I hope they get you a refund or something.

Too bad it happened when YAC started to go up

why don't you try contacting them first instead of exposing the issue publicly?

Just like when you have an issue with a bank you don't run to the town square and shot I have a problem with the bank. You have to be an adult and goto the institution as they are most likely the ones that can directly help you.

It's not a bug, the withdrawal confirmation email was stuck in the mail queue - so you never completed the process.   It should have come through now and you will be able to complete the process.

BitJohn yours and Verns support are really GREAT, I can confirm that. You really try to resolve all the issues and be active on forum threads. That means so much for the users. But there is not a doubt that Cryptsy has nasty bugs... Deposit delays, slow refund after canceling orders, slow interface, vulnerable site, bigger deposit then sent (after that more then few accounts were in minus) etc.. I like Cryptsy, but you guys gotta be more stable in all areas..

I think people are just hypervigilant due to the number of exchanges that have suddenly closed or been broken in to.

We work every day to improve all services we still don't claim to be out of the BETA stage and look forward to improving in all the areas we fall short and keeping all of our customers as up to date as possible. Realize we are getting growth at about 10% per day while managing the new features and working out the old. Not to mention fighting the DDOS attacks. Thanks for everyone patience and support.

As an aside, it's not actually a trollbox at cryptsy. More like a crypto dead concert parking lot.

pa·tience

The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
Synonyms

Other than the DDOS issues (tough.. even Charles Schwab has been down for hours due to DDOS), Cryptsy has been extremely impressive.

I had some issues early but literally all of them were promptly resolved.  In addition, some minor improvements I suggested were implemented in hours.

Really an amazing site.  Vern is a darned good programmer

Of course I did. From my OP:

I hope they fix this nasty bug and give my coins back. I sent an email to support team but still got no response.

I finally got the confirmation email re-sent but it was a bug since I could not see and pending transaction in the withdrawal section, so I could not re-send email or cancel it.

Now it's fixed. Thanks a lot.

Had a same problem with withdrawal, and after reading this - figured that cryptsy asked for email confirmation.
It would be nice to have a warning/informative message on a withdrawal page.

Fucking love cryptsy. The withdrawal fee is small and transactions are fast. Good job.

Not, no fixed problem..

I open my orders were more than 2.5 BTC value. Once these orders revoked, is not the balance of my amount. The balance is almost zero at the moment BTC. How this happen?  How do happen to lose, after all the coin return line? Missing ~3 BTC and the support it does not give a shit! How can this be? How then can we trust in you? I am very angry. Maybe that's what I write is a large, public forums to learn from it and not to use the Cryptsy. This was not the first time he has been at other times more LTC disappeared from my account. The support will not do anything, and LTC proved that my balance is not good.

...
That was the last that I and my entire team traded here ... this is an unreliable points. I wrote the previous similar cases verify Letter to support that my balance is not good. Their answer was, but good. I would not call it Letter to support. Sorry, my English is bad.

-I want a full audit! Frtom the start..total trades..

thx.

You have me directly on skype? You just trying to get up support for your exchange by trolling the forums? We have gotten the majority of tickets down to a 24 hour response time so you saying your not getting any is odd to me you have a ticket number?

I finished the business with the Cryptsy. Me and my team go through a reliable transmission. Do not be surprised if no one will trust you. After that ...An unreliable, unstable exchange. The critical moment is useless. 30 minute delay shows the trade history (& sell orders/buy orders). ..totally unreliable.
