Title: Coingather Website giving cloudfare warnings and unable to connect
Post by: experteas2014 on November 23, 2017, 03:34:19 PM
I am having this problem with coingather since this morning. It is giving cloudfare warnings and unable to connect. No matter what you do the warnings dont go away and you cant connect.

Is it happening with any one else as well?

Please reply so that I know that I am not alone in this.

Tried accessing their site and same error appears. Based from an article of cloudflare, The problem lies on the website's server. What you can only do now is to wait until they fixed this but you can always send a support ticket here: https://coingather.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new.

I'm not sure with this but I've found some ANN thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720274.0. Maybe you can also PM op. Ignore it if he asks sensitive information e.g. password

Cloudflare's full article is here: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200171906-Error-522-Connection-timed-out

I also tried accessing their website with no success. It appears that the website's server has been causing the problem for it. With the website being unavailable, you can't even open a support ticket with them regarding the matter. I looked for another way to contact them and found out that they do have a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/CoinGather). Unfortunately, the last post that they have there was from Nov 20 and they haven't posted anything regarding the problem with their website. I don't want to scare people about it but this is not a good sign whatsoever.  :-\

You are not alone. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we lost our money :(
Still there's no message...

I wish more people were talking about this online.  I lost money here too,  but what annoys me the most is the seeming lack of indifference online about this.  Yes,  coingather was a small exchange,  but it's not OK for the owners to get away with this without backlash.  Whether it wad themselves walking away with the money,  or opening themselves to hacking, they should be held accountable.

Here is the info for the domain I looked it up on ICANN WHOIS registrar for the domain: https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=coingather.com
It has phone number that registered it, and Arizona Address, they don't give a name, because it was registered with a private registration, but gives plenty enough information, to find the dude.
It is best to lookup the person who registered the domain, this way, since it is the easiest.
Hope this Helps.  ;)

The phone number is for Domains by Proxy, which is the Identity protection company and not the person who reigstered the domain.

If anyone has been affected by this please email COINGATHER.COM@domainsbyproxy.com a complaint, saying the site took your money, and that you will bring legal action if necessary. Include your Coingather username and the approx value (in USD) that you lost. They need to start hearing from us all.

I am personally launching a dig campaign, so if anyone has information about the lads at CoinGather let me knw. Names, emails, phone numbers, ip addresses, twitter handles etc.

I also had some small altcoins in CoinGather (DIME, DOGE)

Not much

Bụt I think there might be some trouble or hacking activity

I do not think that The CoinGather 's Owner is a Scammer

CryptoCoins Market is now growing bigger and bigger day by day

And CoinGather is one of the long lasting Exchange with no problem so far

Thus it has a lot of chance to grow and earn great money in the coming time

So I don not think that they run a way with only some money of Customers and leave their decent bigger future

Hope there will be a good signal from CoinGather  :)
