Title: What is litecoin?
Post by: Raffy11 on November 24, 2017, 02:43:01 AM
So litecoin is Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world. It  is an open source, global payment network that is fully decentralized without any central authorities. Mathematics secures the network and empowers individuals to control their own finances. Litecoin features faster transaction confirmation times and improved storage efficiency than the leading math-based currency. With substantial industry support, trade volume and liquidity, Litecoin is a proven medium of commerce complementary to Bitcoin.

yes, litecoin is one of the currently evolving altcoins, I'm not sure if litecoins will be like ETHs being bitcoin partners, but that would happen if litecoin has a good market value and continues to benefit its users.

If Bitcoin is virtual gold, then Litecoin is virtual silver. At the moment, the altcoin is fairly stable, and at exchanges LTC  are easily convertible to BTC. Litecoin uses Scrypt as an algorithm for proving work, this algorithm works intensively with memory.

Looking from a broad perspective, Litecoin ia really a light version of bitcoin. As bitcoin is too big, litecoin is good to test somethings before implementing them into bitcoin

Is this your first contact with cryptocurrency? You've come to this BBS, don't even know what it is? This post does not seem to make any sense, and I suggest you go to the mainstream.

People, have you noticed that litecoin has increased a lot during  this year? Maybe it is one of the biggest altcoins that we had during this year.

I remember that each one of them was less than there dollars on January of this year, and now it is upto $85 each litecoin and nobody is talking about this coin. It seems that you all dont care about litecoin.

It is one of the best altcoins that i have on my portfolio, i bought most of them at $45, but i only have three of them, it is not a big amount of money, but yes, i have doubled that amount in less than four months because i bought them on August.

Litecoin was announced in 2011 with the goal of being the 'silver' to bitcoin's 'gold'.

Litecoin is the world’s first altcoin. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin also exists on the internet as digital money. But there are still fundamental differences between both currencies.
Litecoin is a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, but it is based on an entirely different protocol. It was conceived to act like pure digital money.

The official Litecoin site says:
Litecoin is a peer-to-peer Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world.
Litecoin is also open source, decentralized, and backed by cryptographic math to secure transactions.

Litecoin was not made to compete against Bitcoin, but instead to act as a complimentary payment solution alternative.
Think of Litecoin as the silver to Bitcoin’s gold.

Litecoin is essentially a lesser-known very similar coin to Bitcoin. Most people use Bitcoin, but Litecoin has risen to be worth almost $100 each which is crazy to think considering it was at $4.50 less than a year ago.

Litecoin is a shared digital currency and open source programming venture released under the MIT/X11 permit. Creation and exchange of coins depends on an open source cryptographic convention and isn't overseen by any focal specialist. While motivated by, and in many respects in fact about indistinguishable to Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin has some minor specialized contrasts contrasted with Bitcoin and other real cryptocurrency forms of money.
