I will not buy things in online games for real money. But in some games you can buy a premium account so that you can play more comfy. I'm glad that you can buy a premium in many games for in-game currency.

I once spent a dollar.. pointless, as for me

I used to spend but not too much. It's totally ok if you're an adult and don't have enough free time for playing so sometimes you just help your character to  get new equipment faster

It depends if it is worth it, but I it is much more satisfying if you will get the item by skill. Like defeating super hard boss or getting an achievement that no one else has done before.

I'm playing League of legends and you can still play the whole game without spending money. Then my answer is no. You can just earn skins for your champions and it just affects the visual but it is not making your champion stronger.

Well, if you like the game enough - why not? People still buy a lot of useless stuff and donating money to the game in exchange for more fun time in it is not that bad, and I haven't seen really big prices anywhere.

I don't know how many times my group and I would be like - yeh no way not buying anything in this game. You'd turn your back for 5 minutes and by the time you looked back someone was riding a fancy new mount... every time... next minute... whole groups got new coined mounts like pros.

In CS GO you can spend money on skins and then also sell them. Also you can win this skins playing it and then sell them for real money.
There are some of games like this, where you can win some items and then sell.

in every such game you can get anything just if you play regularly, if you don't then you can buy it

I will never waste my money in online games, it just game so I play it for entertain only.

I don`t actually spend my money just for online games because i think its not worth it, you can still have fun even without any money you invested to that game you play.

I always played P2W and pay for proper items but now that I am older and know the meaning of Money, I dont spend that much and I try not to play P2W games.

I don't spend money on in-game items. It just seems pointless. I play the games for the fun of them not to look cool. As another one of you sayed above, yes, buying premium in some games it's just better. Just spend the money on something wise not on something purely cosmetic.

If it helps you play or makes your ingame time more enjoyable then why not. I take spending money ingame as a donation to developers.

once I fork the money out to buy the initial game, I'm done spending money after that.  I dont buy any of the online money thngs, that's a trap to waste your fiat.

i played for few years in games with pay 2 play system nowdays i dont mind spending few dolars on shop on some skin or rng box tbh as long as its not total p2w trash

I have been playing online games for a long time but i do not spend money to buy items from the games i am playing. Now lots of onlines games needs money for the player to level up and for their items to upgrade. And most people nowadays spent a lot of money just to be strong in the games that they are playing online.

Many people spend money on it, but I do not see any sense in it.

I sometimes spend money on league of legends for skins that I really like. I spend more on online gambling though because I feel so excited while playing it and enjoy the theme it has every occasion that rolls up. I also sometimes earn some back but I pay more to be entertained.

I also play LoL! But I seldom spend money for champion skins because I am not that good in the game so it won't be embarrassing to play with a skin equipped. I am curious how do you spend money on online gambling? Do you top-up just like in LoL or what?

It is nice to find a fellow Summoner here. But don't be too bad to yourself I know you weren't that bad as you described. And also, there are a lot players who have expensive skins but the skills in the game is like a toddler. Spending money on online gambling (https://to.crwd.cr/cm) right now is more focus on the cryptocurrency spending and the rewards in those games are also cryptos so a wallet is a must if you want to play some.

To be honest I think it was great while I am playing but once you quit the game you would feel stupid.

I've always been a gamer and I used to spend money for my in-game items. And during those times, I'm unemployed and dependent to my parents and now that I'm employed, I can purchase every item that I want.

But now that I'm a family man, this is no longer a priority to me but I have games that are my type to purchase on steam.  ;D

I will rather not spend money on online game items,this is because it is not a wise investment to carry out.There are other things to purchase on line even Bitcoin can be purchased among others, what is the probability of getting the money you spend on online game back? and that is reason why  it will be more better to invest  my money than  to spend it on online game items.

I am a lover of online games but I would love to be a skilled and experienced in any game I play without having to pay even one cent to buy items, You may buy these items but you are not a professional and have no skill so these items will have no value with you, better to be a professional player and get these items by your skills and not by your money.

Spending money would not make any difference in enjoying the game for me.

This model has proven to be effective, the so called "free to play" games. Carefully balanced, it can be a hit, but do it wrong and you end in a "pay to win" scenario which will probably kill your game before you know it.

The basic idea is trading time with money. One group of players, have plenty of time but no money, the other group has money but no time (because they work, duh).

In this way you try to balance your game to cater both. Grind and farm for a chance to get the very same items that could be instantly bought.

It is bad when some things are restricted to pay only, unless absolutely cosmetic, it falls in the realm of "pay to win".


So the answer to your question would be yes, but only if the game is well balanced...

I use cash and buy games to use at home. Or for online games, with LOL games, FIFA, ... I used a large amount of money to buy costumes, vip, ...

years back when i was still a gamer?i buy items but i also sell,so in total i dont really spend my money because it came from the items i sell,what i only spending is my time and effort hunting exotic items and for leveling.

Each person chooses what to do and not to do. But I believe that it's not rational to spend money on entertainment if you can have fun for free (there are a lot of ways). In addition, I say so, because I believe that the development of personality is important. Games most often don't give this, unless this is of course a special game for developing logic, for example. If you not a smart gamer then why you need spend money in online game? Actually right have many people spend money in online game but their have lot of skills so first take yourself. In fact many free games have still you can playing with free so no need spend your money.

I have never spend money more than 1 dollar in games. Even if i like a lot the game. I believe if you want to become strong in that game. You must not use any money, you will use all your skills only. Spend time to learn and earn everything. There is no short cut for everything, so even if you are farming and grinding in that game. You are gaining some patience and skills.

why should i?when i can have them for free?not unless all the items on that game is cannot be acquire thru Hunting then i will never play that game lol.

when we play we are spending time and internet same as our gadgets so buying items is not necessary .IMO

Its not worth it spending money on online games. Since all online games nowadays doesnt last long, its either going offline or the owner of the game messes it up  ;D so spending is pointless  ;D

No, I never spent money on online game items and never wanted to. Because you play games like this or there are many games that you can play for free, even the premium eagles. I don't think you should spend money on playing games. You can open new accounts and play new games online at ease with free and premium time.

back in early 2000's when i was addicted to games,i am spending half of my monthly wages just to buy all the things i need for leveling my account ,including Sets and accessories.and all of the sudden after 9 years of playing that damn game shut down.

from that day forward?i stop playing games that need to spend money,all games i am playing now is free and don't need even single cent to enjoy.

What's the kicker is that a game goes F2P and those who paid for it are the suckers.

I will not buy online game because i have many free games like i keep enjoying when i have free time. I don't have lot of money so how i can spend for playing a games? So its not complement for me. :'(
