Title: Free electricity for mining
Post by: GeorgeEden on November 24, 2017, 11:37:49 AM
The right way its to use solar panels and also wind turbines to make electricity. That would be the cheapest way to mine bitcoin dont you think? So the only waste you gona have its on the antminers and asic etc.

There's going to be a revolution in energy production in the next couple years, which is going to change the game for everyone.

wind and solar energy is not suitable for.
they're not stable.

Not good if you running hardware mining.. that eats a lot of power .. but if you can invest a lot in solar power maybe it could be enough to stay stable in mining..
Maybe would be the best choice if you mine in GPU mining than asic mining.. But i heard there are other big mining farm are just using the solar as power source in day light but in night they are just switching to normal electricity power.. this would be a great to decrease spending in electricity bill.. since we know solar power are not stable.

Well yeah at night you gota switch back to normal. Well i wonder if there are any pool of miners using this method or something.  There are also methods using river and stuff.

Yeah. Mining with free electricity is good for all the people who live in that area because they can less thier electricity consumptions and they no longer to pay the electric bills.

Look into the numbers.  Where I am a $30,000 investment in solar will save me about $1200 a year.  How in the fuck is that free?

Maybe you didnt calculate right or you didnt look up for it. You dont just use energy for your own. There are also contracts where you can sell the electricity you produce if its over the limit you want =). So you can also mine for "free" and sell the power you produce.

I just can not afford to use the solar that will be used in the mining system .
It's a good thing but it's stolen and it's not going to return that investment
and that's not what we're going to do .

solution;  home made "nuclear energy"  :) endless free electricity

How come solar panels and wind turbines became cheap? The cost to built either farms are really expensive. The cheapest solar panel is around $10, which can't produce enough electricity to mine 24/7 using ASICs or Antminers. Same with wind turbines, as the cheapest is around $350 which a single turbine couldn't produce the needed energy to mine. In short, you can't jusy rely on a single piece of equipment.

Think of it, you have to invest thousand of dollars for buying the equipment. Also, solar panels and wind turbines needed maintenance, meaning additional expenses. Then add up your investment to those expensive ASICs and Antminers. Do you still think that is very cheap?

I am not really sure of that. If you want to have your own solar panels in the best of my knowledge, I think solar panels are also expensive to have. Here in our country some people here have already that because some housing loan already offering that but their monthly payment in their house is too high and their electricity is small sometimes free. But after you finish your monthly bills in your house you can have your own but it is still not easy to have it.
