Eth is going very well. And actually i just shocked when i saw the price is 400$ , because i never think eth can be pump like this in 2017!  But now it's happening.

So, what do you think , can eth touch 500$ mark in new year ?

This is very likely to happen. Ethereum keeps pushing and pushing and it seems this time it could go even higher. Markets are very suitable for etherum to keep on goin. That 500$ milestone will be achieved before too long.

I wouldn't be surprised if this happened by the end of this year. Ether did a great job by creating a platform for ICO funding, and although ICOs still don't have a great reputation, there is a small portion of them that are actually legit and compensate all the others (enjin coin, file coin, pundi, bounti, tenX, storj, are just a few examples). Regulation can actually help ehtereum a lot, and I think this is already happening, and this is why it's price is rising. they will even have it's first regulated bond, and this means that institutional money might start going into ether as well, because more legit ICOs will use ethereum platform, and more investors will buy them.

In a new year and that's possible. Maybe we will see the ethereum will worth more in the next month and but i guess about the $500 should become our next pit stop to the ethereum's price. the market is really bullish.

Most defintly, Eth is best cryptocurrency right after bitcoin, people really underestimate how good Eth is, and because how good it is and how many new things it brings to the crypto world makes it  the next perfecxt traget for investors and bussnies owners, right after bitcoin, and in my opinion the higher the bitcoin will go the more and more people will start getting interssted in the cryptocurrency and this will lead to ethereum becoming more popular wich will lead to its price rising up, it may not reach high prices like bitcoin where it is worth 1000$ or 2000$ dollars, but it will be the most used crypto currency, just look at how many people are annoncing the release of ICO's which are based on ethereum.

With its popularity, I say yes. Being dubbed as second to Bitcoin will eventually help. It's faster than bitcoin and cheaper so new people to crypto will find it better with ETH than BTC thus having more following.

I was very very sure until yesterday but I’m not now as I’m seeing that Ethereum has again started the drama of moving around the single price which it did the whole year when it was around the $300. Now it stands at the rates of 450/ETH but no use because it is still there and it could have moved ahead of the $500 already and more than 800 USD after the year end. Yes, that what I was thinking about it and things are now going other way round. I already did buy many Ether coins but it seems that people are somehow putting the investment into bitcoin after seeing that the bitcoin has crossed over 9K mark today morning. This is so cool about the bitcoin but anyway as we speak about the ether prices here I’m now ambiguous whether the money will come back into ether to now. IF it does then how much time it will take we can’t tell that surely and may wanna see it by all ourselves in first place.

After bitcoin hits 10k in the next two weeks then pulls back, ETH will go to 670 in the end of Dec. then pull back to 380 then run next year to 1000 probably in Feb. So says I.

The actual price is almost near to 500$. So yes I believe Ethereum can hit this level in the new year and maybe even surpass it. Lastly the price increased highly and it keep rising every week almost , and also so many investors start buying big amounts of Eth because they need it for trading tokens and investing in ICOs.

Possibly. Actually, it's achievable. Or maybe more than that, because only few bucks away to reach that price. So reaching that price is easy. Right now, it's slowly climbing up and the volume seems fine even though Bitcoin is sucking most of the volume from altcoin market. I think it's just a matter of week before Ethereum reach that price. Sad to say i have not buy some when it's still cheap. Now, i just have to wait more. I do expect even on Bitcoin too. Price do move really fast because of this holidays season just like in the past years which prices do tend to rise up on these days but later on it would really correct its price again.Regarding on the price of ETH it can possible reach up $500 if the movement of price would able to sustain and 34 days would really be long but knowing the movement of ETH on past months we can say that it wont really able to reach out that price on year end but well who knows.

If the bitcoin is in the way to hitting high then rest of the alts may face down respectively. It depends on their pushing as well.
Also the projects and the performance may express its success through its value so ETH may find its way to high price.

Now ETH is at $461.25. It would surely hit $500 plus at New Year 2018. Last five days growth of ETH has been alarming. Very positive growth. In my opinion ethereum is also a good potential coin but currently the ethereum is undervalued but I hope the price of ethereum will be $2000 or even more at the end of 2018 because many tokens are introduced based on the ethereum so it will increase the demand which means price will also increase.

Ethereum current price is $481 so I think it will touch $500 in December and price will even touch $600 before end of this year as ethereum is a good coin. You're oversimplifying the market. If it were that obvious the price would be well above where it is now. This is a new investment vehicle to most. It doesn't follow traditional valuations. There is still a ton of risk.

After every pump there is a little dump or a so called "correction".
ETH just went near the 480 dollars so quick that now it will have to come back to a more reallistic value before pumping again.
It will probably come back to the 400 dollars support line, then will be back to other summits :)
Anyway, there is no doubts that eth will be one of the strongest coins in the near future, I don't see any signs that tell that it won't touch 500$ soon.

I wouldn't be suprised if it does go to 500, we already saw BTC going from 1.2k this year to over 10k. Many were calling that Bitcoin will reach 10k before the end of 2017 and now we are seeing this milestone being touched at the begin of December, so we have an entire month to go which has a lot of potential. I think it's likely that it will go even to 15k, so the other beneficiary will of course be ETH, when the overal outlook is bullish the all the coins are gaining some piece of the cake, in case that happens I think that ETH at 500$ is quite conservative, we'll see way more beyond that and that will happen only if more money will start pouring in, but considering the entire situation in the market I think it's very likely.

Regarding others observation including mine, i can say that eth can surely attain value of 500$ or more. Before the year ends, we can assure that eth will continuously be rising due to the pumping, maybe it can also reach 600$ within this year or early weeks of January 2018. My only concern is if the bitcoin goes up again, then it might slow the progress of eth resulting to not attaining the expected value of 500$ within this year. But nonetheless, eth will gradually increasing in value, so what ever happens, it will reach the value of 500$ and can even surpass it a couple of times more.

Good question, if you look at ETH price against USD it's really good, almost near ATH. But if you look at price against BTC it's less than 1/3 of ATH. I believe ETH will be more than $500 and $1000 when the time comes. $500 is probably this year and $1000 is next year.

Yeah me too, and now in coinmarketcap the price ethereum is $474 maybe more than your predicted. My pridict is the price ethereum in new year $1000, i will wait and see the price will go up.

I think that eth will touch $500 this year and we are already very close with over a month to go. I suspect that we may see $500 sometime in the next week or so but that eth may struggle to keep this price and drop back to the mid to low 400s. There is a lot of promise with eth still and a very believing community.

I don't think so, we only have almost 1 month to go. On the other hand, ehereum shows very positive improvement this year. So there is always the possibility to increment the value depending on the case to case situation on the competition of the market.

It does not have to be that long before Ethereum can touch that level of value. As of now, we are still in November. There is still a couple of days left to be exact. And so far we are only a few dollars short of $500. I am very optimistic that Ethereum will finally arrive at the $500 level before November ends. And in the month of December, Ethereum might break another All Time High in $600 or even beyond. There is enough basis even if we move the maximum and yet realistic target for Ethereum to $650. The pattern is very bullish for Ethereum for now. I hope it will be sustained.

Me, too. I share the same sentiments, even regretting on converting it all. I should have waited more. The pump that just happened with Ethereum was massive. It climbed nonstop and broke its previous All Time High in a little more than $400. It even went almost $500. Or did it even achieve that limit? However, the sad thing is that after the pump, there followed a dump that might not have been massive but little by little yet consistent. But of course I still believe that Ethereum will hit $500 within December.

The ETH already have touched $500 early this month. There is a short but continuous dump but ETH for sure will recover as it is already now in $485 dollars value. Plenty more days to come and plenty more days to increase its value, even though ETH is currently experiencing problems, it will soon be over $500 dollars before the year ends and it will hold position in their not decreasing below $500. We should wonder if it the best way to use the current value of Ethereum, $440, is to hold it in Ethereum or in a different coin. Ethereum is facing a couple of threats: competition from other coins, a long road of about 5 years ahead to fix the scaling problem, Ethereum is not really suitable for saving since it's used for applications and transactions.

Today Eth has crossed the $500 mark and I believe the same growth will continue even after the new year taking it reach price that's been speculated. As more and more tokens get into usage with ethereum as the base we can have a sustained growth unlike other digital assets.
