Title: ASIC Farm or GPU Farm ? Post by: Guvn0r on November 24, 2017, 09:19:31 PM I have already invested a good amount to get few ASIC miners from Innosilicon (A4+ LTCMASTER) and everything is going well except I had to wait 5 months for delivery.
Now, that I am thinking of expanding my mining - I have a good amount to invest, >=50K $... Seeking advice from experienced miners, speculators and everyone, whether I should get some SHA, Scrypt, X11 Asics or Should I build a GPU mining farm... Thank you, Have a Good Day! Title: Re: ASIC Farm or GPU Farm ? Post by: MickeyT2008 on November 24, 2017, 09:23:01 PM Asic Farm, you can buy a huge one with that amount of money, but if you are really going to invest more than fifty thousand dollars, try to use five thousand and let them into a reserve.
You would never know if you will have to replace one of your asics. Maybe one of them starts to be failing and you need to replace it. Asic's are being more profitable right now because they are having a better technology at the moment, GPU's are not worth it, and you want to invest a good amount of money, so dont even think about buying gpu's because if you dont have a good source of energy, they can be burned. Title: Re: ASIC Farm or GPU Farm ? Post by: Crypt1x on November 24, 2017, 09:26:04 PM I suggest setting up a GPU mining farm. Because you can dig many coins with the GPU and you can sell these graphics cards very easily if you do not want to mining. I suggest you buy graphics cards.

The quality of power is not that great, also there are frequent power outages in my place - never consistent. So I guess it is risky to have a GPU farm running.. Do you think ASICs are much safer considering the quality of power and outages? I suggest setting up a GPU mining farm. I am a noob in mining, I have only mined with a couple of GPUs and a 4770k...no much experience other than that. But like MickeyT2008 said there is a chance of GPU/PSU getting burned..I ve to agree because the power is not so great or consistent. Title: Re: ASIC Farm or GPU Farm ? This can be risky if you overclock it, but there will be no problem if you do not overclock it so it will not go out of warranty. However, I still recommend asic miner devices. However, I still recommend asic miner devices. Can ASIC handle power outages..do they get damaged if there happens to be one? When I used to mine with GPU, the power usually goes out once everyday... I have noticed slight damages to my cards...It sometimes gets stuck/hang etc.. I am wondering if ASICs can get damaged by sudden loss of power I thing GPU is better, because more potential :) Do you think GPU mining will become more profitable than ASICs? why? Title: Re: ASIC Farm or GPU Farm ? Post by: HSRP on November 25, 2017, 08:22:49 AM I would choose ASIC instead of GPU. Although priced higher than the GPU, the ASIC is a device that maximizes profitability for miners. ASIC is designed just for miners purpose so it will surely give the investor the highest profit.
