Title: New to crypto any advice?
Post by: CryptoConnoisseur on November 25, 2017, 09:33:14 AM
Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to crypto and I'm eager to learn more about the subject I have a few questions and would love some advice. What would you consider to be a good coin to start with as a beginner and why? Are faucets any good? Final question, is cryptocurrency trading a viable way to make a living? Any response is highly appreciated, Thank You.

For getting some coins faucet is a possibility (you can try freebitco.in: around 600 claims/h for 30 000k sat) but you can't get rich with this, you will also get only a really really small amount (around 50sat) so it is better and more profitable to collect recyclable rubbish and sell that... ;). Starting Trading with no know how and not enough money is really risky... you will loss more than you gain. ::) The easiest way to start into crypto is to buy some and hold theme till you think it's enough profit, But Attention don't invest in Shitcoins. Use stable coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or Waves...

1Sat is 0.00000001 BTC  :-\

Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna stop wasting time with these faucets if they pay that little it's not really worth the time. I had been eyeing etherium since it was at about 170$ but I didn't really know much so I didn't jump in. What makes a coin shitcoin? Is it low volume, low price, small market cap or is there something else to look for when evaluating coins?

A Shitcoin/ Scamcoin is a Coin which is invented by an company or person. They sell this coin only for getting other coins/ currency's and close this coin after that/ or doesn't care it anymore(like Onecoin, swisscoin and so on...).
Here is the mining of an shitcoin better decelerated  (https://steemit.com/shitcoin/@stellabelle/a-guide-for-newbies-what-is-a-shitcoin)
The easiest way to learn more about coins is to communicate in this Forum or searching in the Internet maybe you can also find some interesting facts on YouTube videos.
Goodluck ;D
