Title: Komodo platform- did it become a scam?
Post by: king_of_fools on November 25, 2017, 03:25:54 PM
Not sure what is going on with Komodo platform. Looks like it is in a  total disarray.
I could not login in ICO swap site, https://ico.komodoplatform.com/.
I swapped Bitcoin Dark for KMD a month ago, they did not have the KMD processed until 3 days ago, now I am not able to log in into the platform for 2 days.

So, they still own me 200KMD and at this point I am very skeptical if I a will get those.

I sent an email to them asking about processing time, etc, with no avail. No answer , period.
This smells bad. I will post if anything changes for good.

KMD was very chaotic from the very beginning of ICO, and KMD team was very poorly appraised, and I doubt KMD team of authors maliciously manipulated the price of KMD.

You should be lucky that you got back coins forthe SWAP.

There are alt coins who are in the mode to cheat and run away with investment without honoring what they are supposed to do. I hope the KMD honors the investors and members what they are due of?

please be serious

komodo is probably one of the ONLY projects with a real proven developer of outstanding talent.

yes though they are quite slap dash about taking care of swaps and stuff.

This project is likely to be a top 10 project long term.

Although I will say that although he is a proven dev of considerable skill he is anon so if you consider that a risk then fair enough,

I don't think they are on purpose taking your 200btcd  it will get sorted out im sure.

i dont believe to a word in this post
there were so many swaps from BTCD to KMD.. and it keep going
the team is very responsive about the swap and gave a full year for the swaps - yet no complaints
you always can come to slack and talk directly to jl777 and other team members
they have dates for the swap - if you follow the dates you get everything
so dont blame or spread fud please heh

Pls, do not put this in FUD category, without checking/knowing facts. first...

it is a fact that one can not log in in the ICO site as of now, try, if you have an account.
It is a fact that they have not swapped my BTCD swap has been pending for a month and I never get any reply to my emails.

I appreciate the full year of the swaps, but lack of response of any kind does not look good...

I never stated anything which is not true and I can prove all the facts, so pls take it easy with the "FUD spread" insinuations.

I do believe in the dev team, even though there has not been anything new in the development for long time.
I agree that from all I have seen their lead developer has talent.
Also agree that Komodo platform sounds really promising and I still believe in the coin.

And I do not expect a stellar customer service, however, I did not expect a blatant disregard.

1) they make this swaps organized, every 3 months - ask in the KMD ANN page at bitcointalk
2) you can go to sprnt.slack.com and talk to anyone you want

good luck

Thank you, that is the information I was looking for.

I managed to open a new ticket and this time the dev team just came back to me acknowledging the issue and providing a date for the swap.

I really appreciate all the help from this forum!
