Title: Coinbase BTC address Signature
Post by: LaStOpTioN on November 26, 2017, 09:49:17 AM
Hello,

I lost my account last month. Someone hack it but i can't recover, because my address that i used on this forum is from Coinbase Wallet & i can't find a way to sign a message.
Is there a way to sign a message to Coinbase BTC address so i can send a recovery message to Cyrus.
Or how to Flag that account because he's using my Sr.Member account for Forum Signature Campaigns.
Account ID : LyQaN

Thanks in Advance

You can't sign a message with coinbase address since a long time now. It was possible before but they removed it for whatever reason they had.
So I don't think there is another way to prove this account is your
It's good t use an address that you can use only for this, even if you continue to use coinbase

I only used one BTC address for that account & i'm still using it for receiving money.
I'm adsense seller & i sent that address in private message to my customers, i have PM ID of those messages & BTC transaction ID my customer show me after he send me BTC in those PMs.
But if i can't recover it its fine but i don't want that scammer/hacker to use my account to earn money.
So please tell is it possible to flag that account or give negative review?

LyQaN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=514184)'s post quality dropped a lot about 6 weeks ago, it's obvious it has a new "owner". But you'll need some hard evidence to get it tagged/recovered. Is there any other way to prove this, through your old customers for example? Do they know anything else than your Coinbase address?
It might not be enough for Cyrus, but it could be enough for some DT2 red trust.

http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ isn't working, so it's hard to find which address you posted. Can you post the address?
I can think of this: I can create a vanity address (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1813624.0) for you, starting with 1Hacked. You fund this address with a sufficiently large amount, then send it to your Coinbase address. It's no air-tight evidence, but it proves you either threw out that much money, or you own the address on Coinbase.

My BTC Address i sent to customers in PM: 1JXtkjr2eQY71S4jAm72F1NUfnht1NsZC3

I have some evidence & already send those to Cyrus but got no reply so i don't think he will recover my account with those type of proofs :(
Like i send him my Skype Id i used to post in my posts for selling account & i still have access to it, Skype ID : lastopti0n
We can chat on that Skype or even i can show my email with all previous PMs mails from BTC Forum in my yahoo account.

Can some of them confirm this here? That would be a start.
I know Admins can still see deleted posts, but Admins are also very busy, and many accounts get compromised each day.

I don't think anyone will come here to verify because 2 of my buyers whom i PM my BTC address are newbie & i think that was just dummy account for purchasing adsense.
Btw i'm posting PM Ids with those customers clearly showing BTC address.
