Title: Claymore tweaking help Post by: Mathero11 on November 26, 2017, 11:36:56 AM Hello,
Im new to GPU mining and have since 2 days a single GPU. Because out of stock, the other 3 GPU's are coming next week. I got the RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB with Hynix memory. I have flashed another BIOS on it with custom memory straps. Now im dealing with something, electricity is expensive in my country so im trying to get the best tweaks for high mh/s and low wattage usage. Settings 1: I'm starting the miner without .bat, just with the config settings. Msi afterburner Core clock: 1100 Memory clock: 2210 (no other tweaks via afterburner) Result 1: Dual mining ETH + DCR ETH: 29.6mh/s DCR: 445mh/s Wattage use (+ mobo, cpu, ssd etc.): 160W Temp: 42 degrees celsius. 1 memory error in 12 hours Now I saw some other people getting 30mh/s + and 800mh/s + with the same card so I googled and found a .bat file setting. Settings 2: Starting the miner with the .bat Code: -etha 0 -dcri 33 -r 300 -tstop 85 -tt 65 -cclock 1200 -mclock 2250 -cvddc 970 -mvddc 950 Result 2: Dual mining ETH + DCR ETH: 30.3mh/s DCR: 1000mh/s Wattage use (+ mobo, cpu, ssd etc.): 210W Temp: 48 degrees celsius. sice 3 hours no memory errors. Can anybody help me to lower wattage with a bit, but somehow keep the speed? And please be not so hard with me, I do not understand everything. Thanks guys! Go reduce and check the amount of memory errors. Title: Re: Claymore tweaking help Post by: MATHReX on November 26, 2017, 12:49:24 PM Set -cvddc at 875 and remove -mvddc.
That's all you need. Title: Re: Claymore tweaking help Post by: Pennywis3 on November 26, 2017, 12:53:03 PM You have bad memory timings, with good ones you would be getting that speed at 2000 -2050 memory clock.
First you need good timings if you want decent speed at low clocks. Title: Re: Claymore tweaking help Post by: Mathero11 on November 26, 2017, 02:00:32 PM Set -cvddc at 875 and remove -mvddc. That's all you need. Wow, same speed, 3'C lower and 10W reduced. No memory issues yet, I will test this all day. Thank you MATHReX ! |
