Title: Crypto watchlist / portfolio trackers (Rainmeter for Windows desktop skins) Post by: e46m3 on November 26, 2017, 05:03:18 PM Hello everyone,
I wasn't satisfied with the available ticker / widget options for tracking crypto prices, so I decided to make my own. Hopefully some of you will find them useful. The first tracks CoinMarketCap data. You can view a list of assets sorted by market cap, with an adjustable starting point and count. The second is a cryptocurrenty portfolio / watchlist. By modifying the Portfolio-User.inc file, you can track a specific list of assets by symbol, and view your holdings and USD value for each. Been a fan of rainmeter before but only for aesthetic purposes but tell me, how heavy is this on CPU usage? I wouldn't want this slowing down my regular and other tasks. Also from where does this fetch data from? I haven't had any issues with CPU so far and I only have 4GB RAM. You can always limit the number of coins you track (both skins are adjustable) or use the small / medium variants to reduce the load. The tracker uses coinmarketcap and the portfolio / watchlist uses cryptocompare for data. |
