Title: Bitcoin price rising>altcoin value increase
Post by: Digital Mutant on November 26, 2017, 09:14:36 PM
Hello

If bitcoin price rise then altcoin value rise too?

An example:

ethereum is now 0.04984100 BTC

one week ago it was 0.04472200 BTC

but in the meantime bitcoin pumped more than 1000$...

so it means that also ethereum value in bitcoins is higher isn't it?

And this is the same for all altcoins...

So do you think is right thinking that if bitcoin price rise then altcoins value is higher?

It doesn't work like that as you described. Bitcoin and Ethereum growth is conditioned by different factors. Regardgin other altcoins it can even be contrariwise - when BTC grow, most of trades sell altcoins and buy BTC and when it falls then alts start growing.

You can't say that. one day it raise and one day it falls. so is cryptotrading

When bitcoin is heavily grown, then altcoins grow slightly in doloras, or stand still, and in bitcoins only fall

Logically you would expect that if bitcoin price increased in terms of usd and eth (for example) stayed the same then eths price in bitcoin would go down, this generally is the case but it isn't always working that way, many times if one falls the other falls, in the long run the suggested relationship occurs but it isn't instantaneous.
