Post by: brexbits on November 26, 2017, 10:53:54 PM
Hello All

185 days ago I accidentally confused a d for b when sending 1.25 ethers to my ether wallet. The ether is still in the wallet its the only ether ever sent to that address, is it possible nobody has claimed that address and is there any way I could possibly recover it????

I can offer a reward of .25 ether to anybody who can help me recover it!!!

thanks in advance ??? ??? ???

No, since it's a different address it's completely unrecoverable. It's unfortunate that ETH addresses don't have some sort of checksum. I believe wallets like Parity use capitalization to make a checksum, but if you've sent to the wrong address I don't think there's anything you can do.

No.

You would need SEED or Private key. If you don't have it, you can't claim that address.
