Title: Will my transaction actually go through?
Post by: BTC2You4Free on November 27, 2017, 03:26:38 AM
Hi all,

I (foolishly, perhaps) put a low transaction fee on my transaction and it's not had one confirmation after ~40 blocks... It makes me wonder, will it ever go through or do I need to wait for it to drop off the network then resend it with a higher transaction?

Here's the transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/05de333be53de4dd8844dfe8d436bcd0d96d3e43ab2f447fe645c562e13e4376 (https://blockchain.info/tx/05de333be53de4dd8844dfe8d436bcd0d96d3e43ab2f447fe645c562e13e4376)

Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

That is a really low fee  :(
I just tried to accelerate it using http://confirmtx.com, not sure if it's gonna work or not with that low fee.
Either your transaction will get confirmed within the next few hours or it's gonna get dropped by the network and then you can resend it with higher fee.
Next time, set recommended fee if you're in hurry, otherwise a medium fee.

Unfortunately, These three popular accelerators might not help you as stated below: (Your Transaction is 0.79 sat/B)

I accelerated a transaction which similar in size and fee (1sat/byte) on Antpool but up until now, its still unconfirmed. It's either because antpool's accelerator service prioritizes transactions with a higher included fee so the 1 sat per byte at lowest priority furthermore every minute a new TXID is submitted so this decreases your chances or maybe they just don't accept transactions with this fee.

As for viabtc, It doesn't meet the required minimum included fee (10sat/B)
And Confirmtx seems having a problem???

Uh thanks very much. How did u do that? Do u know ppl from there? :) ConfirmTx I already tried a few days ago though. Unfortunately didnt do anything

lets see if ConfirmTx can really stand up for his name, there was a bit ruckus on his thread.
I also have a few stuck txs about same BTC (~250k sats) with ~1sat/byte fee but 3k in size
they are still unconfirmed to this day ~18 days  :o and still displayed on bc.info and blocktrail

If op or someone uses the above accelerators for this transaction, The chances of getting it confirmed is low.

However there are still a few options you can try but it depends on which walllet you are using. Would you mind telling us?

Meanwhile you can try these options:

I'm not sure if they are still offering this but you can ask the miners here like Quickseller (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=358020) and macbook-air (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=16114). You can try offering any amount to increase your chance.

Or use Coolwave's accelerator services here in our forum. Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2204426.0

Lastly, Wait for your transaction to be dropped. There's no exact time for this and it might take longer.

Transactions always go through if they are broadcast, so yours has definitely gone through since the network recognises it. It's confirmation of your transaction that will be the issue, given your low fees. I've saved you the trouble of fussing about by submitting it for acceleration, so you now just need to be patient, it should confirm in several hours.

Do yourself a huge favour and read this Sticky Post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0

It will teach you all you need to know as a first step towards dealing with this type of transaction and preventing them in future.

Why would a miner be inclined to process the transaction with no fee though? Surely it would just keep on getting pushed at the back of the queue.

Thank you, everyone, for your help! And thank you to those who have submitted it for acceleration - I really appreciate it! :D It's still not gone through, but I'm in no huge rush, as long as it does actually go through at some point... I'll keep looking into it though and hopefully it will sort soon :) I'll also have a look at the links everyone suggested!

Thanks again!

Still your transaction seems not yet confirmed bro. If it is not confirmed still you will be able to accelerate by your own. There are some transaction acceleration sites in online you can use any one of them to make the bitcoin transaction confirmed as soon as possible. Please make sure next time you are not having the cheap fees in your transaction.
If you create your own antpool sign you can do the priority acceleration in it. Please find the link to do that if you find issue again.

Excellent, thank you! I'll see how that goes :)

Worst comes to it, I'll get a bit more BTC together and up the transaction fee in the wallet (virtually empty right now)...

(If anyone wished to help with that, here's my address: https://blockchain.info/address/33Efb8LBTPfHRQ1qkUv47EYEtT9oEEs3Q5 (https://blockchain.info/address/33Efb8LBTPfHRQ1qkUv47EYEtT9oEEs3Q5) ;) )

Thanks!

This transaction is probably too small to send if the normal tx fees were applied.

Hello, when i used blockchain, i have this problem with low fees too, but, as i know, after 48 hours if tx still be unconfirmed - your bitcoins goes back to your wallet.

If transaction stucked due to network or mining pool delay that can be accelerated with the any online acceleration tool. If you have low fees to transacting the bitcoin it might not successful after sometime.
However, please share your TX ID here below bro. I will try to accelerate with the viabtc accelerator. If you can do, try it from your end too.

Just bought some BTC and I'll bump the fee with that - hopefully it'll work :)

To survive today funding is mandatory.
The same holds true for tomorrow and days ahead.
Hence, the necessity is to create a recurring source of funds that would secure the minimum material necessities of our daily lives.
Once this is established, we can move into expansion or diversification without disturbing the already established process.
Hence, we slowly need to move into a recurring process of magnification of fund inflow.

And, Bitcointalk is the safest and a secure way to start.

That is my goal.
