With BTC sooner or later within these days hitting the 10k mark (now around 9-10k) i cant help but wonder if one can buy BTC and still make a profit or should i just hold on to my ethereum and watch the market due to the fact that it can fall back

you'll never know if btc or other currency will rise or drop. personally, i think that it will be cheaper for a while, but you'd better read other opinions too :)

No one can say that. You need to find it out yourself by learning Bitcoin, Market and Investing policies. Also, you need to learn how to take calculative risks on your investment. Well, I am buying.

Depends on what you believe how the price is going to turn out in the long run. If you think that the price will continue to increase, then there is no harm in buying further. However, everyone thinks a correction or a dip is on its way, so I would be cautious, especially since we are so close to the psychological barrier of $10K.

I exited at 9.560 and now I am waiting for a good re-entry point. A correction should come in my opinion, because the growth was too quick.

this question was asked when bitcoin was $100, and been asked all the way along. I am expecting it is going a lot higher, just think if it is used like visa or master card.

As it skyrockets and heads for the Moon so does the value of those fees being paid. A lot would have to change for that to happen.

It will hit $10,000 no matter what happens and even there will be a lot of people that will tell it's not worth to invest in bitcoin for higher price. Do as what your heart tells but if I were you, it's still early to be worried about the price of bitcoin as to be expensive. What you need to do is get in while the train isn't going.

If growth continues (1000% per year), what is the difference for you to buy for 2000 $ -> 9500 $ or $ 10000 -> 100000%.

Bitcoin recently stood at $ 4,000. It was necessary then to take.

I wouldn't say that it is the best time to buy into bitcoin now, since the value might always go down to at least $8500 or even less. To avoid loosing some of your money, rather just wait but don't wait for too long, wait for lows such as $8000 and buy. However, its also risky since we are not aware that will go back down any time soon but its actually not a good idea buy bitcoin now, too much risk involved.

This is a super bad moment for you to buy bitcoin. Why you didn't buy before ? at lower prices ? Maybe you can buy some alts or invest into some good ICO's , like HDAC and TokenPay.

Bitcoin will reach 10K but that will not just stop there so most probably if you buy now you will still make a profit as long as you hold for about months or years, check the chart history of bitcoin, back then price is worth almost nothing reason for that is that there is not much support from the community that bitcoin gets but as years went by bitcoin price gradually rise. The people who had faith, same people who bought back then and is keep on hodling are the same people who will have a great profit but if you are buying at 10k you will still make a profit if it reach 11K it is not the same as before but still that is profit.

I think that the probability of bitcoin to reach 10.000 $ before end 2017 is very high.... trend is very bullish!

Bitcoin lost 30% of its value from Nov 7 to Nov 11. It will happen again. So just watch the charts and look for another 30% pullback and buy then. At current price of $9600 that would mean you bid at $6700. You want to buy when others are selling to get a good entry.

This is the best time and any time under 50k or 100k even. But if you can yes buy as much as you want. As investment advice I say don't invest more than you can afford to lose, but deep down I want to say sell everything you got and your least favorite pet so you can get in now while they are actually still relatively cheap. In a couple years the price will easily be double.

In my own opinion, No this is not the best time to buy bitcoin since bitcoin is approaching to 10k, there will be a possibility of price crash in early 2018 since some of the holders will sell their bitcoins when bitcoin reached 10k although it still your choice to buy bitcoins now or wait the price to crash. It just my speculation don't use it as your guideline.

Right.The current price may be too expensive but if you have enough funds for buying,then go for it.We may not be sure of the price by next year but hopefully it will continue to rise up like most people think it on a positive way.With this,you will still get a huge profit if you buy now and start holding it today.

The price might look a bit expensive, but the growth is happening big and expected to continue for a longer time period. This lets the user get good profit even when the same is kept hold in a wallet without making any big moves. Also price predictions have been made reaching much higher value. I'd it reaches half the value of the predicted amount too, we'll get a big profit.

With the quick rise of the price it will surely having a little bit of price correction. I think you should on those corrections dips. There you will get lot more profit.

We will never know what price would become of bitcoin for the upcoming years. Invest or buy on the amount you can afford to buy and hold for a long term. Yes it will be more huge in the future.

I would suggest to buy at a dip and not when it's on the rise. 10k is major milestone and bitcoin correction is overdue.

No one can predict the future but BTC will definitely reach 10k then can make you around 5% profit if that is what you expect

Just wait for some correction as it soon that when btc hits new ATH it will likely to happen. But if you can afford now to buy then buy as soon btc price will be more valuable as ever like nobody can easily afford it. Bitcoin is now up on the ride so never missed out.

yes , you can still buy bitcoin and make a profit. even if you only buy a  heapful amount of satoshi's in can still worth big enough just by basing on todays price of bitcoin. thats why  i  highly  suggest for you  is to go and buy now , as soon as possible because the clock is ticking and the world is moving fast.  also etherium is now pumping , therefor investing on both of them is a win win situation and a bang on the buck. gudluck.

IMO bitcoin never really has the 'perfect' time to buy. You buy today, price drops tomorrow and you regret. You don't buy today and price increases tomorrow, then also you will regret. If you are not looking to sell BTC soon then I think buying right would not be a bad idea. There might be a price correction after 10k but after few weeks or so the price will start increasing again.

You should wait until after we hit the 10k mark and reach a correction period. If you see the price dipping below 9k, it's a good time to buy. We'll be having some growth next year but there is a strong chance that people have put in their sell offers at 10k for what they believe will be the max profit they'll get. Honestly, I think if they stick around longer, they'll get more, but it's their choice; we'll need to see how it goes.

About bitcoin, everyone can guess, because everyone have no correct information, we only predict to see the price. Now bitcoin is in $9744 and it is big price. If we wanna buy bitcoin then can buy it but fall will be happened now or within month. But this fall can't come bitcoin at $7000. Now we will see bitcoin at all the time in future above $7000.     

Of course you can still earn when you buy BTC but if you have ethereum then it is better if you will hodl those coin since the conversion of ETH to BTC is quite low, if you are planning to invest more fiat into crypto ETH has more profit per dollar than BTC as of now because of it's lower price.

Actually, the best time to buy Bitcoin is preferrably when its market value is falling. The maeket value of Bitcoin is now already expensive but since the value of Bitcoin is continuously increasing I think it will be still a good idea to invest at this point since it will still yield to huge profit in the future.

Buying anything in the middle of so much attention is going to be risky, especially with bitcoin price being extremely volatile. I think that anything below $10000 right now is pretty much guaranteed profit you should capitalize on that.

Buying at $9900 with price going to $11k soon is a $1k+ turnaround, pure profit.

Now we are standing at a position where btc has reached $10k and now it depends upon us that whether we want to buy,quit or hodl.The prices might fall down nearly but notice the growth chart and you can also speculate the pump to be more powerful in coming years.If you buy at this price and wait for long term then it would not seem expensive compared to that price.Listen to your heart and make decision because your money your choice.

 Bitcoin price now is so high, that some of the investor can't afford to buy it anymore.

So for me the best time to buy bitcoin, is still when the value of it is in the lowest.

No one knows what will be the price of bitcoin in the future.
It will be safer to exchange just 50% of your Ethereum into Bitcoin since Etheruem market is flourishing these days.
Some expect Bitcoin price to hit 20K during the next year while others believe that a price correction will happen soon.
If you want to invest just do not put all your eggs in one basket and invest in different altcoins.

Indeed, we don't know for sure whether bitcoin will continue to rise or get corrected and fall below $9K again.
Consider some development and acceptance for bitcoin in some countries, especially in South Korea and CME plan to launch bitcoin futures which may attract more investors (big whales) to invest in bitcoin as well. In this case, bitcoin may continue to reach $11,000 in December.

I think if you have the means to, it is best to buy Bitcoins now because it was earlier predicted that Bitcoin will reach as high as $15,000. Although I am not sure if you can get a reasonable amount because surely, those who will sell their Bitcoins will rob you with whatever money you have considering how Bitcoin's price is pegged at the moment. Try to get a good deal not exceeding the value of $12,000. If you cannot find one, it will be extremely difficult to recover if its price suddenly drops.

There is approximately $25 trillion dollars worth of fiat in the world.  Right now there is $167 billion worth of Bitcoin.  Hypothetically if Bitcoin totally replaces fiat today its market capitilization would increase by 150x.  This would make 1 Bitcoin worth $1.5 million.

Everyone expects the Bitcoin price to fall soon. I also thought that will happen when it reached $10k, but now I changed my mind. I think it's just the beginning of the bubble and we have huge growth ahead of us. So my answer is yes - it's worth buying a BTC for $ 10k

Yes, it is the good time to buy the bitcoin at $10000 because the price of bitcoin is countinously increase day by day in every country. In the future the price of bitcoin may reaches to $14000 approx because the popularity and demand of bitcoin is reguraly increases by the people so it also a good time to buy the bitcoin. If you buy the bitcoin in future you will not got the more profit from the bitcointalk.

Price has started to move ahead slowly now so I will not buy at current price as its too high to me and I keep on looking for short term profits so buying at this price is really risky as we may see some correction in price in coming days so will wait for the price to go below $9k and if it does then will buy some more coins at that price and if it doesn't then will hold my existing coins and wait for the right time to sell it.

People can talk as much as they want, but it seems that this market isn't going to do what they expect it to do. With Nasdaq being interested in offering Bitcoin futures, there is so much more to gain than what we have experienced already, and for that reason I will not even cash out profits at $12,000 as it was my second target. I'll just let the market play out how it wants to, and from there will see what levels I will end up securing profits at. Important is that we'll see more support build up around $10,000 which is something that slowly but surely will happen.

I believe its right if you want to invest for some long time then you can do this because for short term its can give you shock some serious correction can disturb very badly you and your investment every time when its going to touch new highs we have some serious correction which is coming in next few days

Never late to buy bitcoin xD. Depend on your amount to investing to buy and your target with bitcoin : trading or holding. If you want buy BTC for trading, should check MACD, bollinger bands, RSI signal. If you only want hold for waiting increasing. Wait for 15-20th every month.

I think this is still likely to generate profits this year, but for the long term it seems a bit confused because there is absolutely no shadow in my opinion. So take your own decision do not be too in accordance with the predictions of others. because this is very risky.

Bitcoin investment always involves risk especially if you are looking to make short term profits as price can drop at any point of time but if your plan is to hold it for long term without touching it then you can take a risky of buying it even now as price will definitely go higher in long term and it can give you good profits even if you buy at the current price.

Right now, buying BTC is not wise, it has diopped to 8000 or 7000 before and it will dip firther. If you buy now you will hevaily regret not buying it at a lower price.

Whether it's the right time to make an earning or not doesn't matter. For person who can afford to make a single bitcoin can make good earning these days through the price fluctuations. The price variation happening between time I'd simply big, letting the users earn good.

There is minute chance of crash but now price has gone up from 10k and now approaching to 11k and this sign is the future clearness that bitcoin will go more high and there will be much more rise in the future and thus crash will only happen if many investor start selling and then there will be a dump nut that dump will be for those who have not enough money to buy at 10k so that’s true there will be yes/no for crash here.

History right ? One thing we have to understand is that BTC of last year is not the same as BTC of this year as the market has really matured and I am sure everyone can see that. In fact, the China FUD says it all compared to 2013 during the MtGox issue.

If we want to be comparing history right now, there are so many factors we have to be looking at, and I am not sure we can have those huge crashes anymore.

That was old convention when prices were falling and rising now bitcoin has found the right path and investors are also supporting bitcoin as bitcoin support them and now only rise will occur and nothing down will happen anymore and if you or anyone around you want to earn money they must not wait for the fall they must have to invest now otherwise buying will take much more price to earn profit in future,

The market to me is not really showing a lot of panic so far. We cannot ascertain where the chart leads but from what I can see from previous corrections and now, things are getting different. I cannot say much about coming days, but when it does, and then you should see a lot of traders buying in pretty fast.

Beginning of which bubble ? You call that a bubble? Well, it is your opinion and bubbles burst, whereas little corrections like this which you yourself stated it that a lot of people thinking this is a bubble are feeling it would even go lower than this and now the value is just busy hovering around $14,000 - $15,000. That shows some strength which a bubble cannot have.

I think that in the coming months, the price of Bitcoin will increase significantly, and the correction which will come after them will be huge. And then it will already be possible to call it the bubble bursting. Time will show, but it is still good moment to buy.
