Title: Is my Antminer S9 running fine?

So I have moved the Antminer to a new room that is quite hotter. I am puzzled by the numbers above and wondering if it's fine.

My question2:

1) My HW error rate is 0.0010%... It used to be at 0.0004% over the past few weeks, should I be worried?

2) Chip temp 82-79-82, is that worrisome? Too high?

3) Fan #6 is always running at 6,000 RPM. Is that a problem? Can it run at that speed forever and is it bad for the miner?

Overall the air flow is good but I'm just worried I am killing my antminer.

TYVM!!!!

Everything seems fine to me. You'll get more hardware errors the hotter it is, but 0.001% isn't very significant.

Dude, set aside an evening and skim through the s9 thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1493601.0). You have questions? ALL been answered multiple time in there....

watch your heat but you are still okay.

Hw 0.01 is too high
Hw 0.001 is okay

for every 1000 dollar you would earn you lose 1 dollar at the current rates

temps under 100 are okay

temps under 95 are better

temps under 90 are good

your temps are under 85  that is very good.

Hey sorry about that - I did searched a lot, but all posts I have discussed the PCB temp, and I don't have that on my antminer. Similarily, they said around 60 degrees was better but I don't have chip 1. Other than that, I am concerned about fans running at 6,000 RPM at all time.

Anyway, thank you all the answers! :D <3

Final question: if I restrict the airflow a bit, I cut the noise by a significant portion BUT all temps go up 2-3 degrees. Should I do it or is it too dangerous?

Your temps are very low, you have nothing at all to worry about. These things dont even shut off until you have passed 110 degrees chip temperature.

I wouldnt begin worrying about heat until you hit 100 on the chips.

As far as reducing flow, how are you doing it? If you are reducing it improperly and creating a bunch of drag you will kill your fans quicker.

Running your fan at 6000 rpm is fine, that is what they are built for.
