Title: Newbie question: How do I change the url? Post by: racingfree on June 30, 2011, 05:46:27 PM Hi, I thought I'd try this bitcoin mining out and so I followed the instructions here (http://iscyspace.com/) to do so. I finally ended up registering on this page (http://mining.bitcoin.cz) that tells me to "please point your miners to new url" without telling me - Queen Newb of Newbtonia - how to do so.

Post by: Yatta99 on June 30, 2011, 07:17:44 PM If you are running the latest version of GUIMiner then you have nothing to worry about. The change has already been made to the program (version 2011-06-14). If you are running an older version then you should get the new one.

What matters is the web address that the program points your miner to; the 'api.bitcoin.cz' address. It was different and changed a few weeks ago that's why there is a message to change it. The list of miner addresses can be seen in the file servers.ini in the guiminer directory if you want to look. It's just a text file so you can open it with notepad (but don't change anything unless you know what you are doing).
