Airdrop is dropping for free coins to some amount of users through easy tasks or information given. Developers hold the event in order to pay attention to their product, to interest potential users.

It depends. You really just need to spend more time reading the forums - especially the Alt Coin Announcements section. Some airdrops require nothing other than your address, some are a bit more involved. Every project is different. Once you've been around awhile, though, you'll get the hang of what is required. Most, though, do require you to have your account at a certain level - you'll need to increase your activity. Make insightful and constructive posts, though, otherwise they'll just get deleted.

I found a lot of airdrops in this forum, but when I filled in, I always can not get the coins.
They said that the participants are limited, so I am late for qualifying the coins. I did not make it once, crying.
Airdrop is not so easy, it needs you to get the newest information and act fast. But this is so impossible for me.

I finally found a clue to do these things.
The Facebook and Twitter is a must, as well as telegram.
I registered a telegram today, in order to get the coins.
For me, this is a whole new world, which is so funny.

because airdrop provider need your help to participate in to promote their token. therefore so many people are able to join, and they will be promoted through retweet and many others social media.

Im a newbie too, what do we do if there are airdrops announced? My friends told me that some airdrops are unsafe because you can be a victim of phishing and you can get all your cryptocurrency taken.

Yes there are some of airdrops are unsafe that`s why you need to be more careful and try to review what the form been given to you before you received the airdrops, there are lots of airdrop being announced in the forum try to look at it in the Ann Thread.

first devs do airdrop for better result, they want to give free token (airdrop) just to spread their upcoming ICO by the other people who participated in their airdrop, then after what ever the result, that result may be the reason to decide if they go to the next step, if their token will become familiarize for those people who got that info about their airdrop. second you can get that free token (airdrop) from participating on their thread, then you will fill up the form that they provide. after that you will receive a free token (airdrop) from their dev.

When joining airdops, don't ever fill personal information aside from your username, twitter, Facebook , telegram accts and ETH address. Never ever put passwords and other personal data on the form.

they gives airdrop if you do some of their task. like referral in signing in in their ICO website. airdrop is giving you some altcoins so if the coin has a value later. you can get a little bitcoin.

airdrop is easy, just fill form and wait for distribution
but not all airdrop is legit, many airdrop just give shit token
so my suggest, only join free airdrop dont join if must pay or donation bla bla
cause from what I know airdrop is always free  ;)

That's why it is very important to be extra cautious and not to enter to all Airdrops. Only on those that have been previously confirmed by somebody who is more experience.

As I know Airdrop was small bounty after or before ICO, Airdrop usually only Social Media Campaign like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, etc. Airdrop only two weeks till three weeks only. Airdrop need to referral to others members.

I joined an airdrop some days ago.
Today when i go back to their telegram group, the dev told us their project has been hacked.
So the coin will be worthless....

I think you should first be a junior member. After I you really believe in de deep onion project you can apply for it, all the info you can find on their website. Good luck.

How can you rank up your account? I've read somewhere that you have to write constructive comments. Is it true? Or does every post, even a small chat, count?

Comment about Safety with Airdrops. Most AirDrops my be legit. But others only want to scam you.  Also half the free airdrops will never send you tokens. And the ones that do send, most of the tokens will cost more to send them to an exchange than what you can sell them for.  But some may turn out to real projects with an end product.

1. Never give the same email that you use to sign in to Exchanages.  As they could try to hack you exchange account. Best to get a junk email account and use that.

2. Never give your phone number.

When we consider about Twitter followers and facebook friends do the number of followers or number of friends effect to our air drop?

(I meant if we have more followers or more friends can we get the more benifits from Airdrops?)

And also mostly we cant do the air drop ontime (we miss most) And if we do it later can we know that we have  participate the airdrop and we can get the benifits?
